Chapter 105: Blood-Colored Wall
"Quick! Have those Centurions take their subordinates to where the cannons are firing!"
Oulong shouted to an Orc scout.
Immediately after, he led his own subordinates and advanced in the direction of the cannon fire.
Soon, Oulong encountered the interception of those masked Two-legged Sheep.
Ahead, over a dozen Krieg soldiers appeared, raised the Lucius Pattern 98 Lasguns in their hands, and opened fire rapidly.
Beams of laser fire shot toward the group of Orcs; after Oulong blocked a beam with the Rune Bulletproof Armor on his body, he raised the large shotgun in his hand and shattered half the body of a Krieg soldier with one shot.
However, some of the Orcs around Oulong were not wearing Rune Bulletproof Armor and were killed instantly by the gunfire.
Following that, several Hand Grenades were thrown at the Orcs, and Oulong shouted loudly.
"Find cover!" Immediately after, he quickly hid behind a piece of cover and opened fire at those Krieg soldiers.
"Boom! Boom!"
The Hand Grenades blew over a dozen Orcs into pieces, and the splattering blood splashed onto the corner of Oulong's mouth, making his lips tremble with rage.
"Do these Two-legged Sheep think they can stop us with just a dozen of them? Too naive!"
Just then, the Orcs in the rear took weapons resembling the Ironfist Rocket Launcher and aimed them at the firing Krieg soldiers. With a "Whoosh!", the rocket flew rapidly toward the Krieg soldiers.
"Boom!"
Fortunately, the dozen or so Krieg soldiers were relatively dispersed, and only two Krieg soldiers were hit.
"All of you, charge! Tear these ignorant Two-legged Sheep to shreds for me! Let them know the might of our Beast Race!"
Upon hearing their leader's shout, the group of Orcs could only roar and launch a charge at these dozen Two-legged Sheep.
Oulong, meanwhile, took his personal guards to flank them, circling to the side of these masked Two-legged Sheep, and raised the shotgun in his hand to kill one Two-legged Sheep with a single shot.
When the Krieg soldiers saw Orcs flanking them, they raised their guns and opened fire toward Oulong's side, killing an Orc beside Oulong.
But after firing one shot, the Lucius Pattern 98 Lasgun in their hands was empty. Seeing this, the Krieg soldier did not hesitate to take out the Entrenching Tool from their waist and hacked toward Oulong.
The two personal guards beside Oulong saw this and also grinned as they raised their Rune Battle Axes to hack at this Krieg soldier.
But Oulong did not give this Krieg soldier a chance to get close; he pushed aside the guard who had walked up to his side, and the shotgun in his hand fired again, knocking the Krieg soldier flying.
These dozen or so Krieg soldiers were eventually overwhelmed by the Orcs, but Oulong did not feel happy at all.
To eliminate these dozen Two-legged Sheep, he had lost nearly 80 Beast Race warriors. Were these Two-legged Sheep not afraid even when they saw so many Orcs?
This situation seemed to have only been encountered before on the front line of the Fourth Defense Zone; at that time, he had surrounded a unit of Two-legged Sheep, and those Two-legged Sheep had also resisted to the death, but in the end, they were all slaughtered by him and his Beast Race warriors!
But when those Two-legged Sheep faced their dense charge of Beast Race warriors, they would also let out angry roars to dispel the fear in their hearts, a trace of fear would flash in their eyes, and their attacks would be somewhat panicked.
Yet, these masked Two-legged Sheep, although they did not have the strange abilities of those other Two-legged Sheep, showed not a hint of hesitation in their attacks, nor did they roar; they met their own deaths in Silence.
This made Oulong feel very uncomfortable; these Two-legged Sheep seemed not to fear death. But how could a sentient being not fear death? How was this possible?
"These damn Two-legged Sheep, move! Continue forward!"
Oulong led his subordinates to continue forward.
Fourth Defense Zone Inner City Wall.
The towering Giant Wall had already been dyed red with fresh blood, fully revealing the brutality of the battlefield. The Human Alliance soldiers were fiercely fighting the Orcs who had rushed up for every inch of land on the wall; they built an indestructible line of defense with their flesh and blood, stubbornly resisting the Orcs' offensive.
However, the number of Orcs was vast, and they surged onto the wall in an endless stream, putting immense pressure on the Human Alliance soldiers.
In this siege battle, lives were passing away as rapidly as flowing water. Soldiers fell every moment, but there were always new soldiers to fill the gaps in the rear.
They wanted to prove themselves, to prove that they were not as useless as the soldiers on the front line, and to prove that they too could fight the Orcs.
Previous rumors had been saying that they were not as strong as the front-line soldiers, and that they were only in the Inner City because they were afraid of death.
"Brothers! Today, let those guys who say we aren't good enough take a look! We have backbone too! And we can take down these damn Orcs!"
"That's right! Hahaha, let's see who dares to call us cowards now! I've fought on the front lines before, at least! Why should they say I'm a coward!"
Several Human Alliance soldiers roared, venting their anger at the Orc soldiers who had climbed onto the wall, but their roars did not kill those Orcs; only the Orcs at the very front fell to the ground. After the magazines of the weapons in their hands were empty, several Orcs took the Battle Axes in their hands and hacked at them.
Short blades appeared in the hands of two soldiers, and Spiritual Power Fluctuation radiated from the weapons. They skillfully dodged the Orcs' attacks and stabbed their blades into the Orcs' abdomens. Immediately after, accompanied by Spiritual Power Fluctuation, the stabbed Orcs fell to the ground in pain, vomiting blood, and after struggling a few times, they stopped moving.
Before these two soldiers could even catch their breath, dense gunfire came from behind them. The armor on their bodies blocked some bullets, but the Orcs' bullets were significantly larger than the ones on their side, knocking them both to the ground.
The eyes of the soldier who had just been fighting side-by-side with them flashed with a red light. The Orcs not far away stopped their movements after seeing his eyes and stood blankly on the spot.
But this situation did not last long; the soldier's eyes began to bleed, and the strength to control the Orcs was not as intense as it had been just a moment ago; some Orcs had already broken free from the restraint.
The two soldiers who had been knocked to the ground by the Orcs' firearms climbed back up. Seeing the time their teammate had bought for them, they closed in again, using all their strength to slaughter every Orc.
In the end, the three of them were still overwhelmed by the Orcs who rushed up afterward, becoming a part of the blood-stained wall.
But the massive explosion that suddenly erupted behind the Orcs, along with the sky-high flames and thick smoke, gave the Human Alliance soldiers on the wall a jolt.
Xindi also saw this scene. His throat was already hoarse from shouting, but at this moment, he shouted excitedly, "Someone behind the Orcs has destroyed their weapon depot! Let's hold on; these Orcs won't last much longer!"
The morale of the soldiers on the wall soared, and for a moment, it even seemed as if they might drive the Orcs off.
The Orcs, seeing such a large fire erupting in their rear, were all somewhat puzzled.
What was going on? How could their rear be on fire?
"Forget about the rear! Kill all the Two-legged Sheep in front of you! Use their blood to witness our glory!"
Cidu saw the morale of the Human Alliance soldiers soar and his own subordinates standing there in a daze. He waved the flag in his hand and shouted loudly.
The flag also radiated a blood-red light, pulling the thoughts of these Beast Race soldiers back to the battlefield, and they once again engaged in slaughter with these Human Alliance soldiers on the wall.
