Chapter 1515: Status of the Xikushi United Nations
"That's good. Is there any need for adjustments in the fleet's command layer? How did Octavius perform during this Task?"
Lu Zhenda picked up a report and spoke.
"Octavius's execution efficiency is very high; his judgment of combat orders and his grasp of fire control are both extremely precise. His style is crisp and decisive, doing nothing superfluous; this command style is suitable for executing operations against the Star Spirit Federation."
After listening, Yingzhou nodded and said.
"Then let him maintain the current chain of command. After reaching the pre-deployment position in the Dongjing, have him coordinate the joint command plan with the Military Affairs Bureau on Kesi's side. How much longer do you need to stay in the Kroke Empire?"
Lu Zhenda stroked his chin and estimated.
"Internal stability on Kesi's side will take at least another two months or so to fully take shape. Kesi has only just begun to push forward the combat preparations against the Star Spirit Federation in the Dongjing; I can keep an eye on the progress if I stay here."
Yingzhou said.
"Good, then proceed at your own pace. You've been over there for quite a long time; do you need me to dispatch a batch of personnel to you?"
Lu Zhenda waved his hand.
"No need. My team structure here is complete, and our combat effectiveness has not declined. This current group can just continue to follow along."
Yingzhou nodded.
"Good. You continue to keep an eye on Kesi's progress over there. Once the combat preparations against the Star Spirit Federation are initiated, pay attention to observing the operational efficiency of the Kroke Empire's military system."
Lu Zhenda said.
"Understood, I will continue to track it."
"Alright, then you continue to be busy over there; contact me at any time if there are changes."
The communication cut off.
Yingzhou's gaze fell upon the list of pending items on the Data Pad screen.
Selina projected in the corner of the room and spoke.
"Do you need me to organize the list of backlogged pending matters from this period?"
Yingzhou reached out, picked up the Data Pad, and spoke.
"Organize them. Put the military and supply categories at the very top of the priority list. The political system side has Guilliman's, so that's not urgent; let's go through the few documents that require my signature and confirmation first."
Selina's projection nodded slightly, data streams flickered, and several project names appeared.
"On the military side, there are three expedition supply authorizations that require your signature. On the supply side, there is one application for the expansion of ports in the Bianyuan Xingyu. On the political system side, there are seven routine summary reports that need to be reviewed, two of which involve recommendations for the appointment and removal of the administrative chief of the Dongjing star sector."
Yingzhou placed the Data Pad on his knees, pulled out a stylus, tapped open the page of the first document, and spoke to Selina while reading the file.
"Bring the three expedition supply authorizations over first; I'll finish reading and sign them today. Put the two Dongjing appointment and removal recommendations at the end; there's no rush to sign those."
Selina said: "Order adjusted, the first document has been sent to you."
Xikushi United Nations, Zhongshu Xing, Administrative Headquarters Building.
Chanaisaikong stepped off the Shuttle, crossed the lobby, and walked toward the Secretary-General's office on the top floor.
The information screen above the lobby wall was scrolling and broadcasting the latest battle situation.
Border planet defense lines are shrinking.
The second colony planet has entered a state of emergency.
Chanaisaikong's gaze swept quickly over those lines of text and arrived before the dedicated elevator.
The elevator stopped at the top floor, the doors opened, and Chanaisaikong arrived at the Secretary-General's office, then knocked and entered.
Sitting behind the desk was a male of medium build with light brown skin, who was looking at a Data Pad on the desktop.
Secretary-General Jiadelin put down the Data Pad, saw Chanaisaikong, and gestured for him to sit in the chair opposite.
"You're back. How was the coronation ceremony in the Kroke Empire?"
Chanaisaikong sat down and began to report.
"The ceremony itself was nothing special. The new emperor of the Kroke Empire, Kesi, held a formal enthronement ceremony, and the procedures were similar to traditional practices. However, during the time I attended the ceremony, a few noteworthy things happened."
Jiadelin raised his head with interest.
"What things? Tell me about them."
"I met a delegation from a power that has emerged in the last few years, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance. Their senior envoy is named Lu Zhenda, and the specifications of their accompanying guard team were significantly higher than those of the delegations from all other powers."
"According to my observations at the time and subsequent inquiries, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is an interstellar power located about five or six power territories away from us, and both their territorial scope and fleet scale rank among the top in the surrounding region."
After thinking for a few seconds, Jiadelin nodded slightly and said.
"Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance? I seem to have heard this name somewhere. They don't have direct trade relations with us, right?"
"No direct relations. Their influence on the west side of the Bode Star System is concentrated in the Kroke Empire and its surrounding areas. The information I accessed shows that they have considerable influence over the new emperor of the Kroke Empire."
"At the coronation ceremony, their guards stopped the Kroke Empire's welcoming etiquette procedures on the spot, and Kesi's side did not show any dissatisfaction."
"Later, when a noble rebellion occurred within the Kroke Empire, the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance sent a fleet to support Kesi at the first opportunity."
"Additionally, during the ceremony, I made a tentative suggestion to have my guard and their golden guard have a simple sparring match. As a result, my guard was swatted away by the opponent with one hand and slammed into the wall; the entire process took less than a second."
Upon hearing this news, Jiadelin said in surprise.
"With one hand? How much higher is that guard's combat effectiveness than the elite guards you brought?"
"There is no basis for comparison. My guard didn't even complete a single effective attack under the opponent; the opponent didn't have any charging-up movements, nor did they use weapons—they just raised their hand."
"I later checked the Xikushi United Nations military records and couldn't find any known guard unit capable of achieving that level of combat performance."
Jiadelin looked at the star map in front of him, his gaze resting on the area on the western edge, and said.
"Separated by five powers, currently there is no contact with our borders, no trade relations, and no diplomatic disputes. This Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance cannot affect our side for the time being."
"List them in the observation scope, have the Intelligence Department establish a basic file, and record their known military strength, diplomatic tendencies, and main contacts. There is no need to invest extra resources to track them; just keep paying attention at this stage."
Chanaisaikong nodded.
"Understood, I will organize the relevant observation records into a file and submit them to the Intelligence Department for archiving."
Jiadelin picked up the Data Pad on the desktop and said in a serious tone.
"The matter of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance is shelved for now. Your return time happens to coincide with another problem: the situation on the front line of the Kaoquanzao Free Territory is not very optimistic."
