Chapter 927: Fengrao Starport (4)

Suo'er then turned to Lieutenant Colonel Kalike and that intelligence officer, issuing orders.

"Lieutenant Colonel Kalike, immediately initiate Level 3 combat readiness for the starport! All military personnel are to cancel leave and return to their posts immediately! The patrol fleet is to tighten its defensive line and strengthen security around the starport! Order all garrison fleet commanders and ground force commanders to report to the combat command center within one hour!"

"Yes, General!"

Suo'er then said to the intelligence officer.

"Captain, send all received intelligence, including raw signal data, to the combat command center and the analysis department immediately. Activate all long-range detection arrays and scan the border of the Seventh Star Sector, especially for abnormal spatial activity near the direction of the Canaan Star Alliance! I want to know exactly what has happened, who the enemy is, and how large they are!"

"Understood, General!"

The music in the reception hall stopped at some point, and the musicians stood in place, at a loss.

All the guests noticed the unusual movement on General Suo'er's side.

Suo'er turned to Ms. Aolana and Academician Tuowake, making a "please" gesture.

"Ms. Aolana, Academician Tuowake, the situation is urgent, and I am afraid the reception cannot continue. I implore you both to move to my combat command center. We need to share intelligence immediately and discuss countermeasures. This incident likely concerns more than just the Southern Theater of the Fengqi Star Alliance."

Ms. Aolana nodded and replied.

"Of course, General. The Daikong Star Alliance shares honor and disgrace with the Fengqi Star Alliance. If this is a new round of provocation by the Canaanites, we must respond together. As you thought, if they are truly foolish enough to challenge our two great star alliances simultaneously, then this will be an excellent opportunity for us to deliver a fatal blow. But the prerequisite is that we must first figure out what they are actually trying to do, and... how they managed to be so swift and secretive."

Suo'er nodded.

Yes, that is exactly where the suspicious part lies. Why would the Canaan Star Alliance take such a huge strategic risk? What means did they use to achieve such a near-lightning raid? Is there a greater conspiracy hidden behind this?

Just as General Suo'er led Ms. Aolana and Academician Tuowake out of the "Star Dome" reception hall, a piercing alarm sounded.

"All combat personnel to your stations! All non-combat personnel proceed to designated shelters immediately! Repeat, this is not a drill!"

"It seems the enemy's movements are even faster than we imagined!"

General Suo'er's pace quickened significantly as he continued.

"Direct threat alert... could that fleet have already arrived near Fengrao Starport?"

The three arrived at the combat command center, which was protected by multiple layers of heavy armor and energy fields.

In the center of the command center was a massive holographic star map, currently displaying the local star region of the Seventh Star Sector centered on Fengrao Starport.

Seeing Suo'er enter, Kalike immediately stepped forward to report.

"General! The situation has deteriorated rapidly! We have lost all contact with three outer patrol fleets! The last signals received indicate that they were ambushed by overwhelming firepower at the same time! The attacks came from multiple directions, and the enemy ship identification signals... cannot match any known forces in the database!"

Kalike paused and continued.

"The enemy fleet size is estimated to exceed one hundred and fifty ships! Their trajectory is straight, and their target is clear: Fengrao Starport! Estimated time of first contact... less than forty standard minutes!"

Forty minutes!

Suo'er's brow furrowed tightly.

One hundred and fifty ships; this is a powerful strike force capable of destroying the core hub of a star sector.

Moreover, the opponent clearly possesses accurate intelligence and powerful combat capabilities.

"Unable to identify?"

General Suo'er walked to the star map, looking at the number of enemy ships on it.

"We are very familiar with the fleet characteristics of the Canaan Star Alliance; even if they used new models, it would be impossible to be completely unidentifiable!"

"The technical department is working at full capacity to analyze the jump traces, but there are no matching results at present."

Ms. Aolana and Academician Tuowake also walked to the side of the star map.

Aolana spoke up.

"General Suo'er, the power of this fleet is enough to conquer a well-defended star sector core in a short time. If they can easily break through the perimeter and their identities are a mystery... this does not fit the consistent combat style of the Canaan Star Alliance."

Academician Tuowake added, his fingers sliding rapidly across his personal data pad.

"Judging from the energy reaction patterns and the intensity of the jump interference fields, the technological level of this fleet... may exceed the existing technology of the Canaan Star Alliance in certain aspects."

Not the Canaan Star Alliance?

This possibility made Suo'er even more uneasy.

Why would a force with powerful military strength and advanced technology suddenly launch a full-scale offensive against the Southern Theater of the Fengqi Star Alliance?

"Regardless of who they are or what their purpose is, the top priority is to hold the starport! Lieutenant Colonel Kalike!"

"Here!"

"Order the First and Third Defense Fleets to move out immediately and establish a blocking position in the Chaomo Asteroid Belt! Use the terrain advantage to delay the enemy's advance! The Second and Fourth Fleets are to form a defensive net in the starport's near-defense orbit; all orbital batteries and missile arrays are to charge and stand by! Activate the 'Firm Wall' planetary-level energy shield system, prioritizing the protection of the core area and the Energy Center!"

"Yes!"

Suo'er then ordered the Communications Officer.

"Send a Highest Priority alert to the Southern Theater Headquarters! Report that we have encountered an unidentified large-scale fleet attack and request support from all available forces in surrounding star sectors! At the same time, attempt to make contact with Sanpimu Star, the Longyou Shuangzixing, and other lost-contact areas; capture even the weakest signals!"

Inside the command center, Suo'er's orders were executed rapidly.

On the star map, the two blue arrows representing the defensive forces of Fengrao Starport began to move forward, meeting the red fleet.

Around the starport, ships moved into defensive positions and defense platform turrets were activated.

Just then, General Suo'er's personal encrypted communication device lit up.

Suo'er immediately walked to a soundproof communication booth and connected the signal.

The face of General Gelan appeared in the holographic projection.

"Suo'er! The Southern Theater Headquarters is already aware of the situation in the Seventh Star Sector! The fall of Sanpimu Star and your report of being attacked arrived almost simultaneously!"

"Sir, the attackers' identities are unknown, the fleet size is massive, and their technological level may be very high. We are organizing a defense, but the situation is not optimistic."

Gelan's projection shook his head and said.

"The identity has been preliminarily confirmed! It is not those old rivals from Canaan! It is the 'Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance'!"

Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance? Suo'er quickly searched his memory bank; this was a relatively unfamiliar name. He only vaguely remembered that it was a very closed and mysterious star alliance located on the edge of known space, which rarely interacted with other forces; information about them was extremely scarce. How could they suddenly appear here and launch such a fierce attack?
