Chapter 204: Eliminating the Hidden Blue Slime Bugs

On the side of the Sixty-Sixth Corps, the advancing soldiers could not help but click their tongues in wonder at the formidable firepower of the armored unit leading the charge, as well as the individual combat prowess of those soldiers.

"Damn, their physical fitness is this strong? How on earth did they manage that?"

"And, looking at them, it seems they haven't used Spiritual Power to reinforce their bodies."

Compared to the astonishment of these Human Alliance soldiers, Xiong Zhongdao and the other team captains felt a gale blowing through their hearts at this moment.

These soldiers not only possessed extremely strong individual combat capabilities, but they also obeyed Yingzhou's orders without a single person raising a question; facing the Zerg surging in like a tide, they were actually able to erupt with such powerful combat strength!

Only the soldiers of the Thirteenth Legion were not that surprised by this. Just kidding! Did you see those muscular men wearing red headscarves? Those guys used to beat them black and blue; their physical fitness was terrifyingly strong, and they had extremely rich experience in jungle warfare.

Gu En said to the soldiers beside him, "I feel like this kid Yingzhou can summon even more soldiers now, and how is he able to summon armored vehicles and tanks too?"

"It feels like Captain Yingzhou's strength has also become very strong. Why are there three female medics following him? Good heavens, these medics are strong; they took out a Swift Bug with a single sword strike!"

"Captain Gu En, the other units are all pushing the front line. Isn't it a bit bad for us to be slacking off here?"

"We don't have many people to begin with. Besides, our Captain Yingzhou is also from our Thirteenth Legion, so him going up means we are going up too! However, this really is a bit inappropriate; let's hurry up and catch up with the main force!"

The soldiers of the Sixty-Sixth Corps followed the Prowler Tank unit forward. Although Yingzhou's soldiers attracted the attention of most of the Zerg, there were still quite a few Zerg trying to flank from both sides to break into the Yingzhou unit within the Insect Tide.

The Bolter in Yingzhou's hand opened fire on the Zerg that had broken through the armored unit. The large-caliber bolts directly shattered the outer shells of the Swift Bugs, and then the bodies of the Swift Bugs exploded like balloons, with green blood and shattered shell fragments scattering all over the ground.

"In the name of the God-Emperor! Purge the Alien! The God-Emperor watches over all of us living beings and bears witness to our Faith!"

A Xiunu used her Power Sword to cleave a Swift Bug that was trying to get close to Yingzhou in half; a wisp of smoke rose from the spot where the Swift Bug's corpse was split open.

Yingzhou saw that there were no Blue Slime bugs appearing in the swarm ahead. Watching the trajectory of the blue slime flying in from the air, he deduced that the Blue Slime bugs must be launching attacks from a blind spot on the battlefield.

"I wonder if the assaulting Krieg Legion has discovered this group of Blue Slime bugs," Yingzhou whispered to himself after seeing that the offensive ahead had been somewhat affected.

At this moment, the Gorgon armored assault transport convoy was speeding toward the Small Hatchery.

Just then, the Krieg soldier driving the lead Gorgon armored assault transport discovered a large number of Zerg appearing on the left flank, but these Zerg did not launch an attack on them. The soldier immediately sent a signal of the anomaly ahead to the drivers behind.

Inside one Gorgon armored assault transport, a Krieger whose attire was completely different from the surrounding Krieg soldiers was a Watch Sergeant that Yingzhou had previously redeemed using points and Faith Value.

A "c" emblem hung on his right shoulder, and a Power Sword was tucked at his waist.

After receiving this news, he issued an order.

"Ignore it, we are heading straight for the doorstep of the Alien!"

Just then, the Krieg Commissar on the side raised a different opinion.

"The task the Emperor has entrusted to us is not just to assault the Alien nest, but also to eliminate any Aliens encountered along the way that could endanger the main battlefield. I suggest we annihilate this group of Aliens."

The Watch Sergeant had originally wanted to reject the Krieg Commissar's proposal, but considering that the Krieg Commissar had mentioned the Emperor, he thought for a moment and then issued the latest order.

"Immediately annihilate the Aliens before us! We still have the task entrusted to us by the Emperor! Offer our Loyalty to the Emperor!"

This Krieg Commissar breathed a sigh of relief in secret. After he was summoned by Yingzhou, Yingzhou had specifically instructed him not to let these Krieg soldiers get carried away, to be mindful of Aliens that might affect the battlefield, and that at critical moments, he could say this was a task he had assigned to him.

The Krieg Commissar thought to himself: The Emperor is above! Thank you for your mercy!

The direction of the Gorgon armored transports shifted, and they began to drive toward the location of those Zerg.

Accompanied by the attacks of the Heavy Short Cannons and the firing of the Heavy Bolters, some of the outer Swift Bugs were directly wiped out, but behind them was another type of giant Zerg that looked 30 meters tall. Their exteriors were covered with sturdy shells, and dense tentacles grew from their backs, the surfaces of which were also armored.

These Tentacle Bugs launched an attack on the Gorgon armored assault transports. Dense tentacles reached toward the lead Gorgon armored assault transport, the ends of the tentacles turning into spikes about three meters long. These spikes, dripping with blue slime, fiercely pierced through the Gorgon armored assault transport.

At this moment, the passenger cabin door of this Gorgon armored assault transport opened, and the surviving Krieg soldiers opened fire on these tentacles with their Lucius Pattern 98 Lasguns.

More Gorgon armored assault transports appeared and opened fire on these Tentacle Bugs, and behind these Tentacle Bugs were the Blue Slime bugs constantly spraying blue slime.

As the Krieg soldiers rushed out of the Gorgon armored assault transports, coupled with the fire support from the Gorgon armored transports, the tentacles of these Tentacle Bugs were quickly severed, and their main bodies were beaten until they were covered in wounds and on the verge of death.

At this time, the Blue Slime bugs hiding in the back gradually revealed themselves. They sprayed a small amount of blue slime from their mouths at the Krieg soldiers trying to approach them, directly dissolving some of the Krieg soldiers.

Several Gorgon armored assault vehicles rushed forward directly, firing their Heavy Short Cannons at the bloated tails of the Blue Slime bugs.

The powerful explosion engulfed these Blue Slime bugs; some Krieg soldiers who were closer were also hit by the slime scattered from the Blue Slime bugs, and even those giant Tentacle Bugs were caught in the blast.

After the battle ended, the Krieg soldiers checked the battlefield for any remaining active Aliens, and if there were any, they would finish them off with a clean shot.

Seeing that the Aliens here had been dealt with, the Watch Sergeant and the Krieg Commissar immediately had the surviving Krieg soldiers who were still fit for duty board the Gorgon armored assault transports. Once all the Krieg soldiers had returned to the Gorgon armored assault transports, they slowly turned the vehicles around and began to advance toward the Small Hatchery.
