Chapter 1404: How Should He Explain This to the Emperor?

~7 min read 1,322 words

The ships of the Daikong Star Alliance sailed steadily.

The starlight outside the portholes turned into countless thin lines.

In the banquet hall of the flagship, a dozen diplomats sat around a long table.

On the table were tea and snacks, all brought back from Xiuluo Holy Star.

Weilakesi sat in the main seat, holding a cup of tea in his hand.

His expression was relaxed, a hint of a smile at the corners of his mouth.

"Lord Weilakesi, the delicacies of Xiuluo Holy Star are indeed excellent. These snacks are much tastier than those from our Capital Star."

A young diplomat took a bite of a pastry and squinted in satisfaction.

Weilakesi set down his teacup.

"The rapid rise of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance does not rely solely on military power. Their agriculture, industry, technology, and culture are all developing rapidly. Our Daikong Star Alliance signing the Non-Aggression Treaty with the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance was the right choice."

Another diplomat said.

"The Emperor's sons are also outstanding; those Space Marine phalanxes at the military parade, every legion has its own unique heritage. Our military is far behind."

Weilakesi said.

"Do not belittle ourselves; the Daikong Star Alliance has its own advantages. Our diplomatic policy is flexible, and we maintain good relations with all parties; this is a victory for diplomacy."

Everyone nodded.

An older diplomat spoke up.

"Lord Weilakesi, do you think the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance can become the decision-maker of the Bode Star System?"

Weilakesi began to speak.

"The development speed of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is astonishing. The Emperor's ambition, the Primarchs' abilities, the cohesion of the people. In the future Bode Star System, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance will have absolute say."

Everyone fell into Silence.

A young diplomat stood up and walked to the wall.

He squatted down and looked at the door of a cabinet.

"Lord Weilakesi, the door of this cabinet is a bit crooked. It won't close tightly."

"It might be caused by the turbulence; go find someone to fix it."

The young diplomat nodded and walked toward the door.

This young diplomat walked to the entrance of the equipment room and pulled the door open.

There were three shadows in the darkness.

Before he could see clearly, a fist smashed into his face.

The force was great, and the speed was too fast to react.

His whole body flew backward, hit the wall of the corridor, slid to the ground, and fainted.

An alarm sounded.

Rapid footsteps came from the end of the corridor.

A team of security personnel rushed over, wearing dark blue uniforms; the leading Captain's expression changed when he saw the diplomat lying on the ground.

"Someone has infiltrated! Seal the corridor!"

Fulgrim walked out of the equipment room.

Leman Russ followed behind, the sleeves of his golden-brown leather jacket rolled up to his elbows.

Yingxin came out last, her hair tied into a ponytail.

The security Captain was stunned.

"Children? How can it be children?"

Fulgrim punched the Captain in the abdomen.

The Captain fell to the ground.

Other security personnel rushed up.

Leman Russ met them, grabbed the first person's wrist and twisted it, and the stun baton fell to the ground.

He kicked the opponent's knee, and the man knelt down.

Before the second person could raise his stun baton, Leman Russ had already punched him in the chest.

The third person rushed over, and Leman Russ turned sideways, grabbed his collar, and threw him to the ground.

Yingxin stood behind Fulgrim, standing on tiptoe to watch.

"Brother Leman fights well!"

At this moment, a security guard reached out toward Yingxin, and Yingxin pushed with both hands, sending the security guard flying straight out.

"Eh? Why are they so light? They aren't even as heavy as my brothers."

In less than a minute, the corridor was filled with security personnel lying on the ground.

The security squad of over a hundred people was all beaten down.

Footsteps came from the other end of the corridor.

More security personnel arrived.

They looked at their companions on the ground, then at the two youths, not daring to move rashly.

"Is there anyone else?"

Leman Russ said.

No one answered.

The crowd parted, and Weilakesi walked over.

His pace was steady, his expression serious, his gaze sweeping over the security personnel on the ground, then landing on Fulgrim and Leman Russ.

Pupils contracted.

He had seen these two youths before.

Fulgrim, a Primarch.

Leman Russ, also a Primarch.

That girl, the Emperor's niece, the younger sister of the Primarchs, Yingxin.

His mind went blank, and it took a good while before he regained his senses.

"Are you people from the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance?"

Fulgrim looked at him.

"We are people from the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance."

"How did you end up on my ship?"

"Uh, the situation is a bit complicated, but it's not important."

Weilakesi did not know what to say.

Three children from the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance, on his ship.

Two were Primarchs, one was the Emperor's niece.

How was he supposed to explain this to the Emperor? Say he didn't know? Would the Emperor believe him? Say he wasn't involved in the kidnapping? Would the Emperor believe him?

The three forces of the Sargon Free Territory were bound to perish; their crime was the kidnapping of the Young Primarchs.

Now, on his ship, there were two Young Primarchs and one niece of the Emperor.

This... who could explain this clearly?

Weilakesi took a step forward.

"We have no ill intent; the Daikong Star Alliance has signed a Non-Aggression Treaty with the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance, and we will not harm you."

Fulgrim looked at him.

"What a coincidence, we have no ill intent either, otherwise, they wouldn't just be lying on the ground. We just want to go home."

Weilakesi said.

"Return to the Xiuluo Holy Star? Our ship is currently heading toward the Daikong Star Alliance Capital Star; you can rest on the ship, and once we reach the Daikong Star Alliance, we will arrange for your return to the Xiuluo Holy Star."

Fulgrim thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.

"Fine."

Weilakesi let out a sigh of relief.

He turned around and looked at the Diplomats and security personnel who were still dazed.

"What are you still standing there for? Clean this up. Arrange the best rooms for the three guests. Prepare food and drinks; do not be negligent."

Everyone hurried to act.

Weilakesi turned back to Fulgrim.

"Please follow me, I will take you to see the rooms."

Fulgrim took Yingxin's hand and followed Weilakesi toward the depths of the corridor.

Leman Russ followed behind.

Weilakesi led the three to a suite on the upper deck of the ship.

The room was large, with an independent bedroom and bathroom, and starlight could be seen outside the window.

Weilakesi stood at the doorway.

"If you need anything, call me at any time."

Fulgrim said.

"Thank you."

"Hahaha, you are too polite; then, I won't disturb the three of you any further."

Weilakesi nodded and turned to leave.

The door closed.

Yingxin jumped onto the bed and bounced a few times.

"Brother Fulgrim, are we safe now?"

"We should be safe for the time being."

Leman Russ sat on the sofa, picked up an apple, and took a bite.

"They wouldn't dare touch us."

Yingxin lay down, hugging a pillow.

"Brother Fulgrim, it's so beautiful outside."

Fulgrim walked over and sat on the edge of the bed.

"We will be able to go back soon."

Yingxin said.

"Will Uncle be angry?"

"He probably will."

Yingxin said.

"Then you help me plead for mercy."

"I can barely save myself."

Leman Russ laughed.

"Me too, Father won't let us off."

Yingxin thought for a moment.

"Then I will say that I forced you all."

"Can you convince him?"

"Want to try?"
