Chapter 631: The Fall of the Hou (1)

~6 min read 1,108 words

Many Hou warriors lost the courage to resist after seeing the scene where Bishop Tannuo and Niexi Regiment Commander were killed by Yingzhou.

"The prophecy has come true!"

"We are finished!"

"Bishop's energy body... has vanished?"

A Hou warrior wearing an energy amplifier suddenly knelt on the ground, no longer able to sense the energy source representing Bishop Tannuo.

"Niexi's energy signature has hit zero!"

A Hou Captain holding a weapon suddenly turned and ran, shouting loudly as he fled.

"Don't throw your lives away! Retreat! That is the Human from the prophecy!"

Before he could finish, this Hou Captain was struck in the head by a laser beam, falling to the ground with a "thud" and going still.

"They killed the masters!"

A young Hou warrior frantically raised an energy cannon.

"The time to sacrifice for the Hou has..."

Before this Hou warrior could finish, a Kasrkin soldier struck him in the head, and his body fell onto the energy cannon platform, emitting blue smoke.

Over a dozen fleeing Hou warriors were knocked flying by Attila Warhorses, and those further away were gunned down by these Attila warriors using the laser guns in their hands.

"All units retreat! Evacuate this area!"

A four-armed Hou warrior wearing a Commander's armband suddenly cut off his communication device, his four arms covered in rotting flesh tearing open an energy scroll simultaneously.

"Screw glory! I'm going to..."

The portal was shredded by a golden slash the moment it opened; as Yingzhou's sword light swept over his head, four mechanical arms fell neatly into a pool of blood.

This Commander knelt on the ground, looking at his bare shoulders and suddenly bursting into laughter.

"We actually wanted to conquer a race that gives birth to such monsters? The Diviner was right... we are the prey..."

A commotion suddenly came from behind a western bunker, where three soldiers were crawling out with energy bombs wrapped in their tentacles.

"At least take a few Humans with us!"

"Boom!"

The Sword Qi flung out by Yingzhou was faster than their self-detonation; a half-collapsed wall crashed down, burying the dozen soldiers who had intended to die together.

A Hou scout cast an escape spell and instantly left the battlefield, only to collide head-on with a tall Human wearing silver-white armor.

"Hm? An Alien!"

As the silver-white blade pierced his chest, the last image the scout saw was the sky filled with dancing flames, all burning.

"Emperor!"

Dregoen finished off the Alien that had suddenly appeared before him, expertly spun his Heavenly Punishment Demon-Breaking Sword, and hurried to Yingzhou, immediately kneeling on one knee to salute.

"Dregoen, you and Gadelion begin cleaning up the remaining Aliens."

Yingzhou dissipated the Greatsword in his hand, looked at Gadelion who was rushing over, and then said to Dregoen.

"Understood!"

After entering the Bishop Temple, Yingzhou saw the Crystal Pillar standing in the center; many Puppet Hou warriors who had died were returning to their true forms here, swarming to escape, but upon seeing Yingzhou, they all detoured to flee.

"Fleeing? You still want to flee? Didn't you claim to be the superior race? Why are you starting to think about running?"

A Greatsword appeared in Yingzhou's hand, and waves of heat accompanied his slashes as he cut down the Hou energy bodies fleeing outward; every attack claimed the lives of a large group of Hou energy bodies.

Seeing that the Crystal Pillar was still gushing out Hou energy bodies, Yingzhou thrust his Greatsword forward, a searing flame piercing straight through the pillar; the pillar melted instantly, and agonizing wails emanated from within it.

Hearing the wails of these Aliens, Yingzhou narrowed his pale golden pupils and said in a heavy tone.

"This is the revenge of the Humans! Now, who is the superior race?"

Outside the Bishop Temple, Dregoen and Gadelion saw the Aliens who had been fighting the Kasrkin and Attila Barbarian Cavalry suddenly collapse to the ground en masse.

"These Aliens will pay the price for what they have done!"

Dregoen looked at the motionless Alien bodies on the ground and said to Gadelion beside him.

Gadelion put away his Heavenly Punishment Twin Swords, saw the heavy incinerator cannon he had left outside the battlefield, and said to Dregoen.

"You wait here, I'll go grab a weapon and be right back."

"I really envy you, being granted a weapon by the Emperor."

Watching Gadelion's departing back, Dregoen said enviously over the communication channel; just then, Dregoen felt the sound of the sanctuary collapsing behind him, and Yingzhou arrived at his side.

"Dregoen, why are you standing here?"

Yingzhou followed Dregoen's gaze to see Gadelion's back; judging by the situation, Gadelion must have gone to retrieve the heavy incinerator cannon he had swapped out earlier.

"Reporting to the Emperor, Gadelion asked me to wait here for him; he went over there to retrieve a weapon and will be back soon."

At first, Yingzhou didn't catch the meaning, but after a few seconds, he felt as if struck by lightning, and he looked at Dregoen with a complex expression.

Damn it! He had gotten the reference; although it was purely a coincidence, it made Yingzhou feel inexplicably relieved.

Looking at Gadelion's departing back again, it really did seem to have that vibe.

Sensing Yingzhou's gaze, Dregoen saluted Yingzhou and said.

"Emperor, is there anything I can assist you with?"

Yingzhou coughed lightly and shook his head slightly.

"Cough, nothing, nothing. Go command the soldiers to clean up the battlefield."

Yingzhou hurriedly found an excuse to dismiss Dregoen, fearing that the effort of controlling his facial expression would cause internal injury.

This was just a minor interlude; from Yingzhou's forced landing to the end, the battle only took 24 minutes.

The Kasrkin soldiers cleaning the battlefield were checking to see if any Aliens were not quite dead, but until the end, no living Aliens were found.

Yingzhou muttered to himself for no reason.

"It is time to put the matter of returning to the Ninth Defense Zone on the agenda."

Over at the Hertui Deacon Temple.

After he disconnected from the Puppet, Heertui's energy form emerged from his own Temple Crystal Pillar; sensing the intensity of the battle outside, Heertui immediately found a Puppet he had stored in the Temple.

As he controlled the Puppet to arrive at the entrance of the Temple, Heertui saw the Temple's defensive stronghold where the front line was gradually collapsing; a silver-white figure plus six or seven blue-and-white figures were hacking and killing everywhere on the battlefield, and like a Sharp Knife, they were tearing open a larger gap for the Human soldiers behind them.
