Chapter 469: The Impatient War Hounds
Palace of the Frost Clan in the Extreme Cold Zone.
The Frost Leader put on his armor, gave his wife a gentle hug, and then turned and left.
Outside the palace, several Frost Clan generals had been waiting for a long time; upon seeing the Frost Leader emerge, Chadongjia immediately knelt on one knee and spoke in a respectful tone.
"Leader, the Frost Hunters have all been awakened, and those Myriad-Man Commanders are leading them toward the grave we have prepared for that Human force.
Excluding the defensive troops, the remaining Frost Warriors have all assembled and are ready to fight for you at any time to completely annihilate those Humans!"
The Frost Leader tightened the helmet on his head and spoke in a serious tone.
"Good, let us depart. Let those Humans know the might of the Frost Clan; it is time to end this farce."
At this moment, inside the Frost Clan kingdom, when the Frost clansmen saw the Frost Leader fully armed and leaving with several generals, they cheered loudly one after another.
"Long live the Frost Clan!"
"Long live the Leader!"
"Victory!"
Listening to these cheers, the Frost Leader even waved to the surrounding clansmen, responding loudly to the shouts of his people.
"I shall return in triumph with victory!"
Outside the Frost Clan kingdom in the Extreme Cold Zone.
After the Frost Leader walked out of the city gate and saw the Frost Warriors standing in neat rows in the cold wind before him, he said to General Chadongjia beside him.
"Where are the Frost Hunters? Have they arrived?"
Chadongjia pointed to a snowy slope in the distance, where 300 tall and sturdy Frost Hunters were currently chatting together.
"Where is the Great Shaman?"
"Leader, the Great Shaman is preparing a lethal weapon to deal with the Humans; this is his latest invention."
"Oh? Then I shall have to look forward to it."
Upon hearing Chadongjia's words, the Frost Leader revealed an interested expression and spoke.
Seeing that the Leader had returned to normal so quickly after Xiukasi's death, Chadongjia felt immensely relieved; this meant his Leader would not act on impulse and cause uncontrollable changes in the war situation.
"How many people do the Human forces have now?"
The Frost Leader sat on his seat to the side and asked Chadongjia, who was standing beside him.
"According to the latest intelligence gathered by our Sentinels, the three small invading Human forces have already converged and are currently resting in place; I believe they will soon set out toward us.
The number is about 8,000, and there are 30 tall Humans wearing blue and white armor."
After hearing Chadongjia's report, the Frost Leader looked toward the 300 Frost Hunters on the snowy slope and said noncommittally.
"Only 30, yet we dispatched 300 Frost Hunters; is that not too impulsive?"
Seeing this, Chadongjia hurriedly replied.
"How could it be? This dispatch of 300 Frost Hunters, combined with so many of our warriors, will teach those arrogant Humans a profound lesson.
Tell them one truth: in our territory, they will never be able to defeat us!"
Hearing Chadongjia say this, the Frost Leader nodded in satisfaction and spoke slowly.
"Hmm, that is true; those Humans seem to be overly arrogant."
Valhalla Frost Warrior camp in the Extreme Cold Zone.
"Respected Astartes, the Emperor's will is for us to rest in place; follow-up reinforcements are on the way. Once the reinforcements arrive, we will continue to eliminate the Aliens!
Additionally, our No. 7 Position of the 46th Legion outside was attacked by Zerg Aliens, but the battle there seems to have ended; Emperor's Angels arrived on the battlefield and completely crushed the Alien offensive!"
After hearing the Valhalla Captain's report, Fuderi remained silent for a long time before slowly speaking.
"Then we shall follow the Emperor's will. How much longer until the follow-up reinforcements arrive?"
The Valhalla Captain pondered for a moment and then spoke.
"When the communication was sent, the support troops had already set out; they should be arriving soon."
Hearing the Valhalla Captain's explanation, Fuderi suppressed the impatient urge in his heart to complete the Task; after all, the Emperor's will could not be defied, and the Emperor must have a reason for doing this!
Thinking of this, Fuderi left the camp and found Randall, who was standing at the edge of the camp, gazing into the distance.
"Randall, what are you looking at? Our speed of advance may have to slow down; the Emperor has sent another unit to us, and we need to wait for this unit to arrive before we continue our advance."
Upon hearing Fuderi's words, Randall nodded and said in a flat tone.
"Hmm, then we shall follow the Emperor's will, though some of our more eager brothers will likely have to hold back for a while."
Having said this, Randall said to Fuderi.
"Three Aliens have already come to scout our camp one after another; I did not attack them. They do not dare to approach us and are only watching from afar.
If the support troops arrive, I will handle the Aliens that come to scout."
As he spoke, Randall gripped his Chainaxe with his right hand and swung it a few times at the air in front of him.
"Of course, the Aliens that come to scout will be left to you. Once the support troops arrive, we will complete the Task as quickly as possible, so that we can show our father our performance when we return!"
Fuderi said in a relaxed tone and reached out his right hand to pat Randall's left shoulder armor, which was imprinted with the War Hounds emblem.
About half an hour later, Kern Commissar found Fuderi, and after a standard salute, Kern Commissar spoke in a solemn tone.
"Respected Astartes, the support troops have arrived; the number of men is..., and the equipment is..."
Before Kern Commissar could finish his sentence, he saw Fuderi raise his right hand, directly interrupting Kern Commissar's report.
Fuderi said straightforwardly to Kern Commissar.
"I have no interest in knowing how many men you have brought. Since the support troops have arrived, let us depart. We will be responsible for the frontal assault; you arrange for a portion of the soldiers to follow behind us, and the others will provide artillery cover."
Kern Commissar paused noticeably, but upon hearing Fuderi's unquestionable tone, he saluted and replied.
"Yes! I will go and arrange it now!"
As Kern Commissar walked back, a trace of doubt arose in his heart; why did he feel that the Astartes seemed so anxious? Could it be that they had other combat missions? Did they need to finish off the Aliens here as quickly as possible to head to the next battlefield?
Hmm, that makes sense; after all, the Death Korps of Krieg outside had already engaged in battle with the Zerg Aliens, and there were too many places where the Emperor's Angels were needed; his own tactical assessment had failed to account for that.
Thinking of this, Kern Commissar quickened his pace a little.
