Chapter 2009: Lighting the Strange Dream in the Heart (Part 39)
Accompanied by T'Challa's narration, an old story like the beginning of a legendary movie was unveiled and displayed in front of everyone.
Many years ago, the best of a young civilization first sent out their first call to the vast unknown world with a feeling of anxiety.
And fortunately, they received a response. This proved that they were not alone, and what was even more surprising was that the other party first extended an olive branch to them, wanting to come to their planet for a visit.
The best of this civilization was Wakanda, and the one who responded to them was the Galactic Council.
T'Challa's tone gradually lowered, and he said, "At that time, our spaceships couldn't fly very far. We agreed to use Mars as a temporary docking port and drove our spaceship to pick them up."
"When they just boarded the ship, we felt their attitude was a bit strange, but we thought that was just their unique etiquette, and we still welcomed them very warmly."
"We originally thought they would be very interested in our customs and culture, and even prepared a lot of human civilization history for them to study, but what they were most interested in was the technological achievements of the Wakanda Royal Research Institute, which made us feel very confused."
"Shouldn't they be a more advanced civilization than us? They could even fly spaceships across several light-years to come here, so how could they be interested in our technology?"
"But we thought they might just be curious about how our technology developed, so we still introduced the technological achievements displayed in the Wakanda Royal Research Institute to them in detail."
"Of course, this couldn't bypass Vibranium."
T'Challa's tone was lower, even mixed with a trace of grief and indignation, but he still said as detailed as possible.
"The reason why Wakanda's technology could lead other countries was not because we were smarter or stronger than other humans. The teachings given to us by the gods only pointed out the direction for us. What truly made us lead was the God Metal brought to us by that meteor ten thousand years ago, which is commonly known as Vibranium."
The Celestials looked at each other. Both the Searcher and the Collector nodded to Arishem. Obviously, they also knew about this metal and also knew about the meteor.
T'Challa felt slightly relieved, because looking at the actions of the Celestial Group, he knew that Vibranium was probably a relatively rare metal in the universe, just as they had investigated, otherwise it would be impossible for it to be on the list of this group of giants.
Then he continued, "The other party inevitably became interested in Vibranium and proposed to go to our mines to take a look."
"At that time, we didn't have much communication with the outside world and didn't know what kind of value the metal we possessed had, so we warmly welcomed them to inspect the mines."
"But I didn't expect this exchange trip to end in a hurry. The other party left quickly as if they had some urgent matter."
"Although we felt a bit disappointed, we didn't think much of it. But just twenty days later, the largest Royal Mine owned by Wakanda suffered the most serious theft in history."
Strange used magic to make the data T'Challa brought float up. Everyone present saw the records on it at the same time, including the statements of the security personnel at the time, the transcripts of witnesses, and some backup evidence of the investigation afterwards.
"It was another night with a meteor." T'Challa sighed and said, "Countless Wakanda citizens took this as a romantic signal and had unrealistic expectations for the night sky, but that wasn't a meteor at all. The truth was even more cruel."
"That alien race that contacted us set their sights on this rare metal. They had long had observation records of the meteor that brought Vibranium, just that they hadn't found the specific landing point of the meteor, and we threw ourselves into the net."
"For some reasons, they didn't dare to send a fleet directly to grab it." T'Challa turned his head to look at Odin. Odin sneered and said, "Give them two guts, and they wouldn't dare."
The Celestial Group obviously also knew Odin. Although they didn't think Odin could compete with them, they had to admit that Odin was indeed the best among ordinary creatures.
Although Odin didn't completely win at the beginning, being able to confront the Celestial Group head-on was already not easy. This was the gap in life level, not something that could be made up for by strength.
"They manufactured a type of micro-aircraft, or rather a capsule that didn't transmit any signals, projected it from outside the Nine Realms to Earth, and it landed on Wakanda's land."
After T'Challa withdrew his gaze, he continued, "An alien squad sneaked into the Vibranium mine and stole a large amount of Vibranium from there. Unfortunately, the spaceship they flew when they came wasn't a normal spaceship and couldn't transport such a large volume of metal ore."
"But they had long thought of this point. They stole a spaceship from Wakanda and left Earth with the ore they stole."
T'Challa's gaze fell on this spaceship and said, "This is the spaceship that was stolen from us back then, and the civilization that contacted us was Spartax."
Jason opened his eyes wide. The only thing he wanted to say now was for you not to frame people, but he keenly grasped the loophole in T'Challa's words and said.
"The matter you mentioned should have been years ago, right? But we only joined the Galactic Council in the last ten years."
"But you didn't just hear about the Galactic Council in these ten years." Stark interrupted him and said, "There is a type of thief who will disguise themselves as security guards to patrol before stealing things, because this is the best excuse for them to openly scout."
"If you didn't say you were the leader of the galaxy, who would let their guard down and let extraterrestrial civilizations visit their home casually?! This is clearly your trick!"
