While they were eating, the family only talked about banalities. Even though everyone somewhat knew of what was happening in New Drennor, even less on what was happening in Rendindura, they were all still aware that something dangerous was in the future for both Anton and Anders, and no one wanted to ruin the short family reunion with anything negative.

Soon, the time arrived for Anders to return to New Drennor and for Anna to return to the magic academy. Once his family members left, Anton threw himself into his work. He wanted to provide his captain a large number of Tablets of Survival spells, especially if his items could truly help some of the wizards that were part of the army that would attack Nizgeroth, to survive.

Anton worked nonstop until the day arrived that Captain Joraniah called him to return to Nermador.

When he arrived at Team Gorvin’s home base, he was told by a servant that everyone was already at the meeting hall. There were two days left before the scheduled departure of the attacking army to Nizgeroth.

In the meeting room, Captain Joraniah informed everyone that they would leave to join the army in a few hours. The captain told them that everyone would journey to the location where the dimensional gate was established, a few hours away from Nizgeroth. The gates from either side were guarded by a huge number of powerful wizards, including tens of Semi-Divine and Divine Rank wizards. Still, the attacks on the gates by the Undead Coalition were relentless.

Even though they would join the army, Team Gorvin would still function as a team. Their main priority was to guard each other’s backs. Their target was the undead with the same ranks as them.

The meeting was incredibly short. The captain informed them to prepare themselves, and they would leave to join the army in a couple of hours. In the meantime, Anton gave Captain Joraniah all of the Tablets of Survival Spell that he had created. He managed to complete around two thousand tablets.

Captain Joraniah told Anton that each tablet would be given to captains of teams, prioritizing wizards who had a lower rank than Supreme Rank. Anton hoped that his tablets would allow more wizards to survive the battle with the undead.

After that, they all went their separate ways so they could have the last hour to further prepare themselves for the upcoming battle.

In his room, Anton double-checked his gear and all the items he thought would help in the fight, but in reality, there was nothing left for him to prepare. He was already carrying all of his items with him all the time.

When the time came for Team Gorvin to join the army attacking Nizgeroth, the captain led the way to the dimensional gate. Upon arriving at the gate’s location, Anton felt awe at the huge number of powerful wizards and warriors that joined the army. Everyone looked resolute. It was as if everyone was truly prepared to give their all in making sure that the Undead Coalition was destroyed.

Anton could understand. During the time when he was running from the Undead Coalition with his family, he had seen thousands upon thousands of families that were destroyed by what he had been calling the cancer of this world. He still felt deep hatred and wrath towards the coalition. When he was aboard the ship Amelia, he had managed to form deep friendships with a lot of people. He was full of hope that when their families arrived in New Drennor, they would be able to establish their families there and live their lives happily away from the scourge that was the undead.

Anton thought that together with his friends, they would start their own adventures exploring the new continent. They would battle monsters, grow in power, and in wealth together, but all that hope was snuffed out by the Undead Coalition’s greed to conquer.

Not one of his friends had survived, and he was extremely grateful that Anna and his father were visiting him when the attack from the coalition occurred. He didn’t know what he would have become if he were the only one who survived.

At that moment, the only feeling that Anton had was the excitement that his hope of seeing the destruction of the Coalition had arrived. Even if, for some reason, the attack failed, Anton was still decisive that he would do everything he could to assist in the fight, even though deep inside, he knew that his contribution would be minuscule in the grand scheme of things. If he had managed to reach the Semi-Divine Rank or even just the Invincible Rank, maybe his contribution could be greater, but he was still grateful that he had become powerful enough to be able to be part of the army that would attack the Undead Coalition’s kingdom.

Team Gorvin was part of the groups that would function independently from the army, much like guerrilla groups. The plan was that the teams that were assigned to function as part of the guerrilla groups would be under the cover of the Cloak of Shadows and would work as an assassin group targeting higher-ranking undead.

What Anton liked about the army that was attacking Nizgeroth was that everyone looked. There was no hesitation at all, and there was minimal noise. It was as if there were nothing on the minds of the wizards and warriors in the army but to kill the undead scourge.

Team Gorvin was one of the few teams that entered the dimensional gate first. Once they were on the other side, as per their meeting, the only thing the whole team would need to do was to follow Captain Joraniah.

The captain was following a compass that basically pointed to where Nizgeroth was located. Once every wizard and warrior that was part of the attacking army had completed the transfer, everyone started flying towards the kingdom of the Undead Coalition with tens of Semi-Divine and Divine Rank wizards leading them.

Based on the information that they had received about Nizgeroth, the Undead Coalition’s kingdom did not have any walls. Their confidence in their power was such that the Undead Coalition thought that such things were not needed. They were the ones who were feared by others.

The whole plan was simple. The most powerful wizards were the ones who were going to attack first. The main reason for that was for the high-ranking wizards to trigger traps that the Coalition had set up within their kingdom. After that, chaos would come with the wizards attacking every undead in sight.

When they arrived at Nizgeroth, the Undead Coalition’s kingdom was everything he had imagined. It was an undead city that had the aura of a graveyard multiplied a thousand times. The structures inside the undead city were filled with different ziggurats, and according to the information that the captain had given them, each ziggurat was owned by the Undead Coalition’s council members. There were thousands of them.

The undead kingdom’s grounds were filled with bones and rotting flesh, and the stink of death permeated everything. Thousands upon thousands of different undead creatures were waiting for them.

The opening salvo of the higher rank wizards was these massive spells that would have caused massive devastation and destruction, but they were met by the powerful spells of higher ranking undead.
",1262,"2026-06-06T06:57:47.715Z",1,"novelbin.me","f3336589cd8b23f8405803a7507b3b2d5930ec3d107b113f697729a6f5c42df3","my-favorite-game-followed-me-chapter-813","my-favorite-game-followed-me-chapter-811",815,"https://novelzhen.com/images/covers/my-favorite-game-followed-me-cover.jpg"]
