Chapter 752: Reliance
These past few days Qin Ge has been extremely busy, in every sense.
Iron Blood's ship girls are rather carefree; their dates run from morning until night, so by the time they finish dinner and chat a bit with a few ship girls, it's already dark and they have to go to sleep, preparing for tomorrow's date.
Only tonight did Qin Ge finally consider the task completed.
No, it should be considered roughly completed, because I previously gave Bisimai a ring but we never went on a date; this time, having come to Iron Blood, Qin Ge had promised Bisimai to make it up, so it's basically set for tomorrow.
However, Bisimai herself wasn't informed of this, so after dinner Qin Ge went to Bisimai's door and knocked.
"Commander? Weren't you supposed to be on a date with Qibolin today? Why are you back so early?" Bisimai opened the door, saw Qin Ge's figure, and said somewhat surprised.
"It's precisely because I went on a date with Qibolin that I could come back early; if it were with someone else, I'd probably still be on the way," Qin Ge said with a smile.
"Hehe, Commander, you've worked hard these past two days; come in and talk."
Bisimai said while stepping aside, letting Qin Ge enter her room.
She led Qin Ge to sit on the sofa, then asked him, "Commander, would you like tea or coffee? Or beer?"
Hearing the two words "beer," Qin Ge froze for a moment, then waved his hand and said, "Never mind, we have business to discuss, so coffee will do."
"Hmm." Bisimai nodded, walked to the side, tore open a packet of instant coffee, poured it into a cup, waited for the water to boil, then poured a cup of coffee and placed it before Qin Ge.
"I'm not very good at this sort of thing, so I can only offer a simple reception; I hope the Commander won't mind." Bisimai said.
Qin Ge smiled as he took it, saying, "How could I dislike it? Being able to drink coffee personally brewed by Bisimai, I estimate I'm the only one in the world with this privilege—I'm too happy to even keep up."
"You're joking, Commander." A faint smile appeared on Bisimai's face; she enjoys being with Qin Ge, sometimes feeling tense due to work, but more often she can relax beside him, without constantly reminding herself that she is the leader of Iron Blood.
"However, Commander, you just said you came over to discuss business—what exactly is it?"
Seeing Bisimai's inquiry, Qin Ge smiled and said, "Of course it's tomorrow's date."
"A date? With whom?" Bisimai looked puzzled.
Qin Ge involuntarily raised a hand to his forehead, saying, "Don't you remember? I promised you when you came to Iron Blood that I would take you out on a date; we're already in Iron Blood now, but because your work schedule was tight before, I could only first take others out to practice, yet I never forgot this matter—I came today precisely to tell you about this business."
Bisimai stared for a moment, then her expression softened: "It's wonderful that the Commander remembers this, but for now it's not necessary, because our cooperation with Iron Blood hasn't been finalized yet..."
Qin Ge interrupted, saying, "Then just set it aside, or go find Emperor Frederick and have her help you."
"This..." Bisimai stared at Qin Ge, unable to speak.
Qin Ge sighed, "Iron Blood has plenty of talent; don't burden yourself with everything. Moreover, negotiating with Iron Blood is this fleet's affair, not yours alone, Bisimai, so be sure not to reverse priorities."
So it's decided: tomorrow I'll come to see you for a date; after I leave later, you just briefly tell Emperor Frederick, let her stand in for you tomorrow, and I'm sure the other informed party will agree as well.
Hearing Qin Ge's firm tone, Bisimai wanted to object but found she couldn't utter a word.
"I understand, but whether or not we go on a date doesn't matter; as long as the Commander stays by my side, that's my greatest wish." Bisimai said.
"That's merely your wish; love is mutual, and I have my own wishes too—do you want to hear them?" Qin Ge asked.
"Yes." Bisimai nodded.
Qin Ge pointed to the spot beside him and said, "Sit down, I'll tell you."
Facing Qin Ge's instruction, Bisimai instantly felt as if she were back to that night.
Without refusal, Bisimai blushed and sat beside Qin Ge.
Qin Ge directly reached out, pulling Bisimai into his embrace; the action startled her a bit, but she did not resist.
She yielded, collapsing into Qin Ge's arms, and immediately heard his heartbeat—strong and powerful—making her previously somewhat stiff body instantly go soft.
"This is my wish; do you understand, Bisimai?" Qin Ge said softly.
"Just like this, I can hold you close in my arms, letting you feel the joy of being a woman, rather than the leader of Iron Blood."
"Commander..."
Qin Ge shook his head, "I know what the three words 'Bisimai' signify, I know your heart's dream, but on the road to pursuing your dreams, please allow yourself to rest occasionally; my embrace will always be your safe harbor."
"Although this safe harbor isn't strong, I will do my best to shield you from wind and rain, without so many calculations or schemes—just simply leaning here, resting properly."
"Once we've replenished our spirits, we'll set out again—you and I, the two of us, will forever be together."
Bisimai said nothing, merely pressing close to Qin Ge's chest and nodding, then silently feeling the strength of his arm.
Qin Ge also said nothing; they simply held each other like this—perhaps this is the most suitable way for two people to get along.
After a long time, when Qin Ge's seated body began to feel stiff, Bisimai finally rose from his embrace.
"Tsk, it seems recent travels have delayed my training; just sitting a while made my limbs feel numb. When I return to Gangqu, I'll have to retrain, and then I'll rely on you, Bisimai." Qin Ge said with a laugh.
"Hmm, I will certainly supervise the Commander seriously." Bisimai said.
"That's fine; then I'll head off, go find Kalubudisi to have her knead my shoulders. Don't forget tomorrow's date—I'll come early to see you." Qin Ge smiled.
"Please rest assured, Commander, I will definitely keep the appointment." Bisimai smiled, adding, "And when you're free, can I come find you? Just like just now."
Qin Ge laughed and patted his chest, saying, "If you're willing, you're always welcome to lean on me."
"Hmm."