Jason was choked again.
Immediately afterwards, he also felt a bit suspicious, because in the years before he took power, Spartax did indeed break out in the biggest civil strife in history. Otherwise, could he have been driven out?
Wait, could it be that some faction in Spartax at that time thought of this damaging trick in order to use Vibranium to collect wealth or build weapons?
This was not impossible. Jason knew too well the group of people he usually dealt with, and knew even better what kind of people his elders were. They were all ambitious people for generations, and using the tiger's skin as a banner to deceive new civilizations was not something they hadn't done.
But of course Jason couldn't admit it, so he immediately said, "This is completely a story you made up. We have never contacted Earth. You said we stole Vibranium, but I have never seen this kind of metal."
He calculated that T'Challa might want to search on the Spartax planet, but according to common sense, no empire would agree to such a search, so he refused to agree to death, and there was no problem from a moral point of view.
He guessed right. T'Challa really proposed that the stolen Vibranium must be on the Spartax planet, and Jason must cooperate with the search. Jason refused to agree to death, and the two were deadlocked.
But at this time Schiller spoke up.
"I think everyone has missed the point. The whereabouts of the metal are not important at all. What is important is some kind of terrible plague."
The Celestial Group all turned to look at Schiller. They had heard of Schiller's name, but had never seen this image of Schiller.
Schiller had almost never appeared in the complete form of gray mist, so although this image couldn't fool acquaintances, it could still fool these aliens who had only heard of his name.
The Celestial Group didn't take Schiller's strange image seriously either. After all, Earth had produced fierce people throughout history, and fierce people didn't look like humans. Earth had many strange things, so one more didn't matter.
But the view proposed by this mist was very much to their liking. Racial grievances, the whereabouts of metal—none of this was the point. They came here to know what was going on with that bug.
As a result, they heard Schiller say.
"From my perspective, things are like this. First of all, I must tell everyone a regrettable piece of news: there is indeed a source of plague hidden within Earth, right in the core. It is a bug that has not yet hatched."
The eyes of all the Celestials were attracted by Schiller, and Arishem asked, "How do you know?"
He was equivalent to confirming the authenticity of Schiller's words, because all Celestials knew that cosmic locusts had brought them deep disasters.
"My existence form is relatively special." The gray mist surged and said, "I can completely penetrate the entire Earth and observe the structure under the crust that humans cannot observe. Nothing on Earth can hide from me, and those bugs are the same."
"I guess you should also know the existence of that group of bugs, but what you don't know is that the cavity where the insect eggs gather is right under the African continent on Earth, which is under the Vibranium vein of Wakanda."
Schiller said it very vaguely, making people think that Wakanda's Vibranium vein connected to the cavity where the insect eggs were. Although the Celestial Group knew a lot, they didn't know such details, so they thought so too.
"But we have been mining for so many years and have never seen any bugs." T'Challa said in disbelief.
"Yes, your technology cannot break through the outer wall of the cavity." The gray mist surged again and continued, "Even your sharpest drill cannot break through the barrier composed of insect egg slime. The material science development of human civilization is far from enough to let you break it."
Schiller was telling the truth. The cavity where the insect eggs were located did have a barrier, and humans really couldn't open it. Drills made of Vibranium and molten steel wouldn't work. Even at the current development speed, mechanical engineering and material science would have to develop for another two or three hundred years to be possible.
But as the saying went, Earth had many strange things. Symbiotes were the natural enemy of all physical barriers. Symbiote factors could penetrate, and they had ways to bring the things inside out.
The Celestial Group didn't express any objection to this, because they knew how powerful that kind of bug was and also knew how weak humans were.
More importantly, they understood how much humans could court death. If humans could drill that place open, the one standing here now would be the Locust God.
"And the only ones with the ability to break the barrier and most likely to do so are that group of aliens who entered the Vibranium mine."
As soon as Schiller said this, Jason froze for a second, and then cold sweat instantly soaked his whole body.
From a moral point of view, indeed no one had the right to search the main planet of a civilization, but look at this group of big guys overhead who were anxious—did they look like they were talking about morality?
Arishem spoke with a dull sound.
"Notify the Exterminator, prepare to launch a comprehensive extermination operation on this star sector, and ensure that no possible plague hiding place is missed."
"Wait!!!" Jason screamed.
Instantly, the murderous eyes of all the Celestials stared at Jason, and the light of power began to flicker on their weapons. In the face of the survival of the race, there was no principle that could not be broken.
Jason began to frantically press the communicator on his arm and shouted at it: "Call the Council, call the Council, Spartax is under invasion, request support! Request support!!!"
"This is the Galactic Council Communication Headquarters, we are currently suffering... Don't let them in! That group shouting something about the Force be with me... Bang! Bang bang!... Ah!!!" ===== CHAPTER 2010 =====
