Chapter 1411: Suppressing the Rebellion of the Daikong Star Alliance (1)

~7 min read 1,283 words

Seeing that Kailuosi Jin did not speak, Kewake continued.

"The Daikong Star Alliance can grant the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance permanent garrison rights, provide most-favored-nation status in trade, and remain aligned with the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance on matters concerning the Bode Star System; as long as you help me, any conditions can be negotiated."

Kailuosi Jin looked at him, revealing a faint smile.

"Commissioner Kewake, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance and the Daikong Star Alliance have signed a Non-Aggression Treaty. We are friends, not enemies; when a friend is in trouble, I cannot sit idly by."

He stood up and said righteously.

"I have decided to help you suppress the rebellion."

Kewake's eyes lit up, and he said excitedly.

"Lord Kailuosi Jin..."

Kailuosi Jin raised his hand to interrupt Kewake.

"But there are a few points I need to make clear in advance.

First, your military must coordinate with our operations; we cannot fight separately.

Second, you must fulfill your promises after the war.

Third, I will report this matter to my master; he may reprimand me for acting on my own initiative.

But for the sake of a friend, I am willing to take the risk."

Kewake's eyes grew moist, and he said excitedly.

"Lord Kailuosi Jin, thank you, thank you to the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance."

Kailuosi Jin smiled and waved his hand.

"No need to thank me. You rest here first; I will go make arrangements."

He turned and walked out of the Meeting Room.

Kewake sat back down in his chair and let out a long breath.

In the corridor, Kailuosi Jin walked toward the Bridge, speaking to the ship captain following behind him.

"As expected of my master's arrangement, this makes our intervention justified. The ships don't need to move; the rebellion will end very soon."

The captain nodded.

"Understood."

Kailuosi Jin walked into the Bridge.

"Notify all units to enter level-one combat readiness, and contact Colonel Akadi of the Cadian Shock Troops; tell him to come to the command room."

The Adjutant stood at attention.

"Yes."

Kailuosi Jin stood before the window, watching the firelight of Aolana outside, the corners of his mouth curling upward.

Kewake sat in the Meeting Room, covering his face with his hands, his shoulders trembling slightly.

A Guard walked over to ask.

"Commissioner, are you alright?"

Kewake raised his head.

"I'm fine. It's just that I didn't expect that the ones to save us in the end would be the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance."

The night sky of Aolana was illuminated by firelight.

Inside the camp of the Cadian Shock Troops, the soldiers were assembling.

Kailuosi Jin stood before the window of the command room; Akadi walked in and stood at attention.

"My Lord, five regiments of the Cadian Shock Troops are ready."

Kailuosi Jin turned around and gave the order.

"Leave one regiment to guard the camp. The other four regiments are to split up and suppress the rebellions in the various cities of Aolana."

Akadi pulled up the Holographic Map.

"My Lord, Aolana has twelve major cities and seven outer satellite cities. If four regiments are deployed separately, the forces may be insufficient."

Kailuosi Jin said.

"You are to assist the Daikong Star Alliance forces in driving the rebels out of the urban areas and compressing their space for activity."

Akadi nodded.

"Understood."

"Control the main urban area of the capital first; other cities can wait for later."

Akadi stood at attention.

"Yes."

After Akadi left, Kailuosi Jin pressed the encrypted Communication Device on the table.

The screen lit up, and the holographic projection of Aolana appeared.

"Lord Kailuosi Jin."

Aolana said.

Kailuosi Jin said.

"What is the codename of Serafen's Adjutant?"

Aolana said.

"Reporting to my Lord, D-11."

Kailuosi Jin said.

"Notify D-11 to assassinate Serafen, as quickly as possible."

Aolana nodded.

"Understood."

The communication cut off.

Aolana sat in her office, the sound of distant explosions drifting in from outside the window.

She pressed another communication key, the screen lit up, and the face of a Daikong Star Alliance officer appeared.

"D-11, Lord Kailuosi Jin orders you to assassinate Serafen, as quickly as possible."

D-11 nodded.

"Understood."

After hanging up the communication, D-11 stood up and walked toward Serafen's office.

North District, the Third Regiment entered the urban area.

Cadian soldiers formed into combat formation and advanced along the main road; the streets were empty, the windows of the buildings on both sides were tightly shut, and occasionally a curtain was pulled back a corner, revealing fearful eyes.

"There is a roadblock ahead."

The scout reported.

Akadi raised his binoculars.

The intersection was piled with sandbags and abandoned vehicles, with rebel soldiers behind them; there were not many, about a hundred Aliens or so.

"Mortar, two rounds."

Akadi ordered.

The mortar gunner calibrated the angle, the Rune Bullet flew out, and it exploded in front of and behind the roadblock.

Sandbags scattered, and the vehicles caught fire.

The rebel soldiers left behind a patch of corpses and began to retreat.

"First Company, advance."

Akadi said.

The Cadian soldiers moved forward, Laser Guns strafing to suppress the rebels' firepower; the rebels' combat experience was clearly inferior to the Cadian soldiers, and the resistance was weak.

They retreated to the next intersection and continued to set up defenses.

Akadi looked at the map and spoke.

"The rebels in the North District are very scattered; they dare not fight us head-on. Split into three routes and advance simultaneously; do not let them regroup."

The three companies separated and advanced along different streets into the depths of the North District.

East District, the Second Regiment encountered more intense resistance.

The rebels had deployed an armored regiment here.

Artillery fire exploded on the streets, building exterior walls peeled off, and glass shattered.

"Regimental Commander, there are armored vehicles ahead."

A Cadian scout reported.

This Cadian Regimental Commander looked at the map.

"Have the anti-armor squad go up and attack from the flank."

The anti-armor squad carried the Laser Cannon and went around through the side alley.

The rebels' armored vehicles were strafing at the intersection; two Laser Cannons fired simultaneously, and the Energy Beam struck the side of the armored vehicle.

The armored vehicle exploded, flames rose, and the rebel soldiers retreated in panic.

"Advance."

The Cadian Regimental Commander ordered.

The Cadian soldiers pressed forward, Laser Guns fired in unison, and the remaining rebels retreated into the buildings and began street fighting.

West District, the Third Regiment made the fastest progress; the rebels here saw the Cadian soldiers' formation, and many surrendered directly.

The Cadian soldiers confiscated their weapons and gathered them for custody.

A Daikong Star Alliance civilian poked their head out from a window, watched the Cadian soldiers pass by, and asked suspiciously.

"Are you people from the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance?"

The soldier nodded.

"Yes, we are here to help you suppress the rebellion."

The civilian was in Silence for a moment, then spoke.

"Serafen says you are invaders."

"We are not invaders; we are here to save you by the order of the Emperor. Now, go back and hide."

Hearing the Cadian soldier's reply, this Daikong civilian pulled their head back and closed the window.

South District, the Fourth Regiment encountered an ambush; the rebels were hiding in the buildings, shooting outward from the windows.

"Rocket, third-floor window."

A Cadian Company Commander ordered.

The rocket flew out and struck the third floor.

Bricks and stones shattered, and the rebels' shooting stopped.

The Cadian soldiers coordinated and rushed into the building, beginning to clear it floor by floor.

The rebellion that had previously plagued the Daikong Star Alliance was like children's play in front of the well-trained Cadian soldiers.
