Chapter 547: Airborne to the Seventh Defense Zone

Inside the Human Alliance transport plane.

Vulkan gripped the power hammer in his hand and said to the Salamanders Astartes sitting inside the transport plane.

"Huokan, after you lead the squad to land in a moment, proceed quickly to the Seventh Defense Zone's communication tower, secure the Seventh Defense Zone communication tower, and restore the communication signal with the Ninth Defense Zone."

"Yes, Father, I will certainly not fail the mission!"

Huokan nodded heavily at Vulkan and replied solemnly.

"Also, pay attention to whether there are any survivors being held captive along the way; mark them well to avoid harming the innocent."

"Understood."

The transport plane's broadcast sounded at this moment.

As Vulkan was the first to leap down from the transport plane, one Salamanders Astartes after another followed, and Dabeiwenqiao and Taigehe'er exchanged a glance.

"Then I will head down first."

"Mm, for the Emperor, brother."

Dabeiwenqiao was the first to leap from the transport plane, while Taigehe'er had the transport pilot fly the plane toward the Outer City of the Seventh Defense Zone.

Back in the transport plane, Vulkan had already assigned tasks to the two; after landing, they were responsible for using psionic power to disrupt the control marks branded onto the survivors by the Beast Alien.

When Taigehe'er leaped down from the sky above the Outer City of the Seventh Defense Zone, he saw many Alicia Airborne also just leaping from their respective transport planes; in the ruined buildings of the Outer City, laser beams lit up from time to time.

Taigehe'er's Holy Shield Power Armor smashed a large crater into the ground.

Through his helmet visor, Taigehe'er saw three Alicia soldiers in the ruins at the twelve o'clock position firing their Akalente Laser Guns at the Beast Alien approaching them.

There were constant landing trajectories of airborne troops in the sky, and the Orcs' anti-air cannons began firing at the Alicia soldiers who had not yet landed.

But in the pitch-black night, the Orcs' anti-air cannons could not find their targets at all, instead allowing the Alicia soldiers in the air to locate their positions.

A laser beam accurately struck the forehead of an Orc warrior who was firing, causing the Orc anti-air cannon to go cold before it could even unleash its firepower.

Some Alicia soldiers, upon landing on the ground, happened to run into Orc patrols, and from time to time, several Alicia soldiers would fall under the fierce firepower of the Orcs.

Taigehe'er walked out of the large crater and charged toward the densest anti-air fire.

Psionic runes flowed on the surface of his silver armor; when the first rocket hit him head-on, he extended his armored palm, and his psionic power condensed into a translucent diamond-shaped shield.

The shockwave of the explosion overturned several Orc warriors who had raised their weapons to fire from the ruins.

All the Orcs' attacks were blocked by Taigehe'er's psionic barrier; Taigehe'er crashed heavily into the ruins, his foot's hydraulic shock absorbers crushing the concrete.

The Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd in his hand traced a deep blue arc in the darkness.

Before a few Orc warriors could even react, they had already become charred corpses, severed head from body.

Taigehe'er walked out of the ruins and found five Alicia soldiers being surrounded by Green Skins.

They were backed against a concrete bunker that had been kicked up into dust by the barrage, firing from time to time at the Orc warriors closing in on them; their precise shooting skills meant that every laser beam from the Alicia soldiers took the life of an Orc warrior.

"For the Emperor!"

Taigehe'er's roar drowned out the roar of the battlefield.

The Inquisition Emblem on his shoulder armor suddenly bloomed with golden light, and the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd swept across, cutting the lunging Orc warriors in half at the waist.

The foul-smelling green blood vaporized in the Shengming Fuhuo before it could even hit the ground.

Alicia Sergeant Ke'er Sen saw the blue psionic light escaping from the gaps in the armor, and that silver-white Holy Shield Power Armor immediately made them realize this was an Emperor's Angel.

"Lord Astartes! Watch the east side!"

Before the words were finished, the ground suddenly bulged.

An armored vehicle welded from scrap iron drove out from the left; the Orc warrior operating the machine gun on the scrap armored vehicle let out a roar, and the three machine guns protruding from the scrap armored vehicle opened fire on Taigehe'er.

"Roar!"

The psionic barrier in front of Taigehe'er's Holy Shield Power Armor flickered constantly as he held up the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd in his hand.

Taigehe'er charged forward rapidly, and the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd pierced into the scrap armored vehicle without any effort; Taigehe'er slashed hard to the right, and sparks poured onto his Holy Shield Power Armor like a rainstorm.

Taigehe'er's free left hand reached into the scrap armored vehicle that had been slashed open, pulled out an Orc's ugly face from inside, and psionic lightning poured into the Orc's body along his arm.

When the twitching Green Skin exploded into chunks of meat, Taigehe'er suddenly felt the ground beneath his feet tremble violently.

A scrap tank drove out from the ruins on the west side, and a group of Orcs holding large guns followed the scrap tank out, firing at the five Alicia soldiers and Taigehe'er.

Two Alicia soldiers were hit directly by the tank's shells and vanished in the explosion.

The Alicia soldiers landing from the sky also began to provide support toward the location where the scrap tank had appeared.

Just as Taigehe'er was preparing to charge up and use the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd to finish off the alien's tank, an Alicia Sentinel killed its way out, and the Sentinel's heavy bolter unleashed a burst of fire at the Orcs near the scrap tank.

This group of Orc warriors had not expected such a big guy to appear; blood flowers exploded in the crowd instantly, and a group of Orc warriors had their lives harvested by the heavy bolter like wheat.

That scrap tank turned its muzzle toward the Alicia Sentinel and fired.

Before it could fire, however, it was cut by Taigehe'er, who had rushed forward holding the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd, which sheared off the scrap tank's cannon barrel, followed by a bolt of psionic lightning.

The scrap tank instantly began to smoke, and one could imagine that the Orcs inside had turned into charcoal.

"Lord Astartes!"

Sergeant Ke'er Sen said after saluting Taigehe'er.

"No traces of human survivors have been found in this vicinity, it is full of aliens everywhere!"

After hearing the report from this soldier, Taigehe'er nodded, and just at that moment, a voice suddenly sounded in his helmet's communication channel.

"This is Shantan Squad of the Salamanders, we have discovered a Breeding Ground where human survivors are being held, please have Taigehe'er arrive at the designated location as soon as possible."

After seeing the coordinates sent to him, Taigehe'er discovered that the distance from here was not far, and he then looked at these Alicia soldiers and spoke.

"Soldiers, the time to serve the Emperor has come! Exterminate every Alien you see! Leave none alive! Additionally, once communications are restored, send the coordinates to the Military District immediately."
