Chapter 2006: Lighting the Strange Dream in the Heart (Part 36)

~11 min read 2,101 words

In the restaurant seat, Schiller glanced at the three sneaky people in the corner with his peripheral vision while finishing his analysis of Yondu's plan for Loki.

Loki pondered and said, "Then how should we respond now? In order to complete his plan, Yondu definitely won't talk. Killing a pirate leader is simple, but if this continues, it will be endless."

Schiller, however, revealed a mysterious smile and said, "Of course you don't need to respond, because I have already made preparations."

In the room where the Guardians of the Galaxy were, Rocket jumped in front of Quill and said, "Don't ask why for what I'm about to say. If you are willing to believe me, do as I say. This is the only way to solve all of this."

Quill opened his eyes slightly, not understanding what Rocket Raccoon wanted to say. After he squatted down, Rocket Raccoon whispered in his ear for a full three or four minutes.

Quill went from having his mouth wide open at the beginning to being dumbfounded later, and finally, he stood up, slapped his thigh, sighed, and said from the bottom of his heart, "Is there not a single good person in this universe?"

"Good people don't live long." Rocket Raccoon patted his lower leg and said, "I have to let us all survive. The doctor is right; I can't accept another loss."

Angry shouts suddenly came from the end of the empty corridor, "Someone! Someone! I'm hungry, get me something to eat, come here quickly!"

The guards outside the door looked at each other and walked over. After opening the door, what was revealed was Quill's impatient face. He crossed his arms and said, "How much longer do you intend to keep me here? I am your King's biological son, and ever since I came here, I haven't eaten a single bite. I'm starving to death!"

That guard revealed an awkward expression. He didn't dare to be disrespectful to Quill; after all, he also knew that the King had only this one biological son, and the future heir was definitely him. But he also didn't expect that Quill, who had Spartax blood, would call out that he was hungry so quickly.

But after thinking about it, he still said, "Wait a moment, I'll find someone to send some food over."

"Hurry up... Oh right, don't get me any nutritional supplements; that stuff tastes like dog shit. I want pizza, buffalo mozzarella, large size, no basil leaves, less bottom sauce, don't bake the crust too dry..."

The guard revealed a difficult expression, but he didn't dare to say directly that he couldn't do it, so he could only barely listen patiently. Just as he was listening to the menu and feeling dizzy, he didn't notice a small black shadow slipping between his legs along the crack of the door.

With a *whoosh*, a black tentacle stuck to the ceiling, and a raccoon with four claws covered in black slime crawled across the ceiling at an extremely fast speed.

Slipping out of the window to the outside of the wall, it found a deserted place to crawl down. Rocket Raccoon, who had landed, rubbed his claws hard and said, "This is truly disgusting. I swear this is the last time I cooperate with you, Sludge!"

"Stop talking nonsense, you stupid raccoon. Your cleanliness instinct as a beast is best not to interfere with our actions at this critical moment. Hurry up and go to their research institute!"

"You are the biggest fool. We have to go back to the spaceship first to get that egg that is as disgusting as you."

The raccoon's small body combined with Venom's mobility made their infiltration smooth and unobstructed. They soon sneaked into the starport. On the way to the spaceship, Rocket Raccoon heard the Asgardians' conversation and discovered that things were indeed as Gamora had speculated.

But he had to complete his mission now. He knew this was the key to breaking the situation.

They soon got the egg and headed straight for the most conspicuous Royal Research Institute on the main planet.

Such interstellar civilizations all had a common characteristic: after entering the interstellar colonization era, they actually didn't need to put functional facilities on the main planet, especially buildings with certain dangers like research institutes, which could completely be placed in some remote corner.

But in order to show off their strength and enhance the cohesion and sense of honor within the ethnic group, most interstellar civilizations would build their origin main planet into a holy land. All kinds of buildings that could reflect the civilization's strength had to be placed beautifully, and the research institute that could best reflect technological strength had to have one.

The research institute on the Spartax main planet actually didn't undertake any important research work; most of what was placed inside were scientific research achievements, but this benefited Rocket Raccoon and Venom.

They first sneaked into the research institute, found a glass cabinet for displaying collections, stuffed the egg inside, and even found an existing collection plaque to stick on it.

Then they carried this glass cabinet back to the spaceship and took the spaceship away while the starport guards weren't paying attention.

After flying to a place that was a certain distance from the Spartax main planet but still within the territory of the Spartax Empire, Rocket and Venom flew directly out of the spaceship and then blew up the spaceship with a few shots.

The spaceship, the glass cabinet containing the egg, and the egg's shell were all shattered. After the translucent shell wrapping the cosmic locust broke, a small, inconspicuous worm flew out from inside.

As soon as this worm was born, it showed amazing action ability. It followed its instinct to feed and began to constantly gnaw on the broken celestial bodies around it.

As its volume grew larger and its development became more mature, the information fragments recorded in its genetic information became clearer and clearer. Then, like its ancestors, it began to head toward the place with the strongest fragrance in the universe.

In the depths of the universe, a giant wearing green armor floated quietly in the silent cosmic space. Soon, he heard echoes coming from the mysterious universe.

