Chapter 614: Attacking the Energy Tower

Hou Energy Tower in the Sixth Defense Zone.

A group of Hou warriors, wearing black armor and of various forms, are standing guard all around.

"Have you heard? All these battle formations now are because of one Human!"

A Hou warrior with an eye growing on its neck, holding an Energy Gun, said to the companion beside it.

"Human? One? You must be joking, right? Organizing us to garrison the Energy Tower with such a grand display, and you tell me it's just one Human?"

Seeing that the companion did not believe the news, this Hou warrior looked around and whispered to the compatriot.

"It's true. A friend of mine previously went to follow Lord Heertui and the others to raid the Ninth Defense Zone yesterday, but as soon as they arrived, they were blocked at the entrance of the Teleportation Array and beaten up.

By the time he returned to his own Puppet, he learned that the Ninth Defense Zone Human who had been bewitched by Lord Heertui was faking it; he hadn't been bewitched at all, and he had also summoned some Human Soldiers from who knows where and started fighting us in the Sixth Defense Zone."

"No way? Then wouldn't it be enough to just send someone to take care of that Human?"

Just then, a Hou officer walked up to the two and said in a serious tone.

"What are you talking about! Pay attention to guarding the surroundings! I've heard that the Energy Tower closest to us has already been attacked by invaders and has now lost contact. Don't you dare make such a mistake!"

The two Hou warriors gave a start and immediately replied.

"Yes!"

Just as this Hou officer was about to leave, a loud explosion came from outside the Energy Tower. The next second, this Hou officer's head was blown apart, and the corpse fell powerlessly from the guard post wall.

The two Hou warriors dodged quickly the moment they heard the gunshot, only able to watch the headless corpse of the officer who had just reprimanded them fall below the wall.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"

This gunshot broke the tranquility of this Energy Tower. The Hou warriors garrisoning this Energy Tower quickly began to pick up their weapons and go to their respective combat positions, only to see that armored vehicles and tanks belonging to Human Civilization had actually appeared outside.

"F***! It really is Humans! Those are Human armored vehicles and tanks!"

"Careful, their muzzles are aimed at our side!"

"Activate the Energy Tower Defense Shield!"

Under the order of another Hou officer, the Energy Tower activated the Defense Shield the moment it was aimed at by the Battle Cannon of the Leman Russ Tank.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Several high-powered Rune Bullets exploded outside the Defense Shield, and the potential energy generated by the explosions caused the ground to vibrate slightly.

"Counterattack! Damn it! No matter how these Humans popped up! Kill them for me!"

The Energy Cannons near the Energy Tower were adjusting their muzzles, aiming at the tanks that appeared in their field of vision, and the armored vehicles began to charge.

On the other side, War Dog Space Marine Claudius, seeing the Alien Energy Tower activate its Defense Shield, gave the order.

"Move! We charge over and take out the Energy Tower opposite us!"

After saying that, he hugged his Bolter and rushed out of the shadows, charging toward the Energy Tower that had activated its Defense Shield.

"Multi-lasers, aim at those Alien Energy Cannons! Fire!"

Seeing that this Defense Shield could only withstand attacks from kinetic weapons, the Armageddon Lieutenant immediately had the Multi-lasers on the Chimera Armored Vehicle aim at those Alien Energy Cannons that were charging.

"Fire!"

The Hou warriors who were operating the Energy Cannons to charge were hit by streaks of Laser Beams and instantly fell from their gun positions.

"These Humans actually have Energy Weapons too! Stop charging! Fire directly!"

Several Energy Cannon muzzles quickly lit up with a green glow, and the foremost Chimera Armored Vehicles were hit directly by the Energy Cannons and paralyzed on the road.

The Chimera Armored Vehicles behind smashed through the wreckage of the front Chimera Armored Vehicles and began to fire and advance toward the Energy Tower garrisoned by the Aliens.

Furthermore, many Armageddon Soldiers followed beside the Chimera Armored Vehicles and Leman Russ Tanks, firing their Laser Guns at the Aliens near the Energy Tower.

"Officer! There are ten tall Humans wearing armor rushing toward us from outside!"

"Have a squad of soldiers nearby go and take care of them!"

"Yes!"

The sound of metal tearing intertwined with the roar of Bolters as ten blue-and-white figures crashed into the Defense Shield held up by the Hou.

"This shield of his cannot stop us! For the Emperor! For the Lord of Red Sand! Kill!!!"

The Bolter in Claudius's hand, assisted by the combat system in his helmet, quickly entered Harvest mode.

The Bolter precisely point-fired at every Hou warrior that appeared in his field of vision.

The Hou warriors' energy attacks hit Claudius, leaving a red bullet crater and blue smoke on his MK2 Power Armor, but they did not penetrate Claudius's Power Armor.

As the other War Dog Space Marines began to use their Bolters to point-fire, they soon formed a dense web of firepower. The Aliens that appeared within their field of vision could not even react before being headshot by a single bullet.

The Hou warriors who came to intercept them were suppressed so much that they dared not even show their heads, and could only hide behind their respective covers and shout loudly.

"Quick! Tell the officer, these Humans' firepower is too fierce, we need more support."

Seeing these Aliens suppressed and not daring to show their heads, Claudius quickly said in the communication channel.

"Adopt Bellerophon IV tactics!"

Saying that, Claudius led four War Dog Space Marines to sprint forward quickly and changed the weapons in their hands to Chainaxes.

The rapidly charging Claudius approached the inside of the Energy Tower's defensive perimeter at the speed of a hundred-meter dash, and the Chainaxe in his hand cut three one-eyed Hou warriors in half at the waist.

The five War Dog Space Marines following behind quickly kept up with the pace, their Bolters guarding the surroundings. One War Dog Space Marine, upon discovering a Hou warrior preparing to activate an Energy Mine, quickly turned his Bolter's muzzle, aimed, and fired in one smooth motion; the Hou warrior's head was instantly blown into minced meat.

"Heavy firepower at three o'clock!"

A War Dog Space Marine's shoulder armor was scorched red by a green energy beam. Locking onto the position where the energy beam flew from, this War Dog Space Marine immediately threw a Fragmentation Grenade.

"Boom!"

In a loud explosion, an Energy Cannon was Devoured by the blast, and even the Hou warrior operating the Energy Cannon did not escape unscathed.
