Chapter 640: Speculation
Before the bald man could finish speaking, Dalton swung his mechanical arm, striking the bald man across the face and knocking him directly to the ground.
The other two saw this, and before they could act, they saw Sherlock stand up, his two mechanical arms pinning them both to the ground, leaving them unable to move.
"Where did you come from?"
Dalton gripped the bald man's neck with his mechanical arm, his metal fingers sinking into the flesh, and asked in a cold tone.
"Uh... we got separated from our other team, and we happened to see a gap in the wall of this stronghold that we could enter, so we widened the gap and snuck in."
Hearing the bald man's words, Dalton frowned; his stronghold actually had a gap! How had he not known about it before?
Dalton glanced at Sherlock, the two exchanged a look, and then Sherlock said in a hoarse voice.
"Take us to see the gap you mentioned."
The bald man was released from Dalton's grip, and then a mechanical arm quickly dislocated both of the bald man's arms.
"Uh... ah..."
The bald man winced in pain, fine beads of sweat seeping out on his forehead.
"Don't try any tricks, or you will regret your actions!"
The bald man nodded, not saying anything more, and then led Dalton and the others toward the depths of the stronghold.
When Dalton saw the so-called wall gap, his brow immediately furrowed.
The crack at the very top of the wall was very neat, clearly cut by some kind of sharp weapon, and this type of weapon reminded Dalton of those Cyberks.
They had found this place! But why didn't they just wipe out their team right here?
Thinking of this, Dalton suddenly remembered that when they encountered the Cyberks earlier today, he saw that the Cyberks did not pursue them, but instead watched them run away; all these behaviors left Dalton puzzled.
What exactly were these Cyberks up to? Why didn't they just capture them?
Coupled with the alarms that went off every so often, Dalton felt that his group had actually been under the surveillance of the Cyberks the entire time.
Seeing Dalton's expression turn somewhat ugly, Sherlock asked.
"What's wrong? Dalton, did you discover something?"
Brought back to his senses by Sherlock, Dalton shook his head slightly and said.
"Nothing, I just didn't expect this stronghold to have such a hidden danger; it was my negligence that led to the situation becoming like this."
Following this, Dalton looked toward the bearded man and asked.
"How much did they eat?"
"A box and a half."
The bearded man got angry upon hearing this, couldn't help but kick the bald man, and said furiously.
"Damn it! How should we deal with these three guys?"
The youth with hydraulic legs suddenly rushed out from the crowd, kicked the bald man down heavily with his crane-modified iron legs, and said in a low voice.
"You scumbags! We don't even dare to waste like that! You dare!"
After Sherlock restrained the three middle-aged men, he said to the bearded man in a hoarse voice.
"Now is not the time to talk about this; first, distribute today's food rations to our companions. As for these three, I will discuss how to deal with them with Dalton!"
The three men, whose mouths were covered, let out a whimper upon hearing that Sherlock wanted to dispose of them.
"Fine, then I'll go first! F*** you!"
Before leaving, the bearded man kicked the bald man once more, then got up and left.
Once the surrounding people had left, Sherlock said to Dalton.
"Dalton, what did you discover?"
"We might have been living under the surveillance of the Cyberks all along; the initial gap in this wall was cut directly by a sharp weapon.
And the only thing capable of doing that is the Cyberks' High-Frequency Oscillation Blade."
Hearing this news, Sherlock frowned, looked at the three restrained middle-aged men, and said slowly.
"Then do you have any ideas?"
"Leave the three of them here; we can't come to this stronghold anymore, and we will take all the useful supplies from here this time.
Although we have been under the other side's surveillance, it hasn't been confirmed yet, but the fact that this stronghold is exposed is true, so evacuating as soon as possible is the best choice."
Hearing the conversation between Sherlock and Dalton, the three middle-aged men struggled more violently, so Sherlock cleanly and efficiently knocked the three of them unconscious and then said.
"Hmm, let's do that!"
Ninth Defense Zone Military Region.
"Father! We have organized the information regarding the Cyberks.
They only have a small amount of human characteristics in their bodies, while the rest is composed of a hard material, and we found this inside their corpses."
Horus said, taking out a red energy block; the red energy block emitted a wave of energy, and the energy contained within it was even denser than the energy blocks previously taken from the crystal death servants.
Taking the energy block, Yingzhou examined it for a few seconds before slowly saying.
"I didn't expect this Cyberk's energy composition to be so high! This energy block doesn't look like their primary energy, but rather an energy block used in special circumstances."
This was because Yingzhou had previously obtained intelligence on the Cyberks fighting the Elemental Alien Race.
According to the current situation, the Elemental Alien Race should have been eliminated by the Cyberks and integrated into their daily production.
"By the way, I obtained some intelligence in the Sixth Defense Zone this time, but I always feel that this intelligence is a bit strange; connect the communication with Angron and Vulkan, and let them hear this intelligence too."
"Yes! Father!"
Soon, the projections of Angron and Vulkan appeared in the office, and upon seeing Yingzhou, they spoke simultaneously.
"Father!"
After a few simple pleasantries, Yingzhou stated the intelligence he had obtained in the Sixth Defense Zone; watching the three men's solemn expressions, Yingzhou was not in a hurry, merely sitting in his chair and waiting patiently.
"So, the Beast Alien I captured on my side earlier, was he also talking about a game?"
Yingzhou nodded, took a light sip of tea from his cup, and said.
"This is only my speculation; at the time, that Beast Race Priest did not reveal much useful information before being erased."
"And this time, after the Councilor of the Sixth Defense Zone provided only limited intelligence, a powerful force suddenly intervened, and subsequent intelligence became unknown."
"Therefore, everything that we Humans are currently experiencing is, in the eyes of those Aliens, nothing more than a game!"
Angron tapped his index finger knuckle lightly against the desk and said in a low tone.
"This is also what I currently consider to be a relatively reasonable explanation."
