Chapter 687: Communication Link
"It's pretty much the same as the Donghuang front line, though some of these architectural styles look familiar." Cleveland walked and said while looking at the nearby ruined walls.
"Ha, you're right about that." Baltimore smiled and said, "As White Eagle shipgirls, we really are setting foot on White Eagle soil for the first time."
"Actually, regarding this, I think what Feilong and Hai Lun Na said is correct; for us, White Eagle is merely a default home in our hearts. But in reality, our true home is still the commander."
"So when the commander mentioned rescuing White Eagle, my first reaction wasn't to rush over immediately, but to consider what situation the commander would encounter upon arriving, and whether we should consider giving up..." Cleveland beside them said embarrassedly.
"Actually, I'm the same; after all, although we belong to the Silver Camp, we don't belong to this White Eagle." Baltimore smiled and said, "But speaking of which, that Hai Lun Na is truly mysterious; the information she's revealed during her time with our fleet is genuinely unbelievable."
"Yeah, look at our Hai Lun Na, then look at that Hai Lun Na suddenly—really feels like there's a big difference." Cleveland looked at the Hai Lun Na figure searching ahead and laughed.
"By the way, Hai Lun Na, have you spoken with the other Hai Lun Na?"
Hearing Cleveland's question, Hai Lun Na, who was searching ahead, turned her head, nodded, and said, "We've talked a bit, earlier on the commander's command ship."
"Oh, then what did she tell you?" Cleveland and Baltimore both looked curiously at Hai Lun Na.
Hai Lun Na thought and said, "She told me she envies me, and that I should stay well by the commander's side, be strong, and not lightly write sorrow on my face."
"And she also told me some things about the SG Radar that I didn't know; it feels like an older sister to me."
"Is that so?" Baltimore said, "Could it be that she wants to come to our harbor area?"
"There is that possibility." Enterprise walked up from behind and said to the few people, "No matter from which aspect, our harbor area is a very good partner. After all, we have none of those trivial matters between camps; we only obey our commander."
"Moreover, our commander is also a very open-minded person, coming from another world; although his world differs from that of Hai Lun Na and Feilong and theirs, compared to other camps, it's simply as good as it can get."
"Cooperation? Enterprise, do you think they could possibly join our fleet?" Cleveland asked.
Enterprise thought and said, "According to the common sense of our world, a commander can at most contract one shipgirl of the same name, but that Hai Lun Na and Feilong are from other worlds, so I don't know whether this rule applies to them."
"But if we could let them join our fleet, it would definitely be a huge boost to our fleet's strength, and given their rich anti-enemy experience, it would also be an enhancement for our entire force."
"However, all of that is uncertain; it all depends on the commander's efforts."
"Hehe, that's true." Baltimore laughed.
"However, in my view, the odds are actually quite high, because Hai Lun Na has mentioned this to the commander more than once before; although she didn't say it directly, only bringing it up indirectly, that's enough to indicate some issues." Enterprise smiled.
"I didn't expect Enterprise to also pay quite a bit of attention to these matters." Cleveland laughed and said.
"No, I was just standing nearby when they said that." Enterprise hurriedly explained.
"Hehe, let's not talk about that anymore; based on the current location of the discovered ruins, we've pretty much reached the vicinity of White Eagle's frontline command; next we'll need to search carefully." Baltimore smiled.
"Hmm."
As Baltimore said, they had already landed from the shore and walked to roughly the center of the island; and according to Hai Lun Na's detection, there is still a weak signal here, so this area must have White Eagle's frontline command.
Soon, everyone stopped in front of a square, looking at the somewhat magnificent building ahead and the sign erected beside it, finally being able to confirm that this is White Eagle's frontline command.
However, compared to the relatively intact command department found at the Donghuang frontline, White Eagle's command department appears much more dilapidated; although the main structure remains, one can see from the outside that most places have suffered bombardment, but this doesn't affect us, as Hai Lun Na has already confirmed the signal's location.
"It seems the resistance here was very strong; the Sirens even blew up the command department. Still, the main building remains, so it looks like we might still be able to contact White Eagle's command department." Baltimore said.
"Hmm, Hai Lun Na, it's up to you now." Enterprise looked at Hai Lun Na and said, "Find the communication line and connect it; we must get in touch with White Eagle's command department."
"Understood." Hai Lun Na nodded and then took the lead, walking with everyone into the main body of the building.
Soon, everyone found the communications room. Although the situation here is a mess, they still quickly located the dedicated line's position.
After some time of sorting, thanks to Hai Lun Na's efforts, they finally connected this dedicated line.
"Although there is still some interference, it's sufficient for a call." Hai Lun Na handed the communicator to Enterprise and said.
"That's great, Hai Lun Na." Enterprise praised, then took the communicator from Hai Lun Na's hand and contacted the command department.
After a busy tone sounded in the communicator, it was soon connected.
"This is White Eagle Command, Hawaii's dedicated line? Isn't that place already destroyed by the Sirens? May I ask who you are?"
"Hello, White Eagle Command; I am Enterprise, a White Eagle shipgirl under Commander Qin Ge's command. I, my commander, and our fleet have already arrived in Hawaii; after seeing the situation here, I wish to use the dedicated line to contact White Eagle Command." Enterprise said.
"Commander Qin Ge? You're Enterprise?"
The person on the other end of the communicator obviously seemed surprised, then quickly said, "I am Yue Ke Cheng, previously stationed at your harbor area."
"That's wonderful, Yue Ke Cheng; what's the current situation of White Eagle, could you tell us?" Enterprise happily said.
Due to the noisy and interfered sound in the communicator, for a moment the two didn't recognize each other's voices, but they had interacted for a while at the Riyue Island harbor area, so they were fairly familiar with each other.
"White Eagle's current situation is very difficult; although they had previously received a communication from Commander Qin Ge to White Eagle, everyone thought Commander Qin Ge was making a fuss over nothing."
Although I and Aisaikesi both understand, Commander Qin Ge saying it like this definitely means he has confidence, but the decision-making authority is not with us coming to my place.
"Only when the Siren Fleet attacked did they realize how big a mistake they had made then." Yue Ke Cheng said slowly.
