Chapter 1012: Meeting

~6 min read 1,089 words

An interesting answer, though rather clever. Commander Qin Ge, it's your turn to ask. Observer laughed.

Qin Ge said helplessly, "Do we really have to play this little game?"

"Don't you find this interesting? Only by probing each other can we know what the other truly thinks." Observer said with a smile, apparently enjoying it.

"All right." Qin Ge nodded, looking at the Observer before him, "Then what is the final outcome of this world? Is it deleted like a lump of data, or should it continue to persist where it belongs?"

The Observer paused slightly, her fingertip lightly touching her lips, her dark-gold pupils fixed on Qin Ge as she leaned forward involuntarily, "Whether it's intuition or the answer, it tells me that Commander Qin Ge seems to already know everything that's coming? It looks like we need to activate the final plan of Laplace's Demon's computation."

It was obvious the Observer's words weren't meant for Qin Ge. As Qin Ge stared in disbelief, a blue light flashed beside the Observer, and immediately an Antikesi he had never seen before appeared before everyone's eyes.

Her whole body bore a pallid hue, as if wrapped in a fur-lined coat, she curled up beneath a blue jellyfish ship equipment, eyes shut tight, clutching an unknown stuffed toy, as if asleep in a dream.

"It's unnecessary; by the time he knows, the trial has already ended. Moreover, to know all this despite Laplace's Demon being unable to compute it, and to evade the world's mainframe surveillance, the power behind it makes me think of only one person. If it's that exalted one, then everything becomes reasonable."

Although she hadn't opened her eyes, Qin Ge knew from the closing of her lips that these words were spoken by the Antikesi he had never met before.

"Who are you?" Qin Ge asked doubtfully.

The Dreamweaver slowly opened her eyes, revealing blue pupils, but her body remained still.

"Nice to meet you, Commander Qin Ge. You may call me Dreamweaver, or Observer Mio. I am the core of the Siren system, overseeing its experiments, and also the executor of the original Judgment Plan."

Qin Ge startled, looking at the delicate, doll-like Dreamweaver before him, he exclaimed in surprise, "So everything that has happened in this world, and in other worlds as well, is your doing?"

"That's one way to put it." The Dreamweaver's eyes twitched as a light screen appeared before her, continuously flashing with events from various worlds.

"The Judgment Plan was activated as a last resort when the primordial world could no longer sustain itself; its effects are obvious, but it also produces corresponding side effects."

"Moreover, the plan has a time limit; amid constant changes, even Laplace's Demon can make mistakes. And just as this was unfolding, a sudden strong force interfered with the plan's operation, forcing it to terminate abruptly, allowing the primordial world to return to its original peace."

"Instead, it has now become a plan devised to deal with the side effects produced by the Judgment Plan."

The images on the light screen flickered rapidly, yet the information conveyed let Qin Ge grasp the full story.

At that moment, a smiling voice appeared out of nowhere: "This is their request, and also my promise with them; it's time to end all this. What do you think, Qin Ge?"

Everyone turned as one toward the source of the voice, where three figures had appeared at some point. A man in white naval uniform stood at the front, behind him a scarlet ship girl and a fragrant orchid ship girl.

Qin Ge gazed at the three figures, his eyes finally locking onto the man before him.

"Song Qingge."

"Heh, long time no see." Song Qingge smiled.

Qin Ge nodded with a smile, "Indeed, it's been a while. Thank you for your continued care."

"Don't put it like that; I actually haven't done anything, just gave you a heads‑up earlier." Song Qingge paid no heed to the Dreamweaver's look of that sort, continuing to Qin Ge, "All the achievements you possess today are entirely the result of your and your ship girls' hard work, so there's no need to thank anyone."

Qin Ge waved his hand, "That's how you put it, but the things you told me beforehand have already given me sufficient foresight, allowing me to make the most suitable choice within a reasonable framework."

"Besides, there's the blessing on my person; without it, I couldn't have come here so openly."

"Haha, since you put it that way, I'll accept your thanks." Song Qingge smiled.

At that moment, he turned his head toward the Dreamweaver, "Will you blame me for ruining your plan?"

The Dreamweaver shook her head, "No, I'd feel relieved. If that exalted one pays no heed to this matter, our future will be shrouded in mist."

"But since you've intervened, I can now see a glimmer of hope. Even in the future, when facing the abyss, perhaps you won't just abandon us."

"Ha, you're being very straightforward." Song Qingge laughed, "Qin Ge is my recommendation; I naturally take responsibility for him. However, bound by the rules, I cannot directly help you in the future—you'll have to rely mostly on yourselves."

"Still, there are exceptions; one of my ship girls has grasped a rule that isn't subject to dimensional interference, so she might be able to assist you when needed."

"But you also know her personality well; to get her help, you must offer greater compensation. I think such a deal is exactly what you'd expect."

Qin Ge startled, "The person you mean is Mingshi?"

"Exactly, that merchant… cough, Mingshi." Song Qingge said, then realizing something was off, quickly corrected himself.

Qin Ge smirked, "I suddenly feel this is somewhat expected, but I still hope your Mingshi goes easy on them."

"I'll remind her of that—at least make her state her prices openly." Song Qingge said helplessly.

"All right, though it sounds unreliable, this is the best method." Qin Ge nodded, then looked at the nautical chart, "So can we get them to stop?"

Song Qingge shook his head then, "Let this unfinished battle continue; the last fight that was supposed to settle everything resolved nothing, and this time we absolutely cannot just call it off."

"Besides, you wouldn't want to see Yujin and the Sirens clash again later, would you? Let them use this battle to settle their grudges."

Qin Ge could only nod, "All right."

As Qin Ge sighed, Guanghui beside him had already gone dumbfounded.
