Longyou Shuangzixing, Mi-You Star, Liuli City, the corridor leading from the top-level platform to the Jingsishi.

Ornate crystal light fixtures lay shattered on the ground, and the walls were scarred with charred impact craters and cracks.

Blood Angels Sergeant Faliusi warned over the communication channel.

As he spoke, the muzzle of the Bolter in his hand shifted slightly, aiming at the corner at the end of the corridor ahead.

Just as they rounded the corner,

several deep blue energy beams shot out from behind the corner.

The beams grazed the muzzle of the lead Blood Angels Space Marine's Bolter, melting several fist-sized holes through a metal statue behind him; molten metal droplets splattered onto the floor, hissing.

Faliusi let out a low roar, and the squad members took cover behind the shattered decorative pillars and overturned furniture on both sides of the corridor.

More energy beams and heavy live ammunition flew in, suppressing their path of advance.

At the critical moment, another Blood Angels Space Marine shoved Bulutusi!

The plasma beam grazed past Bulutusi's shoulder pad, melting a large hole in the wall behind him!

"Focus!"

This Blood Angels Space Marine responded briefly, simultaneously returning fire at the opponent with his Plasma Gun, forcing the ambusher back.

A Blood Angels Space Marine, Dekasi, was already locked in close-quarters combat with two Shadow soldiers.

The Shadow soldier's Energy Shield flickered, blocking the bolt, but the impact forced him to retreat half a step.

Dekasi seized the opportunity to swing his Chainsword, sawing off the first Shadow soldier's arm!

But the armless soldier lunged forward, pulling out a high-heat grenade with his other hand!

"Dekasi! Grenade!"
