Chapter 20: Malisika and the Mysterious Ball of Light
Clearly, Ailina had already thought of something, and for a moment couldn't help but blush red.
Fulade looked at Ailina, whose chest heaved sharply up and down, and the corners of his mouth curled up.
"If you like it, it's not out of the question."
Ailina's whole body trembled, the roots of her ears turning crimson red — how could she not understand by now that she had gotten it completely wrong.
"I—I definitely don't!" Ailina hurriedly shook her head and refused.
Looking at the flushed, heart-pounding, gaze-wandering Ailina, Fulade twitched the corners of his mouth and decided not to tease her any further.
"Let's go. Come with me to meet your little friend," Fulade said.
Watching Fulade leave transformed into a bat, the blushing Ailina looked at the items in the Package, gritted her silver teeth, and hurriedly closed the Package and followed after him.
Wilson Marquis Manor.
In the room of Malisika, the Marquis's beloved daughter, something momentous enough to affect her entire life was unfolding at this very moment.
The originally beautiful and captivating Malisika, who had been widely sought after throughout the entire aristocratic circles of Istanbul, now had hollow, lifeless eyes and a vacant expression as she floated suspended in midair.
Ailina glanced over — the Malisika who, when they had first met, had been so arrogant and insolent, had now been reduced to this state.
"Master, isn't this perhaps not very good?" Ailina looked at Fulade with some unease and said softly.
"She simply needs a lesson."
Fulade said this while also casting a glance at Ailina, as if warning her.
In an instant, the words Ailina had still wanted to say in persuasion were frightened right back down her throat, lest she herself be subjected to the same treatment.
Now the look in Ailina's eyes toward Fulade couldn't help but grow strange.
"Master doesn't really~have this kind of kink, does he? It's over, it's over, how am I going to live from now on."
Ailina's face flushed bright red as her thoughts ran wild, seemingly already placing herself into some scenario, her heart thrown into turmoil.
Fulade walked to Malisika's front, and even until now Malisika had not yet come to her senses.
"She wasn't broken, was she?"
Looking at the beautiful girl before him with her head of golden hair and graceful figure, Fulade murmured to himself.
He reached out and untied the fastening behind Malisika's head, removed the small white ball covered in saliva, gently lifted the girl's chin, and simply gazed at her.
Only when Malisika's eyes began to move again did he feel relieved.
Over the course of one night, Malisika didn't know how many times she had experienced heaven and hell.
When she saw Fulade before her again, she couldn't help but silently shed tears.
"Does it still hurt?"
Fulade wiped away the golden-haired girl's tears, his words carrying an implied meaning.
Seeing Malisika's aggrieved expression as she slowly nodded, now completely devoid of her former prickly demeanor, Fulade finally untied the ropes binding the girl's body, gently picked her up, and placed her on the bed.
Looking at Malisika staring blankly at him with a pitiful look, Fulade couldn't help but sigh that illusions plus a Leather Whip were truly a wondrous combination.
"From now on, I'm yours. Don't abandon me."
Malisika suddenly clutched tightly onto Fulade's arm, pressing herself against him.
"Don't worry, from now on you'll be my bride. Naturally I won't throw you aside." He looked at the docile girl before him.
How was this anything like the prickly little wildcat from before?
"If you don't behave from now on, don't blame me for enforcing household discipline, understand?"
"Then when that time comes, could you~go a little easier?" Malisika said in a trembling whisper.
Fulade's eyes suddenly widened as he looked at the girl before him, her small lips slightly pouted, her watery eyes gazing at him.
This wasn't how the script was supposed to go! Had she been developed after all?
Fulade gave Malisika a deep look and did not answer the girl's question, but instead gently kissed her forehead.
He picked up the warm damp cloth Ailina handed him and wiped the redness, swelling, and sweat from Malisika's body.
Malisika stared blankly at Fulade above her head, feeling the warmth spreading across her body and the touch of his fingers.
She felt her whole body grow warm and toasty, enveloped for a moment by a feeling called happiness — dizzy and drowsy, wanting to sleep yet reluctant to close her eyes.
"Get some sleep. I won't leave."
Fulade could see the girl's drowsy state and gently stroked her golden hair as he spoke.
After all, tonight had already consumed a great deal of her energy — the fact that she hadn't passed out had already surprised Fulade quite a bit.
"Mm."
Malisika gave a gentle nod.
Hearing Fulade's soft whisper beside her ear, she felt not the slightest resistance in her heart, only obedient compliance.
But before falling asleep, Malisika gave a mischievous little smile and looked at Fulade, saying, "Master, actually, when I caused trouble for you before — I did it on purpose."
Fulade's expression froze: "Then why didn't you say so earlier?"
Malisika mumbled softly, her eyes opening and closing: "I was going to, but then you gagged me."
"Pfft—hahaha, this is killing me!" Hearing those words, Ailina couldn't hold back and burst out laughing.
Watching the girl fall into deep sleep, Fulade couldn't help but shake his head with a bitter smile.
He recalled the scene at the banquet when the girl had run up to him to stand up for her friend.
Unreasonable and overbearing, just like a prickly little wildcat, talking back to him so much it made his teeth itch with anger!
Who would have thought she was actually using this method to attract attention — but this method, Fulade shook his head again, was pure troublemaking.
Fulade did not stay long in Istanbul — in less than a week, he had already set out on the journey to his homeland, Wallachia.
At this moment Fulade was studying the Mysterious Blood Light Ball that had been activated just two days ago.
That's right — after gathering the blood of three beautiful Vampire Brides, Fulade had finally received his Golden Finger.
Only, this was... it seemed like having it was the same as not having it. Fulade sat in the carriage scratching his head, puzzling over the ball of light in his mind.
He saw only a single line of information on it: absorb the blood of women who bear destiny's fortune.
And then there was nothing more!
Nothing more!
Fulade stared at the blood-colored sphere with lines of frustration all over his face; no matter what method he used to call out to it, the orb of light never showed any response at all—a thoroughly featureless product! Damn it, isn't this just bullying an honest man!
"Master, what is the matter? Ever since you left Istanbul, you've been wearing a troubled frown," Malisika murmured softly.
"Mm, maybe… it's constipation. I've been like that before too," Ailina replied in a low voice.
"Pfft~"
Malisika fought hard to hold back her laughter, first casting a careful glance at the great Lord Fulade, then giggling as she said to Ailina beside her, "You're asking for it! Careful or you'll get disciplined by the family rules."
"Pah, stop going on about family rules all day. Haven't you had enough of it these past few days? Careful you don't drown yourself!"
"And one more thing, I'm warning you again: next time, don't drag me down with you! Otherwise I won't be polite."
Ailina glared, her face stern as she warned the girl beside her who was not much younger than herself.
She never in a million years expected that the bright pearl who drew attention from the entire noble class—Malisika—would actually enjoy this kind of banter.
Begging for tickets, begging for follows!
