Chapter 1367: The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance Loves Peace
The corners of Yingzhou's mouth lifted slightly.
"Selina," he spoke.
A holographic projection appeared in the corner of the room.
"His Majesty, I am here."
"Those powers..." Yingzhou paused, "Sa-something, was it?"
Selina's data stream flickered rapidly.
"His Majesty, are you referring to the Sargon Free Territory, the Zelar Commercial Alliance, the Viridian United Kingdom, the Octavia Duchy, the Solan Federation? And thirty-two other Alien regimes with dangerous tendencies."
"Right. What have they been doing lately?"
Selina pulled up a report.
"The Sargon Free Territory has issued three hostile statements against the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance in the past week, claiming that 'the Xiuluo Saint should not monopolize the future of the Bode Star System'."
The Zelar Commercial Alliance has made secret contact with the Luoke Imperium, attempting to establish trade routes.
The Viridian United Kingdom has been discovered secretly researching the mirror rift technology left behind by the Feng Qi Xing Alliance; although they have not initiated experiments, the data has already been downloaded to their central database.
The Octavia Duchy is expanding its military and has built three new fleets. The Solan Federation..."
Yingzhou raised a hand.
"Enough."
Selina stopped the report.
Yingzhou walked back to his desk and sat down.
For the larger powers, one must explain the stakes and convince them with reason, but for the small powers... the small powers will be judged by their performance.
The next day, Xiuluo Holy Star, Word Bearers Temple.
Luojia knelt before the Xiuluo Holy honor emblem, hands folded over his chest, Psionic Crystal Rosary resting on his knees.
Candlelight danced on the walls, casting his shadow onto the emblem of crossed tools.
He had been kneeling here for a full two hours.
At this moment, Selina's voice appeared behind him.
"Lord Luojia, His Majesty summons you."
Luojia opened his eyes and slowly stood up.
The Rosary turned once in his hand, then hung at his waist.
"Did Father say what it was about?"
"No, only to have you come over immediately."
Luojia nodded and stepped toward the Emperor's study.
Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the corridor, the sky of Xiuluo Holy Star was turning from azure to twilight.
The orange-red sunset glow spilled into the garden, and those flowers carefully cultivated by the grandmother appeared exceptionally delicate in the setting sun.
But Luojia was in no mood to admire the scenery.
Father would not summon him at night for no reason.
The cleanup work for the Zerg war had not yet fully concluded; Horus and Sanguinius were still mopping up remnants in the Viridian Sector, Mortarion and Vulkan were dealing with the post-war ruins on Chengjia Star, and Lion's Dark Angels fleet was on its way back to Xiuluo Holy Star.
Summoning him at this time must mean something important.
The door to the Emperor's study was ajar; Luojia knocked lightly and pushed the door open to enter.
Yingzhou sat at his desk, in front of him was the part of the Holographic Star Map marked as the Bode Star System where they were located.
"Father."
Luojia bowed slightly.
Yingzhou looked up and gestured for him to sit opposite.
"Luojia, news of the Zerg war has already spread."
Luojia nodded.
"Yes, Father. The battle report sent back by Horus has already been circulated among the legions, and the Canaan Star Alliance and the Ash Star Alliance should have received the news as well."
Yingzhou leaned back in his chair.
"They received it, but all they know is that 'the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance defeated the Zerg.' They don't know where the Zerg came from, they don't know what the mirror rifts are, and they don't know the danger of those Forbidden Technologies. They only know that we are strong."
"Father, what do you mean?"
Yingzhou looked at him.
"Luojia, the calm of the Bode Star System is just an illusion. The scientists of the Canaan Star Alliance opened a rift, and the Zerg poured out. If we hadn't intervened, the entire Bode Star System would be a Zerg Nest by now, but the other powers don't know this.
They don't know the terror of the rifts, they don't know the price of Forbidden Technology. They only see that we took advantage of the Canaan Star Alliance.
They will only rack their brains to study those Forbidden Technologies, thinking it is a shortcut to catch up to us."
Luojia's expression turned grave.
"Father, are you saying there will be another Canaan Star Alliance?"
Yingzhou nodded.
"Not possible, but certain. There will always be fools who think they are smarter than others, who think they can control the rifts.
