Chapter 1454: Taking Two Princes to Admit Their Mistakes
Under Kesuosi's astonished gaze, the strategist's body began to change.
A few seconds later, standing before Kesuosi was another Kesuosi.
Kesuosi's body stiffened; he raised his hand and pointed at that "strategist."
"You... you all... you are not Keloke people..."
Kesi looked at him.
"Second Brother, you are right. We are not Keloke people. We are a better version of you."
He walked up to Kesuosi and looked down at him.
"The Keloke Imperium will soon belong to me. And your identity will continue to live on."
"I... I will expose you! I will tell Father Emperor! I will tell everyone! Damn the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance!"
Kesi shook his head.
"You have no chance left, and to dare insult the Emperor's realm is a crime deserving of death!"
"Kesuosi" reached out and pressed his hand onto Kesuosi's shoulder.
"Alien, only when you are dead can I sit securely in your position."
Kesuosi began to roar.
"Let me go! Someone! Come here, quickly!"
His voice echoed in the cabin, but no one answered.
Soon, Kesuosi stopped moving.
Seeing this, Kesi spoke up.
"Dispose of the body, then take over the fleet."
"Kesuosi" nodded.
"Kelake" walked to his side.
"Kesuosi has also been dealt with."
Kesi said.
"Notify the fleet to retreat."
"Understood."
Kesi turned and walked toward the door.
"I am taking you back to the Capital Star; Father Emperor is still waiting for me to report back."
Keloke Imperium Imperial City, Chaotang Dadian.
Keluoke Ershisi Shi sat on the throne atop the high platform; an attendant walked in quickly, knelt below the steps, his voice carrying a hint of urgency.
"Your Majesty, military report from the front lines."
Keluoke Ershisi Shi opened his eyes.
"Speak."
The attendant's voice echoed in the great hall.
"His Highness the First Prince's fleet has completely withdrawn from Capital Planet Orbit, and His Highness the Second Prince's fleet has also completely withdrawn. Both Highnesses are returning to the Imperial City with His Highness Kesi, expected to arrive in half a standard hour."
Low murmurs instantly erupted in the great hall.
An old official spoke first, his voice hoarse and filled with confusion.
"The First Prince retreated? The Second Prince also retreated? They didn't fight?"
The official beside him shook his head.
"Not only did they not fight, they even followed His Highness Kesi back; this is too bizarre. How could they possibly be willing to follow Kesi back?"
Another official lowered his voice.
"Could it be that His Highness Kesi promised them something? Like splitting power, or giving up a portion of benefits?"
"Promises? The First Prince and Second Prince brought a fleet of five hundred million to force the palace; a few promises wouldn't make them withdraw their troops.
Unless His Highness Kesi's promise made them feel it was worth more than the throne."
"Worth more than the throne? What could be worth more than the throne? Life. His Highness Kesi has something they want in his hands."
"Life? His Highness Kesi can threaten them? The First Prince and Second Prince have a fleet of five hundred million, His Highness Kesi only has a few thousand guards. It's not certain who is threatening whom."
"Then tell me, why did they withdraw their troops?"
"I don't know, but I always feel that things are not that simple."
The murmurs in the great hall grew louder and louder.
Some began to guess what methods Kesi had used, some began to analyze the psychological state of the First and Second Princes, and some began to calculate which side they should stand on later.
Keluoke Ershisi Shi raised his hand, and the great hall instantly fell silent.
"Everyone, what are you discussing?"
The officials lowered their heads; no one dared to answer.
Keluoke Ershisi Shi leaned back on the throne, his four eyes half-open and half-closed.
"My two sons brought fleets to force the palace. Now, they have withdrawn their troops and returned with Kesi; do you find it strange?"
An old official stepped forward.
"Your Majesty, we indeed find it suspicious. The conflict between the First Prince, the Second Prince, and His Highness Kesi is well known; they could not have been persuaded by a few words. I fear there may be a trap in this."
The corners of Keluoke Ershisi Shi's mouth lifted slightly.
"A trap?"
The old official hesitated and said.
"I dare not speculate recklessly, I just feel that things are too smooth, so smooth that it doesn't seem real."
Keluoke Ershisi Shi said.
"It doesn't seem real? Then do you want to see the fleets of Kelake and Kesuosi bombard the Imperial City? Do you want to see them storm into the great hall and drag Me off the throne?"
The old minister lowered his head.
"Your subject would not dare."
"My sons have conflicts, struggles, and hatred. But the Keluoke Imperium still stands; as long as the Imperium stands, they will not truly take action. Although Kelake and Kesuosi are impulsive, they are not fools. They know what the outcome of a forced abdication is."
The ministers lowered their heads.
"Your Majesty is wise."
Keluoke Ershisi Shi continued to speak.
"After Kesi and the others return, you shall see with your own eyes what state Kelake and Kesuosi are in. Once you have seen it, you will know what is going on."
The ministers replied in unison.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
The great hall became quiet once again.
The ministers kept their heads lowered, but their gazes glanced toward the entrance from time to time.
Keluoke Imperium Capital Star, Spaceport.
Kesi's Shuttle descended from orbit and landed steadily in the berth.
The cabin door opened, Kesi walked out, followed by the First Prince Kelake and the Second Prince Kesuosi.
Several officials stood in the Spaceport; seeing the three of them, they bowed one after another.
"Your Highnesses, His Majesty is waiting for you in the court."
Kesi nodded.
"Understood."
The three boarded a hovercar and drove toward the Imperial City.
At the gate of the Imperial City, the hovercar stopped.
The three got out of the car and walked into the Imperial City.
At the entrance of the great hall, an attendant saw them and announced loudly.
"His Highness Kesi has arrived! His Highness the First Prince has arrived! His Highness the Second Prince has arrived!"
The gazes of everyone in the great hall turned toward the entrance simultaneously.
Kesi walked in first, with Kelake and Kesuosi following behind.
Keluoke Ershisi Shi sat on the throne, watching the three walk in, his brows furrowing slightly.
Kesi walked to the foot of the steps and knelt on one knee.
"Father Emperor, your son has not failed his mission; I have successfully persuaded the First Imperial Elder Brother and Second Imperial Elder Brother to withdraw their troops, and the First Imperial Elder Brother and Second Imperial Elder Brother have also recognized their mistakes and returned."
Kelake also knelt on one knee.
"Father Emperor, your son knows his crime. I should not have mobilized the fleet without authorization, nor should I have forced an abdication; your son is willing to accept any punishment."
Kesuosi also knelt down.
"Father Emperor, your son also knows his crime and is willing to accept any punishment."