"Analyzer, I am the Collector. I need your help. A new civilization data fragment is being excavated. Please come to me..."

The green giant opened his eyes, soft light radiating from his whole body, and began to move slowly toward the companion calling him.

Behind him were countless abandoned celestial bodies. As he swept past the stars, he did not notice that an extremely tiny point of light was always following behind him.

Until the giant known as the Analyzer slowed down, the point of light invaded his light, and without him knowing or feeling it, it drilled through the gaps in that powerful armor and entered his body.

Less than half a day passed, and several huge phantoms descended above a small, broken spaceship.

"Collector! What exactly is going on?! Why is the Analyzer infected with the plague?!!"

It was not hard to hear that the roar was full of anger, disbelief, and a trace of imperceptible fear.

"How are those damn bugs still alive? Haven't they disappeared in the universe for a long time? What exactly is going on with this spaceship?!! Searcher!!!"

The orange giant known as the Searcher shook his head and said, "I haven't seen them for many years. I can only find this ship by following the traces left by their flight."

Several huge figures all looked down at the small spaceship, but not a single giant dared to touch it.

"This is Earth's writing." A giant with pink armor said, "This is a spaceship from Earth."

Several giants were silent, because they remembered that the cosmic locusts were indeed not extinct, because the unlucky guy who died on Earth back then, his remains and the locusts parasitic in his body were all left on Earth.

Why would Earth's spaceship appear here?

Several giants looked at each other, obviously having no answer, so the only thing they could do was descend on the nearest civilization's planet and ask what exactly was going on.

The moment the Celestials descended, it was as if all things stood still for it.

Jason Spartacus, who was entertaining the Asgardians, looked up and saw a scene that terrified him incomparably. Several Celestials were floating quietly above the planet, their huge figures reaching into the clouds until they disappeared into the dark depths of the universe.

He opened his mouth wide and couldn't speak, but the ones who reacted more stressfully than him were the Asgardians.

"Celestials!!!!!" With a roar, the Asgardians all recognized that the giants who had descended here were the Celestial Group.

It wasn't the first or second time the Celestial Group had come to the Nine Realms.

The God race was generally long-lived, and some Asgardians might have seen the Celestials several times in their lives, knowing very well how powerful this group of giants was.

And the Asgardians were indeed battle-hardened. The moment they discovered the Celestials had descended, they reacted like all fighting nations—this is aimed at me.

It was no wonder they had such intuition. Asgard could be called the civilization with the most frequent conflicts with the Celestials. It was truly a case of the previous generation fighting and the next generation fighting. In their thinking, this group of giants could come to their door at any time to have a passionate boxing match with them.

But at that time, they were fighting on their home turf, and now there were only a few of them. Although the Asgardians were brutes, they weren't stupid—call for help! Hurry up and call for help!

But it wasn't just them who could call for help.

Before this group of giants could speak, two bolts of lightning came together from the horizon, followed by a huge iron phantom, a female figure radiating brilliance, a figure with endless flashing magical light, and a group of ethereal mist.

Odin and his son, the Iron Demon God, the Goddess of Radiance, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Nameless Mist descended together.

These were obviously called over by Thor, but as the saying went, it wasn't just Thor who could call for help.

Immediately following were Mephisto, Dormammu, and Chthon, the three dark brothers. To prevent them from causing chaos, the Vishanti of course had to come too.

Not long after, the sky above the entire Spartax planet became a meeting of monsters. Even the huge Celestial Group didn't seem to stand out among this group of demons and ghosts.

The Celestial Group was also stunned.

What's going on? We didn't say we wanted to hold a meeting, so why did everyone come so completely?

The others were fine, but why did that one with goat hooves and that one fat as a ball start drooling?

"Celestial Group, what are you doing here?" Thor asked first.

This question stumped the Celestial Group.

I was thinking this isn't Asgard, right? Or did the Nine Realms have any expansion plans in these few hundred years that we don't know about, and the branches of the World Tree have already reached here?

What do you mean what are we doing here? What are you doing here???

But obviously, the giants who considered themselves Celestials couldn't ask that. The leading Arishem sighed and said.

"A Celestial is infected with the plague. We followed the tracks of the cosmic locusts and found this spaceship, and it obviously came from Earth."

"Any evidence?"

The Celestials turned their heads and found that it was the Iron Demon God who asked. They didn't need to explain this question, because the spaceship was covered in human writing.

"I mean, how can you prove that it was humans who flew this spaceship here?"

The Celestials were a bit speechless. The leader just wanted to speak, when Loki, who was radiating brilliance, spoke in a gentle voice.

"Everyone, don't be angry. You must not know that humans have long been subjected to diplomatic blockades by the Galactic Council. Human spaceships cannot fly out of the solar system, otherwise they will be immediately expelled and destroyed."

"If you don't believe it, you can ask the leader of this civilization. He should be a member of the Galactic Council."

In an instant, the eyes of all the giants and monsters fell on Jason Spartacus's face.

Jason almost peed his pants on the spot. ===== CHAPTER 2007 =====
