Chapter 808: Yingzhou Liberates the All-Humanity Star Alliance (1)

~7 min read 1,373 words

"Angron, eat more! With a build like yours, your consumption is high!"

Mother Ying scooped a large ladle of stewed meat and poured it directly into the oversized bowl, comparable to a basin, that had been specially prepared for Angron.

"This meat is stewed until tender, and it's flavorful! And this flatbread, eat more!"

"Thank you, Grandmother, I can help myself..."

Angron looked at the bowl piled into a small mountain, warmth flowing in his eyes; he picked up a piece of flatbread, rolled up a large chunk of meat, stuffed it into his mouth, and began to chew heartily.

"Perturabo, you should try this dish too, it's very fresh."

Mother Ying served another large ladle of emerald green vegetables and placed them into the bowl in front of Perturabo.

The muscles in Perturabo's face twitched slightly; he just nodded extremely faintly, picked up the vegetables with his chopsticks, and placed them into his mouth to chew.

Throughout the meal, Perturabo made no unnecessary movements and did not participate in any conversation, simply eating silently and occasionally raising his eyes to scan the surroundings.

"Brother Perturabo, do you not like eating meat?"

Yingxin looked curiously at his bowl, which was almost entirely vegetables, and couldn't help but ask.

Perturabo's movements paused for a fraction of a second; his gaze turned toward Yingxin, the muscles at the corners of his mouth twitched upward, and his voice lowered just a little.

"Efficiency. Vegetables provide necessary vitamins and fiber, sufficient."

"Oh..."

Yingxin seemed to understand but not quite, and turned her head to pester Sanguinius again.

"Brother Sanguinius, do angels eat flatbread too?"

Sanguinius chuckled and tapped her little nose with his slender fingers.

"Of course I do, and the flatbread Grandmother makes is especially fragrant."

He elegantly tore off a small piece of flatbread, dipped it in some soup, and fed it to Yingxin.

"Grandmother, here, the soup."

Jaghatai stood up nimbly and took an empty bowl from Mother Ying's hands.

"Angron, has there been any situation in the Outer City recently?"

Yingzhou asked casually. Angron swallowed the food in his mouth and answered.

"Yes, just as in the initial plan, after the order of the residents' lives stabilized, efficiency has improved quite a bit; even if there are some minor problems, they can be solved."

"Life is already much better now than it was before, don't put too much pressure on yourself."

Mother Ying interjected, then her gaze turned to Sanguinius.

"Sanguinius, the Fourth Defense Zone... once you go, you must take good care of yourself."

"Rest assured, Grandmother."

Sanguinius replied gently.

Perturabo ate silently, listening to his family's conversation.

When Mother Ying tried to serve him a piece of meat once more, he raised his hand and made an extremely slight gesture of refusal.

"Grandmother, nutritional intake is already balanced. Excessive protein is of no benefit."

Mother Ying was stunned for a moment, then laughed.

"Alright, alright, you child, you're so particular! Then eat more vegetables, eat more vegetables!"

Yingxin's little face was almost buried in her bowl, her cheeks bulging, and her greasy little hands were clutching half a piece of griddle-baked bread.

She mumbled indistinctly.

"Brother Sanguinius... bread... needs to be dipped in soup!"

Sanguinius picked up a new piece of griddle-baked bread, carefully tore it into bite-sized pieces, soaked them thoroughly in the warm vegetable soup, and only then gently placed them on the plate in front of Yingxin.

Yingzhou held half a bowl of soup in his hand.

Looking at the heartwarming scene before him, his heart relaxed slightly.

The night wind blew by, bringing a trace of coolness.

The soup in the pot was still bubbling slightly; Yingxin let out a small, satisfied burp, leaned against Sanguinius's arm, and her eyelids began to fight each other.

Perturabo watched Yingxin, whose eyes were fighting to stay open, the corners of his mouth twitching from time to time.

Yingzhou lowered his head and took a sip of the warm soup in his bowl.

It was a very ordinary taste, the saltiness just right, carrying the light sweetness of the vegetables.

He put down the bowl, his gaze sweeping once more over these figures at the table, each with different outlines in the warm yellow glow yet closely connected.

Every time he saw a scene like this, he couldn't help but use the camera function on the communication device on his wrist to take a photo as a memento.

As the image froze, a smile also appeared at the corners of Yingzhou's mouth.

The seventh day after confirming the end of the war, at high noon.

The First Defense Zone, the Fourth Defense Zone, and the Ninth Defense Zone—all operating public screens, large projectors in the squares, and even information panels in factory workshops lit up at the same time.

After a brief flicker of static, Yingzhou's figure appeared clearly on every screen.

He stood in a simple but solemn room, with the Golden Double-Headed Eagle Emblem and a golden double-tool emblem in the background.

The entire planet pressed the mute button at this moment.

Pedestrians hurrying on the streets stopped their steps.

Beside the roaring machines in the factories, workers took off their goggles.

On the ridges of the fields in the Planting Zone, people who had been bent over working straightened their backs.

Children playing in the residential area squares were also pulled over by adults to look at the screens.

Yingzhou's voice, through every loudspeaker, spread to every corner of the three major defense zones.

"Compatriots of the First Defense Zone, the Fourth Defense Zone, and the Ninth Defense Zone."

"Seven days ago, we won the final victory against the Cyberk Alien, completely driving the shadow of oppression and death away from our home!"

At the appropriate moment, the screen flashed brief footage of the First Defense Zone Center Building falling and Cyberk soldiers collapsing in droves.

"The wounds of war need to be healed, and shattered homes need to be rebuilt.

But more importantly, all of us Humans who have survived under the iron hooves of the Alien, fought side by side, and yearned for freedom and dignity need a common home, a solid cornerstone to carry the hope of our future!"

"Therefore, at this moment, in the name of Humanity, I officially declare—"

Yingzhou's voice rose sharply, and a pale golden light flashed in his pupils.

"'Xiuluosheng Liberation of All Humanity Star Alliance' is, as of today, officially established!"

"This Star Alliance is the common home and banner for all compatriots who fight for Human freedom and struggle for the dignity of survival!

It will integrate all our strength, wisdom, and resources, focusing on three things: rebuilding shattered homes! Safeguarding hard-won peace and freedom! Liberating more Human compatriots in the sea of stars who share our experiences!"

"Under the Star Alliance, the three major defense zones will make no distinction between each other, sharing resources and helping one another, marching together toward a bright future! The glory of Humanity will protect every step the Star Alliance takes!"

"Let us join hands and hearts, for our homes! For freedom! For the glory of Humanity!"

Yingzhou had thought for a long time about the name of the newly established regime.

The first thing that flashed through his mind was the most direct and powerful one—"Xiuluosheng Imperium."

Simple, powerful, fitting his status as Emperor, and sufficient to intimidate potential enemies.

Imperium... this word, in his own understanding, carried too much complex weight.

The word "Imperium" often implies absolute authority perched at the top, implies strict hierarchy and endless extraction, and implies the insignificance and powerlessness of the individual in the face of a massive machine.

His goal had never been to build an Imperium machine that stood high above and ruled over all people.

He was the Emperor, but even more so, he was a Guardian and a liberator.

He came from the masses and knew well what kind of suffering the people on this land had endured to win the right to survive.

What they needed was not a new "Imperium," even one nominally belonging to Humans, to replace the old Alien shackles, but a home that truly belonged to them, representing their common interests and future hope.
