Chapter 109: Faith in the Emperor
"I will explain the meaning of this to you all..." Yingzhou smiled and said to the five Xiunu in a calm tone.
After Han Li walked out of the small room, he happened to run into several muscular Catachan Warriors walking over.
The Catachan Warrior wearing a hat lowered his voice and said, "This is none of your business now; you can leave first. We are enough here."
Han Li looked at these muscular Catachan Warriors and nodded, "Then I will send someone to bring the blanket to you in a moment."
After seeing the Catachan Warrior wearing a hat nod in agreement, Han Li turned and left.
Soon, the survivors in the gathering place all knew that the Emperor mentioned by those muscular Catachan Warriors had also come here, and they realized that the tall and strong man was the Emperor those muscular Catachan Warriors spoke of.
"As expected, the man who can make these warriors so loyal is truly extraordinary!"
"Is he the one who sent those warriors to save us!"
The survivors in the crowd were discussing it, all talking about the Emperor to whom those muscular Catachan Warriors were loyal.
After seeing Han Li, Xia Dijing asked, "How is it? What kind of person is he?"
Han Li shook his head and said, "I'm not sure, but he does care a lot about these survivors in the Outer City. However, he gives me a strange feeling, especially since he said some strange things to me."
"What did he say?"
Han Li recalled, "He asked me if I had another name, called... Lifeiyu?"
"Lifeiyu?" Xia Dijing looked at Han Li in confusion, thinking for a long time but unable to figure out what this name meant.
The two thought for a long time without knowing, so Han Li shook his head, gave up on guessing here, and spoke.
"In any case, his strength must be very high; otherwise, those Catachan Warriors would not be so loyal to him."
Han Li found a blanket that looked relatively clean, folded it, and said to Xia Dijing.
"Why don't you go and deliver the blanket to him?"
Xia Dijing took the blanket from Han Li, "Alright! I'll go take a look."
When Xia Dijing arrived in front of the small room where Yingzhou was, several muscular Catachan Warriors reached out to stop him.
"What do you want to do?"
Xia Dijing pointed with his left hand at the blanket draped over his right arm and said in a friendly manner.
"I'm delivering a blanket; Han Li should have told you."
The Catachan Warrior wearing a hat reached out to take the blanket and said with a serious expression, "Alright, you can leave now."
Just as Xia Dijing was about to leave, a calm voice came from the room.
"Let him in!"
Xia Dijing was sandwiched between two muscular Catachan Warriors and brought into the small room, where he saw five female soldiers who looked like medics kneeling on the ground in front of Yingzhou.
"It just so happens that I noticed you seem to be lacking medical personnel here, and I happen to have five Xiunu here. I want them to help the survivors outside treat some injuries and illnesses," Yingzhou said to Xia Dijing with a smile.
Xia Dijing looked at the five Xiunu kneeling on the ground, seemingly guessing Yingzhou's ability, and nodded in agreement.
"That would be perfect. We have many civilians here who are injured, but our medical personnel must prioritize treating injured members of the Guerrilla. It is great that you are willing to help."
"Then I will have them go out to treat those survivors in a moment."
After explaining the situation to Xia Dijing, Yingzhou asked Xia Dijing to leave. Then, looking at the Xiunu kneeling before him, he said in a calm tone.
"Did you remember what I just told you?"
The five Xiunu answered in unison, "We have remembered, please rest assured!"
Soon, Yingzhou had the five Xiunu go out to treat the survivors in the gathering place, while he spread the blanket on the ground, sat cross-legged on it, and began to recover his Spiritual Power.
Inside the gathering place, the survivors soon discovered several special figures. They appeared out of place among the surrounding survivors, moving through the crowd and, according to what Yingzhou said before leaving, prioritizing the treatment of the children's injuries and illnesses before saving other survivors.
"Big sister, where did you come from?" a little girl asked curiously, looking at the Xiunu who was feeding her medicine.
"Summoned by the Emperor to come and save you." The Xiunu answered gently, but she soon remembered what the Emperor had told her and the others earlier, and said slowly to the little girl in front of her, "If you have Faith in the Emperor, the pain in your body will decrease, and Faith will turn into the most solid armor to protect yourself. The Emperor is merciful; he views everyone as equal. The Emperor places special value on workers and farmers. The Emperor's ideal is to build an equal, just, free... and loyal Imperium."
The Xiunu's words were not only for the little girl to hear; the surrounding survivors also heard these words. Following this, the Xiunu treated the survivors' injuries while telling them more about the Emperor's regard for Humans.
At this moment, Yingzhou did not know that although he had tried his best to instill his past-life thoughts into these Xiunu, it seemed that these Xiunu had misinterpreted what he said and were telling those distorted thoughts to the survivors in the gathering place.
After hearing what these Xiunu said, the survivors in the gathering place were full of anticipation for the ideals of that tall and strong man. They also wanted to be like those warriors who had Awakened Back Spirit, going to the battlefield to slaughter those Alien Races and avenge their dead relatives.
They could produce supplies, weapons, and equipment for the front lines in factories for the sake of Humanity, but they did not want those produced supplies, weapons, and equipment to flow into the hands of the parasites in the Inner City. According to what those Xiunu said, those noble lords in the Inner City did not care about their lives at all, only thinking about sucking the last drop of blood from them, these poor people, and then throwing them into the sewers like trash.
If it weren't for those noble lords in the Inner City putting most of the supplies and weapons and equipment into their own pockets, they might not have encountered this disaster.
If it weren't for that Emperor sending those muscular Catachan Warriors to save them, they might have already become food for the Orcs, thrown into a frying pan by the Orcs.
No one had ever cared about them, those who had not Awakened Back Spirit, nor did anyone care about their lives, as if their lives were not even worth a speck of dust in the eyes of those noble lords.
"Have Faith in the Emperor; the Emperor will not treat any of you differently, and will not let you live in this dark environment without dignity. Even if you did not have Faith in the Emperor before, the Emperor will still mercifully save you; this is the Emperor. One day, the Emperor will lead Humanity to completely annihilate those Alien Races!"
