Chapter 705: Destroying the Demon Magic Array (2)

Dabeiwenqiao's pupils constricted; combat instinct made him dodge instantly, the scorching sword wind grazing his helmet and leaving a scorch mark.

He rose quickly, the Heavenly Punishment Halberd backhand-stabbing toward the Demon General's knee joint, attempting to disrupt its balance.

"Stop him! Protect the Magic Array core!"

Kazake roared, and the Demon guards beside it recovered from their initial shock, emitting bloodthirsty battle cries and lunging forward while brandishing their weapons!

The remaining Demon sorcerers also endured the pain of backlash, attempting to re-condense shields and filthy spells!

Taigehe'er became the primary target!

Several Demon guards and two Demon sorcerers who had caught their breath fired filthy Black Qi projectiles and corrosive rays at him!

Taigehe'er let out a cold snort; the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd in his hand did not stop channeling Psionic energy to bombard the teetering Magic Array, but the Psionic Shield on the surface of his Holy Shield Power Armor lit up instantly, forming a Psionic Barrier!

Bang! Sizzle!

The incoming Hellfire fireballs and corrosive rays collided with the Psionic Barrier and were rapidly annihilated by it!

However, the impact also caused Taigehe'er's figure to sway slightly, and the Psychic Storm continuously bombarding the Magic Array also showed a flicker of instability.

Meanwhile, the battle between Dabeiwenqiao and Kazake became even more ferocious!

Kazake's strength and speed were extremely terrifying; its burning Greatsword carried trails of afterimages, chopping, slashing, sweeping, and smashing—the offensive was extremely sharp!

Facing Kazake's offensive, Dabeiwenqiao's Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd blocked and stabbed by turns; silver-blue Psionic Arcs exploded on the Demon General's thick, blasphemous armor, leaving charred marks and faint cracks, yet failing to break the defense immediately!

"Bug! Your tricks cannot hurt me!"

Kazake sneered, a heavy downward chop forcing Dabeiwenqiao to block again; the immense force caused the ground beneath Dabeiwenqiao to crack and sink!

Just then, Taigehe'er temporarily ceased his continuous bombardment of the Magic Array, the tip of the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd instantly turning toward the Demon General suppressing Dabeiwenqiao!

Sizzle! Several chains of Psionic Lightning shot out from the tip of the Heavenly Punishment Halberd, the Psionic Lightning entangling Kazake's sword-wielding arm and leg joints!

"Ugh—!"

Kazake let out a painful roar! The purifying Psionic energy burned its body, its movements instantly stiffening and paralyzing!

The battle with Dabeiwenqiao had already been strenuous for it, but it never expected that those trash could not even stop that one Human, and that it would actually be ambushed!

Fatal strike!

In the instant Kazake's movements stiffened, Dabeiwenqiao's Holy Shield Power Armor erupted with full force; he ducked to avoid the Demon General's sluggish back-sweep caused by paralysis, the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd wreathed in long-accumulated silver-blue Psionic energy, performing a thrust from bottom to top, infused with all his strength and Psionic energy!

"No—!!!"

Kazake let out a roar of unwillingness.

Puchi!

The Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd precisely stabbed into the weak gap of Kazake's neck armor!

Powerful purifying Psionic energy surged madly along the halberd blade into the Demon General's body!

"Ugh—!!!"

Kazake let out an earth-shattering howl, its massive body twitching violently.

The Hellfire Greatsword slipped from its hand and fell.

Silver-blue Psionic energy gushed out from its eye sockets, mouth, and nose, clashing violently with and annihilating the filthy Demon energy within its body!

It tried to grab the halberd shaft with its Claws, but its strength faded rapidly under the scouring of the holy energy.

Dabeiwenqiao's arm muscles bulged, and he roared as he twisted the halberd blade fiercely!

Boom!

Kazake's twisted sheep-bone skull, along with a small portion of its shoulder, exploded completely amidst the internally erupting purifying Psionic energy!

Filthy Demon blood and Broken Bone fragments splattered everywhere, immediately swallowed by the surrounding raging Hellfire.

The headless, massive body swayed, collapsed to the ground with a thud, and was quickly engulfed by the churning green flames, becoming part of the chaotic sea of fire in the Furnace District.

Having cleared the greatest obstacle, Taigehe'er's Heavenly Punishment Halberd was raised high again, pointing at the Magic Array core that remained only as a blurred outline yet was still putting up a desperate struggle!

"End the blasphemy! Psychic Storm, maximum power!"

Silver-blue thunder, thicker and more dazzling than before, crashed down!

Sizzle—Pop!

That residual phantom of the Painful Face Magic Array, along with the last few filthy energy conduits connecting the Furnace to the Magic Array below, completely disintegrated and dissipated into nothingness under the scouring of pure Psionic energy!

Out of Control and liberation!

Inside the Furnace, those bound and burning phantom souls emitted a final, piercing wail that penetrated the soul, but in this wail, did it seem to contain a sigh of liberation?

The entire Furnace District fell into a chaotic sea of fire, with scorching heat waves and collapsing structural fragments splashing everywhere.

Taigehe'er and Dabeiwenqiao stood at the edge of the flames and collapse, the Holy Shield Power Armor flowing with silver-gray and golden-red luster under the reflection of the fire.

The silver-blue arcs on the tip of the Heavenly Punishment Demon-Cleaving Halberd still leaped, vigilantly scanning the remaining Demons wailing and fleeing in the sea of fire.

"Blasphemous core destroyed. Target purification complete."

Taigehe'er's voice sounded in the channel.

Dabeiwenqiao nodded slightly, his gaze cast toward the gradually calming light of souls deep within the Furnace.

"The filth has been cleansed, the souls may rest in peace. May the Emperor protect your souls."

Before the words had faded, Dabeiwenqiao felt a Psionic fluctuation appear in the sky that was even stronger than before.

"It is you Humans again! To actually destroy the Furnace Magic Array! You simply do not put me in your eyes! Go to hell!"

The moment Hudaiqiao returned to the Second Defense Zone, it sensed that the Furnace Magic Array in the Second Defense Zone had been destroyed; ignoring the Human soldiers currently engaged with Demons, Hudaiqiao immediately rushed to the location where the Furnace Magic Array had been destroyed.

Seeing Dabeiwenqiao and Taigehe'er, Hudaiqiao only felt a surge of anger in its heart.

It is these Humans again! How are they everywhere!

Hudaiqiao's right claw grabbed fiercely toward the sky!

Whoosh—!

A torrent of filthy Demon power was forcibly extracted from the churning Magic Cloud and infused into Hudaiqiao's body!

Under the scouring of the surging magic power, Hudaiqiao's entire body swelled by a circle, and the black flames entwined around him rose dozens of meters high, emitting a terrifyingly high temperature!

Power!

Unprecedented power surged within his body!

This brief enhancement brought about by extracting the core power of the Magic Cloud made him feel as if he had almost returned to his prime!

"Die!"

Without any fancy techniques, Hudaiqiao brought the five fingers of his left hand together like a blade and fiercely slashed twice through the air toward Taigehe'er and Dabeiwenqiao below!

Sshhh-la—!

Two massive crescent-shaped slashes, composed purely of black flames concentrated to the extreme, tore through the air, carrying a scorching heat that burned the soul, as they slashed toward the two Grey Knights, one to the left and one to the right!

Wherever the slashes passed, two deep trenches were plowed into the ground!
