Chapter 127: Deal Struck, the Law Armlet

~7 min read 1,221 words

"This is a Kryptonian female warrior whose strength is no less than my own," Fulade thought with a slight inward chill, immediately forming an assessment in his mind.

As he covertly eyed the diamond-shaped crystal on the Kryptonian female warrior's ample chest, a sharp gaze struck his way, and Fulade quietly shifted his eyes away.

"These are materials we captured regarding the Norman Federation's various types of warships and weapons systems. I wonder if you would be interested," said the Kryptonian commander, Saike.

Perhaps fearing that Fulade did not understand how precious these materials were, the Kryptonian commander specifically explained that the Norman Federation was a powerful civilization possessing over a dozen fully developed planes and nearly a hundred resource-rich demi-planes.

The Kryptonian commander knew the situation was dire and could only earnestly promote these technological materials that he considered fairly important.

Now he only hoped that the foreign powerhouse across from him would be interested in these materials; otherwise, given his current circumstances, he truly had no resources of equivalent value to offer in exchange.

The introduction from the Kryptonian powerhouse sent Fulade into wild delight inwardly, but outwardly he remained impassive.

"These materials may be extremely precious to technology-side civilizations, but for our Dark World..." Fulade shook his head and refused.

At Fulade's refusal, the Kryptonian commander only darkened his expression, clearly having anticipated it. After a moment of contemplation, he spoke again:

"I have a special Law artifact here, though I do not know whether you would be interested."

The Kryptonian commander produced a metal ring inlaid with four gemstones.

A faint fluctuation of Law rippled within it.

"This Law Armlet I excavated from the ruins of an ancient civilization several hundred years ago. Even after the passage of over a hundred thousand years, its condition remains quite well preserved," the Kryptonian commander said calmly.

"Oh, what does it do?" Fulade asked curiously.

A Law artifact was powerful equipment suited for fourth-tier powerhouses who had comprehended the power of Law, similar to the divine artifacts often mentioned in novels.

"This is a special Law artifact that integrates cross-plane teleportation, cross-plane communication, containment of living creatures, and soul enslavement into one."

Hearing this, Fulade showed a hint of understanding. He had just been wondering why the other party was willing to bring out this Law artifact — so it was a relatively niche auxiliary tool.

Before Fulade could speak, the Kryptonian powerhouse continued:

"I know this is still not enough to offset the value of those Krypton-series energy crystals, so I have also prepared a considerable amount of wreckage from various Norman Federation weapons and warships captured on the battlefield."

Facing the Kryptonian commander whose face was full of anticipation, Fulade pondered for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"Thank you for your help, esteemed foreign demigod powerhouse." A flash of joy crossed the Kryptonian powerhouse's eyes.

This transaction was absolutely a timely rescue for him. With their supply lines cut off today, having this batch of supplies was enough to let them hold out for a considerable while longer.

During the preparation period for the material exchange, Fulade asked quite a few questions about the Norman Federation's situation.

The Kryptonian commander did not refuse these questions.

After all, it was not intelligence about himself, so there was no question of keeping it secret or not.

But for Fulade and his companions, this was an excellent opportunity to learn about an alien civilization of the Star Realm.

Soon, Famic, having received Fulade's message, hurried over with the supplies the Kryptonian commander needed.

"I did not expect there to be so many demigod powerhouses. It seems the Dark World is also a powerful otherworldly civilization."

The Kryptonian commander could not help but sigh upon seeing Famic rushing over. Famic glanced in puzzlement at Fulade and the others, then looked toward the Altar Magic Array, and understood in an instant.

It turned out the Altar Magic Array had the effect of concealing and distorting auras.

As a result, the Kryptonian commander had all along believed that Fulade and his entire party conducting the transaction with him were powerful demigod powerhouses.

This was also a little precautionary scheme on the part of Fulade and his companions.

Although the Gate of Starlight had the effect of shielding and distorting spacetime coordinates, who knew whether unexpected situations might occur.

By concealing and distorting their own auras, they could interfere with the judgment of powerhouses from other planes, so as to avoid attracting unnecessary hidden dangers.

It was precisely this measure that made the Kryptonian commander treat Fulade and his party with such courtesy and respect.

"A pleasure doing business with you, foreign demigod powerhouse."

Reaching out to receive the exotic-style storage crystal teleported over from the Gate of Starlight, Fulade suppressed his excitement and bid the other party farewell.

The Gate of Starlight exhausted its energy and slowly dissipated.

A metal armlet emanating a faint fluctuation of Law, memory crystals recording numerous technological civilization materials, and spatial equipment containing a large quantity of metal wreckage.

From Fulade's perspective, this transaction was absolutely not a loss — in fact, he had struck it rich.

But for the Kryptonian commander, being able to exchange these chicken-rib items for a batch of important energy supplies, it was truly hard to say who had gotten the better deal.

One could only say that each side viewed matters from a different angle, and their values were naturally different as well.

Take that large quantity of metal wreckage from warship weapons and equipment — setting aside the inherent value of the alloys that could serve as warship weapons and equipment.

The outer armor alloy of the cosmic warships alone, if they could research and analyze the synthetic materials it contained, would undoubtedly shorten the Dark World's own development cycle in scientific research fields such as metallic materials, achieving a massive rapid leap forward.

Whether it was the large-scale war machines currently under development, or the space fortresses.

Or the outer armor of large equipment such as Floating Ships, all could rapidly undergo upgrades and replacements.

Not to mention there was also a considerable amount of precious Norman Federation technological materials, containing advanced weapons systems, power systems, energy conversion systems, and other advanced technologies, which perfectly complemented and corroborated the large quantity of wreckage from cosmic warships and other weapons.

Although the two sides' development systems were each entirely different.

If they could draw inspiration and make cross-applications from them to conduct localized research and development, it would provide a powerful boost to the Dark World's upcoming magitechnological development.

After handing the storage crystal containing a large quantity of wreckage and the memory crystals recording many Norman Federation technological achievements to Famic to bring back to Sky Island for urgent research.

Fulade then turned his gaze to the metal armlet emanating the aura of Law.

An aura steeped in the sediment of ages lingered over the metal armlet. Perhaps with the passage of too long a time, the exotic-civilization-style patterns on this metal armlet had long since blurred.

The metal armlet was inlaid with four differently colored unknown gemstones, each gemstone representing a different ability.

When Fulade poured his spiritual will into it, a piece of relevant information about the metal armlet immediately appeared in his mind.
