Chapter 472: They Are Only Three People

~7 min read 1,231 words

Camp of the Frost Clan decoy ten-thousand-man unit.

"Hmm? That human unit has attacked?"

Upon hearing the sound of artillery fire from afar, the Frost Myriad Commander felt a trace of doubt rise in his heart and muttered to himself.

The Frost Myriad Commander had just stepped out of his command room when he nearly collided with a rushing Frost Sentinel.

"What's the rush? Panicking like that, what kind of behavior is this? What is the situation now?"

The Frost Myriad Commander looked at this Frost Sentinel with an unhappy expression and spoke in a stern tone.

"My... ha... Myriad-Man Commander, the human unit has already started fighting with the troops outside the ambush circle!"

When the Frost Myriad Commander heard this news, he instantly felt his thoughts unable to keep up.

What does that mean? The ambushing troops are already fighting the human unit? Then what is the point of me being a decoy here? Is this a joke?

The Frost Myriad Commander looked at the Frost Sentinel before him and asked again.

"Who gave the order for the ambushing troops to attack the human unit?"

"No one gave the order; that human unit discovered them on their own. They are currently engaging the ambushing troops, and another unit is advancing toward our area."

After hearing the Frost Sentinel's report, the Frost Myriad Commander's expression turned grave, and a bad premonition rose in his heart.

"How many humans are in the unit advancing toward us?"

"Reporting, Myriad-Man Commander, there are a total of three tall humans wearing blue and white armor, plus over a dozen human armored vehicles and fewer than 1,000 ordinary soldiers. Our reconnaissance squad is down to just me; my other comrades were all killed by those three tall humans, and I only survived because of their cover."

The Frost Myriad Commander waved his hand and said to the Frost Sentinel.

"Pass the word down, have our warriors prepare to meet the enemy!"

"Yes!"

After issuing the order, the Frost Myriad Commander called a Frost Shaman into his command room and had the other party project the scene outside the current camp fortifications.

As the Frost Shaman brought out an Ice Bead, the Frost Myriad Commander quickly saw three tall humans in blue and white armor charging toward him; they were very fast and had clearly become separated from the armored unit behind them.

"Hmph, a few overconfident humans, daring to separate from their armored unit!"

Saying this, the Frost Myriad Commander had the Frost Shaman notify the two Chiliarchs on the front line.

"The human armored unit has clearly become separated. Although the three tall humans charging at the front are very strong, there are only three of them now. Take your warriors, and take the 20 Frost Hunters assigned by the leader, go intercept them and finish them off!"

Soon, the Frost Shaman looked at the Myriad-Man Commander and spoke slowly.

"Myriad-Man Commander, your order has been issued. The two Chiliarchs guarantee that they will definitely finish off those three tall humans!"

Upon hearing this news, the Frost Myriad Commander nodded with satisfaction, his gaze turning to the map projection on his side, watching the three red dots appear on the projection and gradually approach his position.

On the other side, Kern Commissar, sitting inside the Chimera Armored Vehicle, felt a headache coming on after hearing the vehicle commander's report.

"Officer Kern, the three Astartes have left our unit and are directly assaulting the Alien camp."

The three Astartes ran too fast and left them behind? There were still soldiers following behind the armored vehicles; if his own armored vehicle sped up, those soldiers would suffer some unnecessary casualties.

Well, the three Astartes are Emperor's Angels; they shouldn't have any problems.

Thinking of this, Kern Commissar took a deep breath, raised his right hand to adjust his high-peaked cap, and tried to make his tone sound as calm as possible.

"Continue the advance according to the previous plan! The Emperor's Angels are clearing the Aliens for us in front; tell the soldiers not to fall behind!"

"Yes!"

As the communication cut off, Kern Commissar reached out his right hand, rubbed his temples, and let out a heavy breath.

The other Valhalla officers inside the Chimera Armored Vehicle did not speak at this moment.

If it were ordinary soldiers or officers leading the unit and getting separated, they would certainly make an example of them and deal with them severely to prevent discipline issues.

But... they are Emperor's Angels, what else could they say? What else could they say?

The Valhalla officers in the passenger cabin remained silent, merely tidying their equipment.

"For the Emperor!"

Fuderi gripped his Chainaxe tightly with his right hand and strode forward, with two War Dog Space Marines following on either side of Fuderi with Bolters held across their chests.

Suddenly, one War Dog Space Marine looked back and mentioned in a flat tone.

"Fuderi, we seem to have separated from the armored unit."

Upon hearing this, Fuderi also looked back and let out a roar.

"It's fine, let's go finish off those Aliens first! Just let those soldiers come over to clean up the battlefield! We are carrying out this task with the expectations our father has for us! Kill!"

Hearing Fuderi's words, the two War Dog Space Marines said no more and let out a low growl.

"For the Emperor! For the Lord of Red Sand! Kill!"

Just ten seconds after the three of them growled, the two War Dog Space Marines quickly raised the Bolters in their hands, aimed at the Frost warriors who had just appeared, and pulled the triggers.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The crisp gunfire of the Bolters pierced the cold wind, and one Rune Bullet after another flew toward the Frost warriors who had just emerged from behind the Ice Wall.

With a series of explosions, the Frost warriors who had just come out from the Ice Wall were instantly blown open with large holes in their bodies; some even unluckier Frost warriors were directly headshot, their headless corpses flying backward a short distance due to inertia.

This made the Frost warriors who hadn't poked their heads out from the Ice Wall afraid to do so again, which infuriated the Centurion who had given the order. He raised the Energy Gun in his hand and roared loudly at the Frost warriors hiding behind the Ice Wall who dared not go out.

"Go out and meet the enemy! If you are so afraid of death, then I will execute you right now!"

Under the Centurion's roar, these Frost warriors finally rushed out from behind the Ice Wall again. This time, the death-knell-like gunfire did not ring out, and these Frost warriors secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing that the three tall humans were about to charge to their side, they raised their Cold Wind Energy Guns and opened fire on the three tall humans in front.

Seeing this, Fuderi aimed at the locations where there were many Aliens and threw two Fragmentation Grenades; the other two War Dog Space Marines followed suit.

Several Fragmentation Grenades flew like cannonballs, hitting the Frost Aliens hiding behind the fortifications head-on and smashing their heads open.

Then came several deafening explosions, and this group of Frost warriors, who hadn't even fired a few shots, had already become incomplete corpses.
