Chapter 96: First Meeting

Inside the grand lecture hall at this moment, Qin Ge was lecturing on the topic of battlefield movement.

Battlefield movement includes marching and transport. No matter which method is adopted, it is all to seize the initiative on the battlefield and create a situation favorable to our side.

Moreover, the core lies in the two words 'speed', just like various predatory animals in the world, speed is an indispensable guarantee for successful hunting. The fleet's speed is the same; it is an important component of the fleet's combat power and a strong guarantee for winning battles.

The most famous example is Sunzi, who said over 2000 years ago that an army must be as swift as wind!

Next, we will study the importance of battlefield movement from three aspects: first, the concrete application of rush assault tactics; second, the consequences when a commander fails to correctly calculate the enemy's marching speed; third, the results gained when a commander correctly calculates the enemy's marching speed.

While Qin Ge was lecturing with great enthusiasm in the grand lecture hall, two figures stood at the back door of the hall, looking toward the podium where Qin Ge was.

"How is it? Is it as I said? A very outstanding commander?" the Prince of Wales said to Guanghui.

"Indeed it is, Prince of Wales." Guanghui, looking at Qin Ge's appearance from the back door, nodded to the Prince of Wales beside him.

"To be frank, he actually lacks neither luck nor supplies; he could quickly form a large fleet. But why has he only summoned six shipgirls so far? It's because he is using the elite shipgirl cultivation method." the Prince of Wales explained.

"So I summoned you this time to give you an opportunity, not wanting you to keep searching painfully, and Qin Ge is indeed an excellent commander worthy of you.

"However, whether you can later join his fleet still depends on your own effort. Moreover, you must hurry; according to his fleet composition, without surprise, the next shipgirl will definitely be an aircraft carrier.

"If he really summons your namesake ship, you'll have nowhere to cry."

Guanghui turned his head and smiled at the Prince of Wales, saying, "Then why don't you join his fleet?"

The Prince of Wales smiled and said, "Because I am the dean of the Donghuang Commander Academy of the Azure Lane."

"Hehe, then thank you, Prince of Wales." Guanghui smiled.

"No need to thank me, after all we were once comrades-in-arms fighting side by side." the Prince of Wales said, "Next I'll first take you to arrange your lodging; after his class ends later, I'll bring you to meet him."

"Thank you, Prince of Wales." Guanghui laughed and said.

After the Prince of Wales had arranged Guanghui's lodging, the two returned to the office. At that moment, Qin Ge's tactics class also ended, so the Prince of Wales summoned Fushun and had Qin Ge come to the office.

Although Qin Ge wondered why the Prince of Wales had summoned him to the office—after all he had been there yesterday and already explained the general matters—still, since it was her order, he ought to go.

Arriving at the door of the Prince of Wales's office, Qin Ge knocked on the door and heard the Prince of Wales's voice from inside.

"Please come in!"

Qin Ge opened the door and approached the Prince of Wales's office, but at a glance saw Guanghui sitting to one side. Qin Ge involuntarily stared for a moment, nodded at Guanghui, then said to the Prince of Wales, "If the dean is receiving guests, I can wait a moment and come back later."

The Prince of Wales laughed and waved his hand, saying, "It's fine, this person is the one I previously told you about, sent to protect your safety."

Qin Ge suddenly realized, then closed the door behind him. At that moment the Prince of Wales also stood up and introduced to Qin Ge, "This is Guanghui; although she is not among the earliest shipgirls, she is also a close friend I once fought side by side with. With her help, I no longer need to worry about your safety."

At this moment Guanghui also rose and said to Qin Ge with great elegance, "Greetings, Commander Qin Ge; I am Guanghui, the lead ship of the Guanghui-class aircraft carrier, very pleased to meet you."

Qin Ge looked at the remarkably ladylike Guanghui and quickly said, "Hello, I am Qin Ge; currently at the academy I am a trainee commander and also an assistant instructor of the Strategy and Tactics Department. Because of my request for assistance, I may cause you trouble, I am deeply sorry."

"It's fine." Guanghui gently shook her head, "Being able to cooperate with such an outstanding commander as Qin Ge is my honor, and since I am often at the front line, this commission is tantamount to a rest for me."

"Alright, you two don't need to be modest with each other." the Prince of Wales said to both, "During this period you are partners, so it's important to quickly understand each other and unify your goals."

Qin Ge nodded, "As the dean said, then Guanghui, please trouble you with future commissions. However, please leave the ordinary times to me, letting me handle the situation, except when you need to act at critical moments."

Guanghui smiled, "Of course, I also want to see how formidable the famed Commander Qin Ge is on the front line."

Qin Ge unconsciously touched his nose, "Perhaps you might be disappointed; maybe it's not as good as you imagine."

"Then I'll take that as Commander Qin Ge's humility." Guanghui said with a smile.

"Qin Ge, I have arranged Guanghui's lodging next door to your house, actually the unit beside the female officer's quarters. So let's go back together now; bring Guanghui to meet your shipgirls, and starting tomorrow we'll go to Ninghai to take on missions." the Prince of Wales said to the two.

"Yes, dean." Qin Ge said to the Prince of Wales, then turned to Guanghui and said, "Guanghui, please follow me this way."

After saying that, Qin Ge took the lead in opening the office door and walked out; behind him, Guanghui and the Prince of Wales exchanged a glance, smiled and nodded, then followed Qin Ge out of the office.

The Prince of Wales looked at the closed door and couldn't help but shake his head and laugh, "Guanghui, Guanghui. This opportunity is yours, but whether you can seize it depends on you."

As for Qin Ge, he was unaware of the Prince of Wales's and Guanghui's plans, but he earnestly carried out the task the Prince of Wales had assigned him.

"Is Commander Qin Ge really a trainee commander? When I arrived, I saw you lecturing in the grand lecture hall, your vibrant appearance hardly seems like something a trainee commander could produce." Guanghui asked while walking alongside Qin Ge.

"I am indeed a trainee commander; I only entered the academy in the second half of this year, though I previously had a slight understanding of strategy and tactics." Qin Ge smiled, "Besides that, could Guanghui tell me something about the front line?"
