Chapter 623: Destroying the Crystal Pillar

Sixth Defense Zone Inner City.

Mo Renba kicked a Krieg soldier he had just sliced in two with his energy blade.

Looking at his own arm, which had been blown off halfway, Mo Renba was filled with curiosity about these humans wearing gas masks before him.

After the tall human dodged the attack, Mo Renba finally saw the attire of the three Grey Knights before him.

This was exactly the same as the three tall humans he had seen in the Ninth Defense Zone. Perhaps there were differences in their physiques, but according to his previous guesses, shouldn't those be the peak combat powers of humanity? How could they come to the Sixth Defense Zone alone?

Mo Renba touched the Crystal Pillar with his right hand, forcing all the Hou warriors within this Crystal Pillar to disconnect from their puppets.

With the home base being raided, what was the point of fighting so intensely outside!

Ripples appeared on the surface of the Crystal Pillar, and streams of emerald energy condensed into humanoid silhouettes.

These energy bodies had no facial features, with rhombic cores embedded in their chests and light blades that constantly collapsed extending from their hands.

"Alien!"

Saifulesi swung his halberd at the nearest energy body; the halberd blade collided with an energy light blade, sparking a turbulent flow of energy.

Aurelian's psionic lightning leaped between the energy bodies, causing significant damage to these Hou energy bodies, which emitted strange cries when struck by the psionic lightning.

"Psionic attack is effective!"

As the psionic arc dissipated at the tip of his halberd, the three Hou energy bodies suddenly split into thirty-six clones, surrounding Aurelian.

The psionic barrier outside the Holy Shield Power Armor was constantly under attack. Although the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd in Aurelian's hand was being swung fast enough, there were still Hou energy bodies finding gaps to attack.

The backs of the three sets of Holy Shield Power Armor deployed hexagonal force field generators, linking together into a triangular barrier.

The light blades rained down on the barrier, causing dense golden ripples to appear on the surface of the force field.

"Need to destroy that pillar!" Aurelian's helmet visor flashed with data streams, "Their energy source is..."

Before he could finish, the Crystal Pillar suddenly shot out several light chains, connecting to each Hou energy body.

Valantis swung his halberd to sever the light chains in front of him, and the severed energy bodies immediately dimmed by a third.

"Destroy the connections! Saifulesi, suppress the formation!"

Overload steam hissed from the joints of Saifulesi's Holy Shield Power Armor, and the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd traced azure afterimages.

Every slash severed those light chains, attracting the attacks of many Hou energy bodies.

"Cover me!"

Cracks began to appear around both Valantis and Mo Renba. The moment they spread, Aurelian seized the opportunity, his internal psionic energy surging again as he charged toward the Crystal Pillar, braving the energy shockwave.

Seeing Aurelian charging toward the Crystal Pillar again, Mo Renba was anxious and burning with impatience; he wanted to intercept him but was suppressed by Valantis.

Valantis's Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd gradually drew closer to Mo Renba. The moment Mo Renba was distracted looking at Aurelian, he directly increased his psionic output.

In an instant, he sliced through the alien energy body before him, and psionic arcs leaped and exploded on Mo Renba's body.
