Chapter 415: Registration
Qin Ge smiled as he looked at Zhenhai before him, "Maybe, but now is not the time to talk about that."
He stepped forward and extended his right hand toward Zhenhai, "I am Qin Ge; from today on I am your commander, please guide me in the future."
Zhenhai looked at Qin Ge's outstretched hand, gave a light chuckle, then took it, "Please also guide me in the future, Commander; I believe our days ahead will be interesting."
Qin Ge gave a noncommittal response; this Zhenhai was clearly different from the Donghuang shipgirls he had seen, her words retaining at least seventy percent of their meaning. On the other hand, she resembled his fleet's Tiancheng, likely a strategist‑type figure.
However, if Donghuang were to produce a strategist‑level shipgirl, he would not be surprised, given Donghuang's extraordinarily long military history and the fact that the concept of tactics has long been regarded as scripture worldwide.
Seeing the nine shipgirls already summoned beside him, Qin Ge nodded; this summoning was complete. He then turned to the remaining shipgirls and said, "Let's head back together, and while we're at it, register at Ninghai."
"Yes."
When Qin Ge brought a few shipgirls to Ninghai's side, Ninghai eyed the new faces and said to Qin Ge, "Commander Qin Ge, are you building again today? I've noticed that more shipgirls have been built recently than before."
"Not really more; last year the build frequency was higher, this year the number of builds is lower but each build yields more shipgirls, so each session seems to produce more than last year." Qin Ge told Ninghai.
"Besides, it looks like you built everything this time using the Special Type Constructor—either carriers or submarines." Ninghai said to Qin Ge.
"Yeah, my fleet's future policy is to center on carriers with battleships as support, similar to the White Eagle mixed‑formation's mode of operation." Qin Ge told Ninghai.
"I see, that explains why you have so many carriers this time—you intended this formation." Ninghai, taking out a register, said, "Then tell me the names of the shipgirls you built this time; I'll log them and later you can recalculate the oil on your card."
"All right." Qin Ge nodded. "The White Eagle shipgirls total three: the Aisaikesi‑class Bunker Hill, Ticonderoga, and the Independence‑class Independence."
"I recall Ticonderoga hasn't appeared in White Eagle yet, right? Yet you summoned her here, Commander Qin Ge?" Ninghai said to Qin Ge, eyes full of amusement.
Qin Ge chuckled, already accustomed to it, "Also, the Iron Blood shipgirls total three: the Qibolin‑class Qibolin and Peter Strasse, plus U556."
"You've basically swept up all of Iron Blood's aircraft carriers." Ninghai glanced sideways at the two Iron Blood carriers behind Qin Ge and said to him.
"Low‑key, low‑key." Qin Ge laughed. "The Royal Glorious‑class Fearless, the Sakura Empire submarine I‑25, and the Donghuang seaplane carrier Zhenhai."
"Hold on, Senior Zhenhai?" Ninghai put down his pen and exclaimed in surprise to Qin Ge.
Qin Ge nodded, turned around, and brought forward the Zhenhai who had been lagging at the rear of the group, "Isn't this her?"
"Indeed it's Senior Zhenhai!" Ninghai exclaimed in surprise.
"Hello, Ninghai." Zhenhai said with a smiling gaze.
After exchanging greetings, Ninghai shifted his gaze to Qin Ge, squinting his eyes and said, "Commander Qin Ge, you really are surprising; I kept guessing when you'd manage to summon a Donghuang shipgirl, but I never expected that the moment you did, it would be a Donghuang shipgirl that hasn't even appeared for us yet."
"People have already told me that many times; I can only answer that I've been lucky." Qin Ge gave a helpless laugh.
"All right." Ninghai nodded with a smile. "I'll report this information to the Academy; I believe the other factions will receive it soon, after all you're currently the focus of the Nine Major Factions."
Qin Ge nodded; he was well aware of this himself. He then told Ninghai, "Then I'll head back first; I still need to arrange lodging for them."
"But the Reception House is almost full, right?" Ninghai said to Qin Ge.
Qin Ge nodded. "Yes, about right. So this summoning is the last one inside the Academy; by the time we summon again, I estimate we'll already be at the garrison port area."
"Yeah, it's already late April heading into May; time flies." Ninghai chuckled. "Commander Qin Ge, take today to rest a bit more; you've been taking missions here nonstop—don't wear yourself out."
Qin Ge nodded. "Mm, thanks for your hard work too; I'll be off then."
"Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
After exchanging farewells, Qin Ge led his shipgirls toward the Reception House.
On the way, Peter Strasse asked Qin Ge, "Just now Ninghai told you that you're the focus of the Nine Major Factions; why would he say that?"
"Answering that question risks sounding self‑promoting, but the truth is that my existence differs too greatly from an ordinary commander, which drew the Nine Major Factions' attention."
"Furthermore, the Nine Major Factions have dispatched specialized Awakening‑level shipgirls to protect me, lest I encounter any mishap while carrying out missions." Qin Ge told Peter Strasse.
Peter Strasse's eyes twitched slightly. "So does your presence already put pressure on the Nine Major Factions, prompting them to act under the guise of protection while actually surveilling you?"
Qin Ge gave a faint smile. "Who knows? But I don't mind, after all my goal aligns with the Nine Major Factions: protect humanity and oppose the Sirens. Moreover, I doubt they would eliminate me just because I grow stronger; that would strike the entire commander system and breed distrust between shipgirls and humans."
"Interesting." Peter Strasse chuckled lightly. "Then what we lack most right now is time?"
"That's one way to put it; give us sufficient time and our strength will surely not fall short of the Nine Major Factions." Qin Ge nodded.
"Hehe, I'll make sure to promptly urge you on time management; I'm quite confident in my ability to manage time." Peter Strasse said.
As Peter Strasse and Qin Ge spoke, Zhenhai's eyes also began to narrow slightly. Evidently, from the recent series of events, the information she had gathered was somewhat less than Peter Strasse's, yet possibly more than his in some aspects.
But obviously now is not the place to discuss these matters……
