Chapter 930: Alarm at Fengrao Starport (3)

Inside the bridge of the Dingding Hao, Kashika walked to the main observation window, looking at the silent sea of rubble outside.

A Fengqi captain reported to Kashika.

"Commander, all ships have entered their positions. Defensive formation deployment is eighty percent complete. Engineering teams are laying passive sensors and seismic wave detectors on key asteroids."

"Very good. Tell the lads to hurry. The enemy won't give us many chances to prepare."

Kashika recalled the final intelligence received before leaving the Starport.

Patrol fleet lost contact, enemy scale over one hundred ships, identity unknown... "Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance," a name never heard before.

How could such a force suddenly emerge in the Seventh Star Sector?

"Commander, the long-range array has detected abnormal spatial fluctuations! The distance... is very close! The fluctuation signature is intense, the quantity... is very large!"

It's here!

Kashika quickly returned to the command chair and looked at the main tactical star map.

Large swaths of red light dots were emerging at the edge of the star map.

"Signal confirmed! Not our identification code! Enemy ship identity confirmed! Energy fluctuations... cannot match! No records in the database!"

"Optical sensors to maximum magnification! I want to see what they look like!"

Kashika ordered.

On the main screen, the image was magnified and stabilized.

"What the hell is this..."

The Adjutant Lieutenant could not help but exclaim in a low voice.

When the camera focused on the bow of a ship suspected to be the enemy flagship, Kashika frowned.

It was a Double-Headed Eagle Emblem!

Double-Headed Eagle...

The Fengqi Star Alliance had no record of such a mark, nor did the Canaan Star Alliance, the Daikong Star Alliance, or any other known interstellar civilization; none had ever seen a symbol similar to this.

This, then, is the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance?

Is this the force with the Double-Headed Eagle Emblem that destroyed the patrol fleet, captured Sanpimu Star, and is now at our gates?

This emblem, the style of these ships, all exuded an aura completely incompatible with known star sector civilizations.

Where do they come from? What do they fight for?

"Sir! The enemy fleet has begun to deploy into attack formation! Energy readings are rising sharply! They... they are going to fire!"

Those ships bearing the Double-Headed Eagle Emblem began to adjust their posture.

The muzzles at the bows of those ships began to gather energy.

No more hesitation!

No matter who they are, where they come from, or what their purpose is, at this moment, they are the enemy—the enemy threatening Fengrao Starport and the Seventh Star Sector!

Kashika's voice was transmitted through the fleet broadcast channel to every ship in the First and Third Sub-fleets.

"All units, attention! The enemy has appeared! Confirmed as the target, Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance fleet!

All ships! Highest combat alert! Weapon systems unlocked! Target locked on the enemy ships ahead! For Fengrao Starport! For the Fengqi Star Alliance! Fire!"

Following his order, the massive hull of the Dingding Hao cruiser vibrated slightly, and dozens of large Laser Cannons on the broadside spat out energy beams, firing at the distant Double-Headed Eagle fleet!

At the same time, the destroyers deployed in the front and the frigates on the flanks also opened fire.

In an instant, the Chaomo Asteroid Belt was lit up by countless energy beams and missile trajectories!

Horus Fleet.

Horus looked at the target marked "Fengrao Starport" on the navigation star map, his expression calm.

"Father."

Luoke walked behind Horus and saluted.

Horus did not turn his head, only nodding slightly to signal him to continue.

Luoke reported.

"Just received encrypted communications from other legions. Lord Sanguinius and his Blood Angels have completely controlled the orbit and main settlements of Longyou Shuangzixing.

Lord Corax's Raven Guard's clearing operation on Shadow Star is also going smoothly; all potential threats have been eliminated.

Lord Mortarion's Death Guard and Lord Lai'en Aier Zhuangsen's Dark Angels conducted a joint operation; the defense system of Sanpimu Star collapsed in the first round of strikes, the main resistance nodes on the surface have been purged, and the occupation is proceeding in an orderly manner."

A subtle arc curled at the corner of Horus's mouth.

Everything was according to plan, even smoother than expected.

"Very good. Tell my brothers to consolidate their gains and establish forward bases. The Seventh Star Sector of the Fengqi Star Alliance will soon be incorporated into the territory of the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance."

Horus's gaze returned to Fengrao Starport on the star map.

This is the core hub of the Seventh Star Sector; knock it out, and the Seventh Star Sector will have its gates thrown wide open, making the subsequent liberation cause twice as effective with half the effort.

He could imagine that when the glory of the Emperor finally shines on every corner of this star sector, the human race will become even more powerful.

Luoke continued.

"Father, the vanguard reconnaissance ships report that Fengrao Starport has entered the highest state of combat readiness. Its outer patrol fleet has been easily swept away by our vanguard. Currently, a defensive fleet of about forty ships has set up defenses in the asteroid belt ahead, attempting to obstruct our advance."

"Swept away?"

Horus repeated the word, recalling the battle scenes from not long ago.

Those few Fengqi Star Alliance patrol ships that dared to approach for reconnaissance.

In the face of the overwhelming firepower of the joint vanguard fleet of the Luna Wolves and Iron Warriors, they became cosmic dust.

A single volley from the fleet's Light Lance array tore through the shields and armor of the lead reconnaissance ship.

Torpedoes flew toward the remaining targets, with explosions following one after another.

Those Alien ships attempted to maneuver and return fire, but their weapons hitting the Void Shields of the Imperium ships could only stir up ripples.

In just a few minutes, the patrol fleet turned into metal wreckage scattered across the shipping lane.

This is the consequence of opposing the Xiuluo Holy Star Alliance.

"Yes, Father. Insignificant resistance."

Horus nodded.

He was not at all surprised by the outcome of this small-scale battle.

The Emperor's fleet, especially the fleet led by the Astartes legions, possessed combat power far beyond what these Alien could compare to.

Whether it was ship firepower, armor protection, tactical proficiency, or the will of the warriors, there existed a generational advantage.
