Chapter 1731
The two figures, one descending in holy light and the other walking out of the storm, had identical faces. They were both Batman, and both were Bruce Wei En.
Darkseid first saw the pair of blue eyes in the blazing holy light behind him, which was also the first color to appear in the endless white light, like an iceberg standing in the distance in a vast snowy field.
When the holy light gradually dissipated, the young man who appeared before him was dressed in silver-white holy armor, with a long white cape trailing behind his right shoulder blade. His medium-length black hair hung behind his head, holy light swirled in his blue eyes, his face was handsome, and his temperament was holy, just like a holy son who had just descended into the world.
The accompanying heavenly light shone down from the Cat Getan storm clouds that had not yet completely dissipated, forming a bright pillar of light. When he descended from the light, six pairs of huge wings unfolded, and the pure white wings and the light attached to them obscured half the sky.
No one had ever seen Bruce Wei En like this.
Everyone present was stunned, including Harley, who was quite familiar with Bruce. She pointed at Bruce with her finger and stammered, "He he he he he..."
"I am the messenger of God's gospel, called by the Lord. God sent me to spread the good news to those prisoners in the land of darkness and death. Your savior is born..."
Bruce's voice seemed to come from an extremely distant space, and in an instant, it spread throughout the entire Apokolips. Darkseid couldn't help but look back, but only saw darkness and endless dead silence.
No response was not the good result he wanted. All the creatures sent to the deep surface had been brainwashed to the core by the Apokolips force field. They should have jumped out and shouted that they would die for Darkseid, but they were silent. Silence represented thinking, and they shouldn't have been thinking at all.
The pressure of Apokolips weakened.
Because Darkseid could no longer focus entirely on communicating with the Apokolips force field, he had to divert some of his attention to guarding against this angel Batman.
Yes, Darkseid recognized Bruce Wei En. Before taking action against Earth, he had collected quite a lot of information on Batman. He recognized his face, but he really didn't understand at all how Bruce Wei En could be like this.
But before he could think about the reason for all this, another new problem appeared—there was another Bruce Wei En behind him.
Darkseid turned his head back and looked at the figure walking out of the storm. He seemed to be wrapped in all the darkness of the universe, condensing them into blood-red killing intent.
A low, hoarse roar came with the sound of footsteps in the dark wind: "Darkseid... give my child back to me!"
Just as Darkseid was about to speak, the Apokolips force field suddenly transmitted violent fluctuations. He turned his head to the side and saw countless whispering runes surrounding Little Bruce, who had just been pushed away. The part of the power belonging to Nyarlathotep within him immediately went berserk after sensing a familiar dark power from Batman.
Countless thick dark tentacles erupted from under Little Bruce's feet, shooting straight into the sky like giant pillars supporting the heavens. It waved in the storm, shredding the power storm belonging to Apokolips, turning it into its own weapon, and setting off violent waves above the deep surface.
In an instant, the murmuring whispers turned into roars full of madness. The distant sound of flutes and the wind of the North began to spread. A huge black phantom stood up from behind Little Bruce, and the shining Trapezohedron flew around it. And the world system that should have expelled the will from outside the universe was as quiet as if it had disappeared.
With a "squelch," an Apokolips scientist with a huge head and brown-red skin gouged out his own eyeballs with his fingers, inserted an awl deep into his brain through his eye socket, and fell down, his face covered in blood.
A dwarf with yellow tentacles growing on his neck shouted: "I know... I know!! I know the manufacturing method of the world-destroying weapon. I will be able to create a powerful weapon that can destroy the galaxy. Give me more! Let me take another look!!!"
He tilted his head back desperately, staring at the stars until he broke his own spine, twisted his head off his shoulders, and it rolled onto the ground, his gray-white mouth chanting that name as it opened and closed.
"Obeying God's will, you shall all listen to the Lord's gospel..."
Bruce's voice came again. The holy light dispelled the darkness, and more and more silent people in factories and laboratories knelt down, beginning to pray in a language they had never heard in their lives. They thought they had seen the most supreme existence in this world—but it was not Darkseid.
Darkseid was confused.
But this could not be blamed on him; the facts before him were truly beyond the limits of any intelligent life's imagination.
Darkseid's first question was, where the hell did these three Batmen come from?
In the information Darkseid obtained about Earth, Cat Getan, and Batman, there was never any mention that there were three Earths, three Gothams, and three Batmen in this world. But if there weren't three Gothams, then where did the other two Batmen pop out from?
His second question was, why the hell did these three Batmen come to Apokolips?
