Chapter 506: Two-legged Sheep in Green Armor (2)

~7 min read 1,241 words

Inside a cage in a Beast Race camp, twelve-year-old Lilian shielded her younger brother behind her.

Hearing the intermittent gunfire and the roars of the Beast Race outside, Lilian could not stop her body from trembling, yet she still forced herself to remain calm and comfort her brother.

"Brother, don't be afraid, we will be fine."

There was no response; the little boy in Lilian's arms did not respond, but the cold touch did not make Lilian abandon the brother in her arms.

Lilian suddenly felt a scorching heat pass through the tent from outside, followed by a smell of burning and charring; the pungent odor made Lilian unable to hold back, and she coughed out loud.

After coughing twice, Lilian immediately covered her mouth, hearing heavy footsteps seemingly approaching from outside, and the firelight reflected two huge black shadows outside the tent, as well as a green reflection cast by the flames.

Lilian could not help but hug her cold brother tightly in fear, shielding him behind her.

As the tent was pulled open, Lilian saw two tall creatures wearing green Armor standing before her, one of whom held a jagged Greatsword in his hand, with the undried blood of the Beast Race still on his body.

"Oh, there are actually two little ones here. Heavens, you are truly a brave child, the one in your arms... is he your family?"

Charon saw a little girl huddled in the cage holding a little boy, and just as he wanted to praise the bravery of the two children, he discovered that the little boy in the girl's arms had already gone cold.

Tsk! These damned Aliens!

Charon cursed inwardly, put away the Composite Flamethrower in his hand, and gripped the cage holding the little girl with both hands; as the sound of metal creaking rang out, the cage holding the child was torn open by Charon, leaving a large gap.

"Child, wait here for a moment, don't look outside yet."

Ignar saw five or six Aliens firing at them, the live ammunition sparking against his Ceramite Armor.

Ignar gripped his Chainsword and charged toward these Aliens, braving their firepower; under the roar of the Chainsword, the flesh and bone of the Aliens were rapidly separated.

Ignar thrust his Chainsword into an Alien's abdominal cavity, the teeth shredding the Alien's ribs, and foul-smelling blood splattered onto Ignar's MK2 Power Armor.

"Taigehe'er, there is a survivor here who needs to have an Alien Mark blocked."

When Ignar pulled his Chainsword from the Alien's chest, he saw Taigehe'er, who was carrying the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd, rushing over, along with a Salamanders warrior holding a Bolter.

"I came here precisely because I saw the coordinates; how many survivors are there?"

"One?"

When Taigehe'er heard there was only one, he felt for a moment that he was simply wasting his time, but considering the temperament of the Salamanders warrior, he did not say much and replied simply.

"I understand."

At this moment, Lilian smelled the air filled with an acidic, rotten, burnt stench—the smell of high-temperature flames scorching Beast Race flesh.

Those alloy bars that had been bent by force were casting twisted shadows on Lilian's retinas.

When this two-meter-three-tall giant knelt on one knee, the eagle emblem on his chest armor almost touched the tip of Lilian's nose.

Lilian could even clearly see the bullet marks on his shoulder armor, those dents of varying depths.

"Close your eyes, child."

Charon tried his best to make his tone gentle.

"Don't open them until you count to one hundred."

After Taigehe'er blocked the Alien Mark, he said to Ignar.

"We must act quickly; I have the coordinates of quite a few survivors being controlled by the Aliens."

Just then, Taigehe'er received a communication from Huokan.

"Taigehe'er, the Aliens in this camp have been mostly cleared out. Come to the center position first; there seems to be an Alien here, and the energy around him is somewhat strange."

Taigehe'er took a deep breath and replied to Huokan's communication.

"Understood, I will be there as soon as possible."

Geliumeng saw that there were not many Beast Race warriors gathered around him; basically, they were just the warriors in his immediate vicinity.

A sense of foreboding surged into Geliumeng's heart, and just as Geliumeng was stunned, two Salamanders warriors wearing MK2 Power Armor arrived before this group of assembled Beast Race warriors.

"Bathed in the fires of war, forged on the anvil of battle!"

Although Geliumeng could not understand what these two Two-legged Sheep wearing green Armor were shouting, he saw the large guns in their hands begin to strafe them.

The warriors hit by the large guns in the hands of those Two-legged Sheep had many holes blasted into their bodies, and those who were a bit unluckier were blown directly into fragments.

"Damn it! These Two-legged Sheep actually dare! I am going to activate the War Totem!"

Geliumeng pulled an Amulet from his bosom that the Priest had given him; he had heard that lord say this would make him stronger!

As the Amulet was crushed by Geliumeng, streaks of blood-red Rune Power crawled all over Geliumeng's body, and even around Geliumeng, streaks of blood-red Runes appeared.

The Beast Race warriors stained by the Blood Runes were instantly sucked into the blood-red Runes around Geliumeng, making these blood-red Runes even more eerie.

Feeling that he was now filled with power, Geliumeng laughed out loud, looked at the two Two-legged Sheep who were reloading their large guns, and charged toward them with big strides without hesitation.

"The blood-red Runes around this Alien are somewhat strange!"

Huokan had just finished changing the magazine for his Bolter when he quickly drew his Chainsword, blocking the Biting Battle Axe that Geliumeng had swung rapidly.

Huokan instinctively felt that the power erupting from the opponent at this moment had a faint tendency to suppress him, which might also be related to the Blood Runes on its body.

The Salamanders warrior beside Huokan also stopped changing his magazine and drew his Chainsword, slashing toward Geliumeng's head.

Several blood-red Runes quickly blocked the Chainsword's attack, and the Chainsword's attack could not move down even a fraction further.

At this moment, Geliumeng's three-meter-tall body was covered in bone-plate armor, the Blood Runes on the armor were like they had come alive, and the Skull Crystal on the Biting Battle Axe simultaneously released twisted Rune Power.

"Come on! Tin-can Two-legged Sheep!"

The Battle Axe struck Huokan's Chainsword, colliding with a flash like a nuclear explosion.

Huokan used the momentum to spin, his Chainsword drawing an arc and emitting a deathly hum. However, Huokan's attack was once again blocked by Geliumeng's blood-red Runes.

"Is that all the skill you have? Pathetic Two-legged Sheep!"

Although Geliumeng kept mocking the two Two-legged Sheep before him, he was already terrified inside.

Seeing the ground around the three of them constantly sinking, Geliumeng did not feel a shred of fear from the Two-legged Sheep before him.

"For the Emperor!"

A low roar came from behind Geliumeng, and a beam of azure light flashed past Geliumeng's neck; as the blood-red Runes resisted that azure slash, they were instantly reduced to nothing and disappeared.

Geliumeng's last sight was a Two-legged Sheep wearing silver-white Armor standing before his corpse, using powerful energy to destroy his headless body.

And Geliumeng's final wild laughter froze forever, ultimately to be crushed by a green Ceramite Battle Boots.