Valken of the Feng Qi Xing Alliance thought so, and Dian of the Canaan Star Alliance thought so too. They were both killed by their own stupidity, but their stupidity didn't just kill themselves."
He stood up and walked to the window.
"Luojia, I need you to go and tell the Bode Star System, and the powers near us, what the rifts are, what the Zerg are, and what the price of Forbidden Technology is."
Luojia stood up.
"Father, what should I say?"
Yingzhou turned to look at him.
"Tell the truth. The rift was opened by scientists of the Canaan Star Alliance, the Zerg poured in from the other side of the rift, and the Bode Star System was nearly devoured. We closed the rift and repelled the Zerg. We paid a painful price. The Canaan Star Alliance lost hundreds of billions of people; let them know the facts."
Yingzhou looked at him and paused for a moment.
"Then tell them that the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance loves peace. We will not take the initiative to attack other factions.
However, if any faction dares to touch Forbidden Technology again, dares to open a rift again, or dares to do anything that endangers the security of the Bode Star System, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance will be the first to refuse."
"In short, the meaning is that the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance loves peace, but the prerequisite is that other factions must follow the rules."
Luojia nodded.
"Father, do you think other factions will believe the statement that 'the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance loves peace'? The scale of our fleet, the number of Astra Militarum, and the number of Space Marine legions are all laid out on the table for them to see.
Our garrison is still stationed on the border of the Ash Star Alliance, and the Luoke Imperium has lost face because of it. As for how many planets the Canaan Star Alliance had destroyed, although we are not directly responsible, I am afraid they will not feel comfortable about it either.
The Daikong Star Alliance stares at our fleet numbers every day, and the Luoke Imperium, although in Silence, has not been idle either. Not to mention those other factions. You want me to say 'the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance loves peace'?"
Yingzhou looked at Luojia, his gaze calm.
"Luojia, do you think those Aliens believe it?"
Luojia shook his head.
"They won't believe it."
The corners of Yingzhou's mouth lifted slightly.
"They only need to know that we said this sentence, and that is enough. Whether they believe it or not is their business; we just need to put the message out."
Luojia nodded.
"Father, I will go prepare now."
"Go. The news must be fast and the coverage must be wide; let the factions around us know, and add one sentence to the statement.
The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is willing to work with all peace-loving factions to maintain the stability of the Bode Star System."
Luojia nodded.
"Understood."
It was already late at night when Luojia returned to the Word Bearers Temple.
He sat at his desk, a blank Holographic Data Pad spread out before him.
This was not an ordinary speech.
Father wanted him to announce the truth to the entire Bode Star System, while simultaneously declaring that the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance "loves peace."
He wrote the first line on the Data Pad.
"Leaders of all factions in the Bode Star System, representatives of all civilizations, all intelligent life..."
He paused, deleted "all intelligent life," and changed it to "all citizens concerned about the future of the Bode Star System."
"We, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance, hereby inform the entire Bode Star System of a major event concerning the survival of all civilizations. The mirror rift experiment in the Viridian Sector of the Canaan Star Alliance triggered a catastrophe capable of destroying the entire Bode Star System.
The Tyranid, a terrifying species whose survival purpose is to devour all life, poured into the Bode Star System through the rift, devouring five sectors in just a few months, destroying over a hundred billion intelligent lives, and turning dozens of planets into barren dead zones."
He wrote down those numbers.
Behind every number was a real, existing destruction.
"Under the command of the Emperor, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance fought the Zerg with all its might. We must admit the source of this catastrophe.
It was the scientists of the Canaan Star Alliance who opened the channel for the Zerg while studying the mirror rift. They touched technology that should not have been touched and released Demons that should not have been released.
We hereby solemnly warn all factions in the Bode Star System that mirror rift technology is forbidden, a bait for Demons, and a ticket to destruction. If any faction dares to research, develop, or attempt to open a mirror rift again, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance will regard it as a threat to the entire Bode Star System and will take all necessary means to eliminate it."
He continued to write.
"The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is a peace-loving faction; we are willing to coexist peacefully with all factions and jointly maintain the stability of the Bode Star System.
However, peace is not one-sided. The Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is willing to take responsibility for the safety of the Bode Star System and also requires all factions to abide by the rules together. Any behavior that attempts to undermine the stability of the Bode Star System will be met with a severe response."
He stared at the text and pressed the save button.
