Chapter 1144: Feng Qi Xing Alliance Sends Communication to Daikong Star Alliance Again

~6 min read 1,009 words

After the Adjutant left, Guilliman stood alone before the star map and muttered to himself.

"The most brilliant strategy is to let the enemy walk toward failure on their own."

The Fengqi are walking into a trap now, while they believe they are walking toward victory.

This is a multi-layered game of information, psychology, and tactics.

But there was still a trace of doubt in Guilliman's heart.

The plan is perfect, theoretically flawless.

But war is never a theoretical game.

Variables always exist: an officer's split-second decision, an unexpected event, a misjudgment of intelligence...

"We will meet on the battlefield," Guilliman said softly. "When that time comes, we will know who the true Super Soldier is."

Guilliman closed the star map and walked toward the Bridge.

Outside the window, the Star Alliance fleet was reforming, preparing to welcome the coming storm.

And in the detention area deep within the ship's hull, Kalaier sat in the cell, his Third Eye tightly shut, trying to sense the movement outside.

He felt that the vibration pattern of the ship's engines had changed, and the frequency of personnel movements had increased.

"It's starting."

Kalaier muttered to himself.

Liana, in the next cell, asked in a low voice through the ventilation duct on the wall.

"What is starting, Commander?"

"War."

Kalaier replied.

"A real, large-scale war. I can feel it; this ship is preparing for battle."

After a moment of silence, Liana's voice came again, trembling.

"Are we going to die here?"

Kalaier did not answer immediately. He remembered Guilliman's words.

"A living diplomat is far more useful than a dead martyr."

"I don't know."

Kalaier finally said.

"But as long as we still have value, they will keep us alive. So... try to maintain your value."

Outside the cell, the guards were Ultramarines.

Kalaier had seen them fight up close; that was not fighting, it was a massacre.

If there were a thousand, ten thousand such warriors...

Kalaier did not want to think any further.

The growth rate of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance was ridiculously fast.

Daikong Star Alliance Capital Star "Olivia", Supreme Diplomatic Committee emergency conference hall.

Ten minutes remained until the Feng Qi Xing Alliance's emergency contact request connected, and the circular Conference Hall was already full of people.

Commissioner Kewake sat in the main seat, his hands folded on the smooth metal tabletop.

Three glowing crystals on his forehead were arranged in a triangle, flickering slightly.

"The formal request from the Feng Qi Xing Alliance has been decrypted."

Deputy Commissioner Yilina pulled up the file.

"They request 'highest-level emergency consultations' regarding the current 'regional security crisis', 'based on historical alliances and common interests'. The wording... is quite desperate."

"The desperate ones are often the losers."

Military Representative Serafen commented coldly.

Trade Representative Vitas shook his head.

"Do not jump to conclusions so early, General."

"Although the Feng Qi Xing Alliance has suffered setbacks recently, it is still a massive civilization possessing millions of stars."

"Their industrial base, population scale, total fleet size..."

"The total fleet size lost over three hundred ships in the Ningjing Huilang."

Minister of Intelligence Zuola interrupted, pulling up the latest battle report.

"The 'Oathkeeper' fleet was completely annihilated, Admiral Olaf was killed in action, Colonel Sele'en was killed in action, and three Border Defense Fleets were heavily damaged. More importantly... their morale is collapsing."

On the holographic star map, the edge of the region representing the Feng Qi Xing Alliance showed a clear contraction.

Three star sectors marked as "fallen" were visible, while more areas were marked as "unstable" or "resisting".

Doctor Tailanisi's tentacles swayed uneasily.

"The technical analysis reports we received show that the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance's individual combat capability is beyond imagination."

"The Power Armor of those 'Space Marines' has a defensive rating equivalent to our main battle tanks, yet their mobility approaches that of light mechs. This has completely changed the rules of ground warfare."

"So the Fengqi want to drag us into the water."

General Serafen summarized.

"Using an outdated alliance as an excuse to make us go and block bullets for them."

Commissioner Kewake finally spoke, his voice calm but carrying unquestionable authority.

"The historical alliance does indeed exist. Thirty-two years ago, the Daikong Star Alliance and the Feng Qi Xing Alliance signed the 'Mutual Protection Agreement', agreeing that in the event of an 'unforeseen major external threat', both sides should consult and 'consider taking coordinated action'."

"Consider."

Vitas seized on the keyword.

"It is not 'must', it is 'consider'. Furthermore, the agreement explicitly excludes 'conflicts triggered by the active provocation of a signatory party'. Who is considered to have provoked the Quiet Corridor Incident? It was the Fengqi Military that launched a coup first, attempting to hijack the diplomatic missions of both sides."

Deputy Commissioner Yilina nodded.

"From a legal perspective, we have sufficient grounds for avoidance. But politics is never just about the law..."

Her words were interrupted by a communication alert tone.

A communication request from the Feng Qi Xing Alliance had been received, awaiting authorization.

Kewake exchanged a glance with the other commissioners, then nodded.

"Connect it. But only enable audio; do not open the visual feed yet."

"Understood."

The communication was connected.

A weary voice came through.

"This is General Valken, Special Envoy of the Feng Qi Xing Alliance Supreme Council. I extend greetings to the Daikong Star Alliance Supreme Diplomatic Committee."

Kewake responded.

"This is Kewake, Diplomatic Commissioner of the Daikong Star Alliance. We have received your urgent contact request, General Valken. May I ask what urgent matter requires such a consultation?"

A brief Silence; one could imagine the person on the other end of the communication organizing their words.

"Mr. Commissioner, esteemed commissioners."

Valken's voice came through the speaker.

"I believe your side is already aware of the regional incident that recently occurred in the Ningjing Huilang.

An emerging force calling itself the 'Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance' launched a surprise attack during the negotiations, detained our diplomatic mission, destroyed our Frigate fleet, and continues to launch an invasion toward the Fengqi Core."
