Chapter 1338: They Really Picked a Good Time to Join

Xiuluo Holy Star, Primarch Residential Area, Yingzhou's study.

Yingzhou sat before the desk, facing the red ocean on the holographic star map that marked the Zerg's area of activity.

From the Eruida xingqu of the Ash Star Alliance to the Viridian Sector of the Canaan Star Alliance, the red was spreading in all directions, unstoppable.

The battle report sent back by Horus had just arrived, and the text on the holographic screen flowed rapidly before his eyes.

Space battle victory, Zerg bio-ship repelled, ground Zerg wiped out, Eridanus III held.

But one line of text made Yingzhou's brows knit slightly; the number of Zerg bio-ships in the space battle was far lower than expected, and no Insect Hive mother ship was discovered.

It was speculated that the main force of the Zerg was still within the borders of the Canaan Star Alliance.

Yingzhou's fingers tapped lightly on the desktop.

The main force of the Tyranid was still in the Canaan Star Alliance.

The battle at Eridanus was merely a vanguard, a probe, a depletion.

The true great army was still rampaging within the borders of the Canaan Star Alliance.

"Selina," Yingzhou spoke.

A holographic projection appeared in the corner of the room.

"His Majesty, I am here."

"Notify Luojia, have him come over."

"Yes."

Selina's holographic projection dissipated.

Soon, the door was knocked on lightly.

"Enter."

Luojia walked in, wearing the ceremonial robes of the Word Bearers Legion, holding that string of psionic crystal rosary in his hand.

"Father, you summoned me?"

Yingzhou turned around and walked back to the desk.

"Horus's battle report, have you read it?"

Luojia nodded.

"I have, space battle victory, but the Zerg main force is not there."

Yingzhou sat down, crossing his hands on the table.

"The Tyranid have devoured at least five sectors within the Canaan Star Alliance; the Canaanite fleet cannot stop them at all. Horus and the others went, but relying only on a few legions, I feel it is not enough."

Luojia asked.

"Father, you intend to send reinforcements."

Yingzhou nodded.

"What news is there from the Canaan Star Alliance?"

Luojia brought up a holographic data pad.

"Father, the Canaan Star Alliance currently has five sectors completely fallen: Viridian Sector, Elius Sector, Suolan Xingqu, Kalini Sector, and Octavia Sector, with total population losses exceeding 30 billion. Their fleet losses exceed 70 percent, and their ground troops are in even greater disarray."

Yingzhou's brows furrowed even tighter.

"Five sectors, 30 billion."

Luojia continued.

"Upon learning that the Zerg in the Ash Star Alliance were repelled by us, the Canaan Star Alliance sent us a formal request for aid. Their Speaker, Viridius, stated that they are willing to accept all conditions of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance, and are even willing to let the Canaan Star Alliance join the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance."

The corners of Yingzhou's mouth lifted slightly.

"Join, they certainly know how to pick their timing."

Luojia asked.

"Father, do we accept?"

Yingzhou thought for a moment.

"Accept, but not now. First, beat back the Tyranid. After the war, we will discuss terms."

He stood up and walked to the window.

"Luojia, assemble several Astra Militarum units. The Cadian Shock Troops, the Death Korps of Krieg."

Luojia recorded quickly.

"Three regiments of Cadian Shock Troops, three regiments of Death Korps of Krieg. Total strength approximately 1.53 million."

Yingzhou nodded.

"Also, have Mortarion come to see me."

Luojia was slightly stunned.

"Brother Mortarion, he hasn't participated in any large-scale campaigns since he was injured last time."

Yingzhou looked at him.

"Correct, the Dusk Raiders Legion hasn't been deployed on a large scale for a long time. Precisely because they haven't been deployed in a long time, it is time to let them move. The tactical style of the Dusk Raiders is suited for fighting this kind of war."

Luojia nodded.

"Understood, Father."

Yingzhou continued.

"Also, have Nuochaqigan come to see me. The Adeptus Custodes need someone to follow."

Luojia recorded quickly.

"Understood."

"Tell Mortarion, the Zerg have only one word... Devour."

Luojia nodded.

"Yes, Father."

He turned and left.

The base of the Dusk Raiders Legion was located in a mountain forest in the south of the Xiuluo Holy Star.

The third underground level was the Command Center.

At this moment, Mortarion stood before the Holographic Star Map, looking at the sea of red marking the area of Zerg activity.

"Father, a communication from Lord Luojia."

Mortarion nodded.

"Put it through."

The holographic projection lit up, and Luojia's figure appeared in the center of the room.

"Mortarion, Father summons you."

Mortarion's expression did not change at all.

"What is it?"

Luojia said.

"The Tyranid crisis; the Canaan Star Alliance needs reinforcements, and Father wants you to take the Dusk Raiders Legion there."

"Understood."

Luojia said.

"Depart as soon as possible. Astra Militarum troops will follow you, and an Adeptus Custodes, Nuochaqigan, will also accompany you."

Mortarion asked.

"Nuochaqigan, an Adeptus Custodes?"

Luojia nodded.

"Correct, Father sent him to follow you all."

Mortarion nodded in response.

"Understood."

The holographic projection dissipated.

Mortarion turned to face his Adjutant.

"Notify all companies to assemble within twenty-four hours. Target: Canaan Star Alliance."

The Adjutant stood at attention and saluted.

"Yes, my lord."

Xiuluo Holy Star, Adeptus Custodes garrison.

Nuochaqigan stood on the training ground, holding a Guardian Spear in his hand.

His golden Power Armor shone brightly in the sunlight, and there was no emotion in his eyes.

A Xiuluo Holy Star soldier walked over respectfully.

"My lord, a communication from Lord Luojia."

Nuochaqigan nodded.

"Put it through."

The holographic projection lit up, and Luojia's figure appeared above the training ground.

"Nuochaqigan, Father wants you to follow Mortarion's Dusk Raiders Legion to the Canaan Star Alliance."

Nuochaqigan asked.

"What is the Task?"

Luojia said.

"Go to the battlefield as an Adeptus Custodes to boost morale. If necessary, report directly to Father."

Nuochaqigan nodded.

"Understood."

Luojia continued.

"Astra Militarum troops will also follow you, three regiments each of the Cadian Shock Troops and the Death Korps of Krieg. Your task is to coordinate their cooperation with the Dusk Raiders."

Nuochaqigan said.

"Understood."
