Chapter 782: Entering the Giant Weapon Factory (1)
Hiss— Sizzle!!!
The Psionic Greatsword cut into the thick alloy wall without any resistance.
The cut instantly turned crimson, and the molten metal hissed and emitted acrid blue smoke!
One slash! Two slashes! Three slashes!
Yingzhou's movements were as fast as lightning, and the Psionic Greatsword felt light as nothing in his hands.
With just three slashes, a huge "doorway" large enough for several people to pass through side-by-side appeared abruptly on the thick city wall.
The edges were irregular, dark-red metal fractures that had been melted and then rapidly cooled, radiating scorching heat and an acrid odor.
"Move!"
Yingzhou dissipated the Psionic Greatsword and was the first to step through the opening that was still steaming.
Sanguinius followed immediately behind, vigilantly guarding Yingzhou.
Selina followed without hesitation.
Sherlock and Dalton looked at the terrifying hole still dripping with liquid metal, then looked at the engine sounds of the reinforcements getting closer behind them and the light of the turrets that had begun to recharge, and just as they were about to dive in themselves, they were grabbed by Corax, one in each hand, and hauled up again!
"Eh?!!"
Passing through the opening, a completely different atmosphere rushed toward them.
Outside was a filthy, chaotic junkyard full of decay and the smell of metal rust.
But inside, it was much tidier than outside.
The huge space was extremely empty, and the floor was made of smooth, cold-glowing alloy, spotless.
The towering dome was supported by sturdy metal structures, from which bright lighting equipment emitting constant white light hung.
The air was strictly filtered, carrying a cold, inorganic scent like disinfectant, with not a trace of blood or gunpowder to be smelled.
This was clearly some kind of huge passage or assembly area on the periphery of the Giant Weapon Factory; in the distance, some massive, unassembled giant mechanical parts could be seen hanging on tracks, moving silently.
Further away, the outline of the main factory could be vaguely seen, from which a low, rhythmic mechanical roar emanated.
However, this space was currently shrouded in piercing red alarm lights!
The red rotating lights bathed the smooth floor in blood-red!
"Warning! Illegal intrusion! Execute clearance protocol!"
"Warning! Illegal intrusion! Execute clearance protocol!"
The electronic synthesized voice echoed in the empty space.
Just ahead of them and at the ends of several wide passages on the flanks, heavy alloy gates were rumbling open!
From behind the gates poured out elite Cyberk infantry, better equipped and acting with more coordinated unity!
Their uniform Standard Energy Rifles flickered with the cold light of charging, and they moved quickly and orderly to surround the intruders.
Their numbers far exceeded any previous encounter!
Even more heart-stopping was that mixed in among these infantry groups were several massive four-legged combat mechs equipped with Heavy Energy Cannons and rotary machine guns, as well as some spherical combat units floating in mid-air with multiple weapon platforms!
"My god... so... so many!"
Sherlock's voice carried a trembling of despair; he had never faced such a scale of the main Cyberk force at such close range and in such an open space.
Dalton held his toolbox tightly, his knuckles turning white; the scene before him made him feel a wave of dizziness.
Sanguinius gripped his Power Spear, the light on his wings becoming even more intense.
"Father! The Alien main force!"
Selina scanned the surging enemies quickly, data streams refreshing in her pupils.
"Enemy unit count surging, threat level: extremely high.
Detected a larger energy source approaching from the rear passage, presumed to be a heavy unit or Command Node."
She turned to Yingzhou, her voice still calm but carrying an unquestionable urgency.
"Yingzhou, the enemy is executing an encirclement and annihilation protocol. Suggest finding cover or breaking through a weak point immediately, otherwise, we will be caught in all-around fire coverage within thirty seconds."
The limbs of the four-legged "Crusher" Cyberk soldiers made dull, loud thuds as they stepped on the floor, and the rotary machine guns on their shoulders began to warm up, emitting a low hum.
The multiple weapon platforms of the floating "Swarm" turrets locked onto the intruders.
"Father! Let us tear them apart!"
Sanguinius carried intense battle intent, the light of his wings almost piercing the scarlet alarm lights.
Corax's gaze looked toward Yingzhou, waiting for Yingzhou's order.
Yingzhou's expression did not waver in the slightest; his pale golden pupils swept over the surging Cyberk soldiers and finally settled on the rear passage indicated by Selina, where the massive energy source was approaching.
Then, Yingzhou said in a calm tone.
"Then let them witness what the wrath of Humanity is."
Before the words had faded, the space around Yingzhou began to distort.
Two massive sensations of pressure descended out of thin air.
Boom! Boom!
The heavy sound of metal impacting shook the entire area.
Sherlock and Dalton, being carried by Corax, felt a violent jolt beneath their feet and were almost thrown away!
They opened their eyes in terror, only to see that in the space in front of Yingzhou, which had originally been occupied by Cyberk soldiers, two... mountains had appeared out of thin air!
Two huge shadows instantly occupied a large portion of the space ahead!
Two Warhound-class Titans appeared behind Yingzhou, kicking up a gust of air.
"For the Emperor! For the Omnissiah! Purge the Alien!"
The captains of the two Warhound-class Titans issued their battle cries through loudspeakers.
Their massive bodies did not appear crowded in the huge space, but the destructive might they possessed was enough to make any enemy tremble.
Sherlock and Dalton felt their knees go weak, and a chill shot straight from the soles of their feet to the tops of their heads.
This... is this really power that a Human can possess? Or is it... divine punishment?!
Sherlock's mouth opened unconsciously, but he could not make a sound.
All his past experience struggling to survive in the scrap heap, all his understanding of "power," was completely shattered before these two walking Steel gods!
This is no longer reinforcements; this is a heavenly army descended from the sky!
Dalton was even more completely stunned.
The toolbox in his arms fell to the ground with a clang, and the crude tools inside scattered everywhere.
He stared fixedly at the Titan's precise joint structures, heavy armor plates, and the giant cannons radiating destructive energy, his eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.
This technology... this craftsmanship... this energy level... completely exceeded the boundaries of his cognition!
Following closely behind the Titan were two more figures shining with golden light!
They were clad in magnificent Golden Power Armor, with ancient Runes engraved on the armor, shimmering with a faint glow.
In their hands, they held Guardian Spears with Disruption Fields coiled around the spear tips.
"My Lord!" The two Adeptus Custodes knelt on one knee to salute, their voices low like thunder.
Yingzhou nodded slightly, his gaze passing over them and casting toward the passage occupied by the Steel torrent of the Cyberk.
At the same time the Titan and Adeptus Custodes appeared, countless Death Korps of Krieg soldiers wearing gas masks, clad in heavy greatcoats, and carrying packs appeared at the hole in the city wall behind Yingzhou!
They were terrifyingly silent, with only the sound of heavy leather boots hitting the ground merging into one.
The Lucius Pattern 98 Lasguns, Stubbers, and Meltaguns in their hands were raised instantly; there were no shouts, no hesitation, only a cold will to kill.