If the Batman wearing black-red armor was the Batman he had learned about before, and he came here because Viman's plan to kidnap Batman's blood relative succeeded, and he wanted to come to get his son back, then were the remaining two Batmen here to preach? Is it popular now to go to other gods' heavens to preach?
His third question was, how the hell do you get these three unlucky things out of his Apokolips?
Darkseid knew very well that no matter where the power of this angel Batman and this outer-god Batman came from, the beings standing behind them willing to lend them power were the real deal. Darkseid was all too familiar with that kind of forced belief spread through power; it was a god's force field, just like the Apokolips force field.
When powerful gods descend, they turn the space around them into a divine kingdom on earth. Other intelligent creatures within their sphere of influence will be forcibly converted. This is the principle of the Apokolips force field brainwashing captives.
But if the people who believe in Darkseid convert the moment another divine kingdom descends, it only shows that the owner of the divine kingdom is far stronger than Darkseid, or rather, their status is much higher.
Are there gods in this world stronger than the New Gods?
Darkseid had never thought about this question before, because he had roamed the universe for so many years and had never seen a powerful race like the New Gods. They were like two completely different existences from other intelligent life in the universe. They were physically strong, long-lived, powerful, and could fight one against a million. They were completely gods in the eyes of those backward and weak civilizations.
When Darkseid merged with the Apokolips force field, he knew that this would be his supreme divine kingdom. Here, he could control everything, and everything would have to bow down because of his powerful strength—
This led to him not knowing what to do now, besides being confused.
Darkseid at this stage actually hadn't fought any particularly strong opponents. The worst consequence of his modified, mediocre, and unstylish backstory was that he didn't have parents or brothers constantly pressing down on his head, which made him lack helpers and also lack experience in dealing with relevant opponents.
Obviously, the best strategy for the current situation is to be clever. Hard-hitting with the Apokolips force field might have a certain chance of success, but as the saying goes, this is Darkseid's own house. If you clash with others here, no matter how you look at it, you are the one suffering the losses.
But the angry and confused Darkseid made a wrong choice. He decided to give these three damn Batmen a taste of his power.
Darkseid took a deep breath and strengthened his connection with the Apokolips force field. Divine power formed a storm around him, but this was only to hide his figure and strengthen his focus, allowing him to better respond to the Apokolips force field.
Suddenly, the entire planet came alive.
In a sense, Apokolips itself could be considered life. It was like a cosmic demon god without self-awareness, possessing a unique life structure and capable of using the energy of the cosmic origin, while Darkseid was its brain and central system.
In the past, no one had given Darkseid such pressure, so he had never tried to merge completely with Apokolips. When he did so, a brand-new life form was born.
After the planet was still for a moment, it erupted with astonishing vitality. Darkseid listened to the voices of all life on this planet, and then incorporated their power and vitality into his own body. There were no believers, no faith, no army, only the "Apokolips Domain" where all things return to one.
"Big trouble." Constantine in front of the screen frowned and said, "Darkseid has become a god, not a New God, but a true god."
"How do you judge that?" Harvey asked.
Constantine sighed and said, "Usually we divide gods into two categories. One is gods in the broad sense, referring to creatures stronger than individuals in most civilizations. Ants will regard humans as gods, and weak individuals will naturally think that powerful individuals far beyond their imagination are gods who can summon wind and rain."
"But there is another kind of god, which is the true god. Their status is far higher than all life in this universe. It's not just power; more importantly, they have the authority to create and destroy all things."
"Creator?" Barbara spat out a word with some confusion, and then she asked to get to the bottom of it: "If there are many creators in this world, wouldn't it be a mess? How can we still exist stably?"
Constantine shook his head and said, "Gods also have strong and weak distinctions. Not every god can create things everywhere. At least as far as I know, even true gods only have complete authority within their own divine kingdoms."
"Divine kingdom is just a name given by the occult world. Usually, there will be a more specific name, such as Heaven, Underworld, or some universe. Although they still have powerful strength after leaving these places, obviously within their divine kingdoms, they are the creators who create all things in a single thought."
"So Darkseid is now the creator of Apokolips?"
"I'm not sure." Constantine stared at the screen with a solemn expression and said, "Usually gods don't choose to be so closely connected to their divine kingdoms, because..."
"Because of what?"
Someone answered Gordon's question, but it wasn't Constantine. Gordon turned to look at Schiller. What impressed him more was not the answer, but Schiller's icy tone that hadn't appeared for a long time.
"Because that would create a fatal weakness."
