Chapter 3069: Matter Settled (Part 3)
Shiler was sitting in his office at Arkham Asylum, scrolling through short videos on his phone. With a *bang*, the door was pushed open, and Peter rushed in in a rush.
"Doctor! Doctor! Help me look at this quickly!" Peter held his phone to Shiler's face and said: "Look at this big balloon, how is it? It would be cool to put it at the wedding!"
Shiler took a look and found that it was the kind of internet-famous wedding on the short video software, which had a big balloon that could pull people up, with "Fly, my love" written on it, and then the bride and groom slowly flew together.
"I only know that if you put this thing at the wedding, your Uncle Stark will shoot you," Shiler said.
"Ah!" Peter let out a scream, slumped onto the sofa next to him, his whole body like a puddle of mud.
"If you have this energy, you might as well go and check the guest list again. Although there are not many guests on your side, it would be very troublesome if you get it wrong," Shiler reminded for the umpteenth time.
"I wouldn't have joined in the fun if I had known!" Peter slumped on the sofa and said: "Gwen and I are almost nervous to death."
Shiler sighed. This matter had to start with Stark's wedding.
Originally, the invitations for Stark's wedding had been sent out, the date had been set, and it was about to be held. Steve's girlfriend Carter was pregnant.
Logically speaking, this was nothing. At most, pay attention during the wedding and don't bump into her.
But Steve was a relatively traditional man, and Carter's parents were also relatively traditional believers. They couldn't accept things like having children before marriage, so Steve also hurriedly started preparing for his and Carter's wedding.
Stark saw that since they were going to hold a wedding anyway, why not join them? Anyway, no matter how Steve did it, the scale couldn't be bigger than his. Stark was confident that the wedding process he arranged would definitely give the bride an unforgettable memory.
Steve and Carter discussed it and felt that holding a collective wedding was also quite good. On one hand, Stark basically arranged all aspects of the wedding, so they didn't need to worry too much. On the other hand, Steve himself had no relatives. If they held a wedding alone, it wouldn't look good if too few people came. It was better to gather everyone together to be lively.
Steve agreed, which made Stark very happy, because in his view, this was recognizing his wedding planning and affirming his romantic aesthetics.
Stark was a person who loved crowds, feeling that two pairs of newcomers were not enough. Seeing that Peter and Gwen were also getting married, he simply said, hurry up, and get married with us.
Peter actually didn't want to join in the fun, but Gwen calculated an account for him. After seeing the whole string of zeros on the cost of holding an independent wedding, she felt that a collective wedding was really wonderful.
Peter and Gwen couldn't be said to have no money. The patent fees for both of them were received until their hands were soft. But New York was not the richest, only richer. Their assets were just middle-class, and they couldn't compare with the giants on those few streets at all.
Although they didn't plan to have children now, in case they wanted their children to receive elite education in the future, these savings were far from enough. If they spent a lot of money to hold a wedding, it would be even more stretched.
Neither of them was the kind of flashy person. They lived their lives carefully, saving where they could. If it were up to them, they would just go to the church when they got married, and then invite three or five friends to gather.
But with their current social status, it wouldn't work not to hold a wedding. The patent technologies they researched needed people to invest. Even if it was for the need of attracting investment for the laboratory, the bigger the better. This was an important social occasion and couldn't be saved.
Looking at it this way, holding a collective wedding had many benefits. They didn't have to spend too much money themselves, they could talk about their patent technologies with social celebrities at the wedding, recommend their laboratory, and it didn't hinder friends and relatives from gathering.
More importantly, Stark was a person whose face was more important than heaven. Not spending his money was looking down on him. He was also an emotional brain, feeling that a good brother was willing to let him arrange the ceremony for his lifelong event, which was looking up to him too much, so it must be held even more grandly than before.
The result was that the layout had to be readjusted, the wedding was postponed, and the previous invitations were voided. After finishing, they were sent out again.
Although many places needed to be adjusted, the big framework had been completed. Stark said it was conservative, estimating that it would be postponed for a month, but Peter judged rationally, feeling that it would take at least two months to finish.
Originally, they planned to hold it on the West Coast, but Los Angeles was no longer enough for Stark to toss. He directly bought an island on the West Coast and moved all the layouts to the island.
That was because he had countless mechas in his hands, as well as various mechanical equipment, so moving them didn't take much effort. If ordinary people tossed like this, it would take at least half a year.
Stark was responsible for the big framework of the wedding, and Peter and Steve also had to finalize some details. What Peter had to do was the decoration of the flower path for the newcomers to enter, which drove him crazy.
First of all, Peter Parker was a science student. The proportion of romantic parts in his brain was extremely small. Otherwise, he wouldn't be ugly, and his academic performance wouldn't be good, so he wouldn't have mixed into a bookworm who was bullied at school.
Secondly, Gwen was also a science student. She could be a little better than Peter, but she was also limited. And since graduation, she had been dealing with the machines in the laboratory. The daily topics of the two were theory and experiments. What birthday flowers, candlelight dinners, honeymoon trips, they hadn't experienced any of them.
Fish find fish, shrimp find shrimp, turtles find turtles. This pair of crouching dragons and phoenixes just happened to meet each other, but if they were replaced by anyone else, they would be pissed off.
Letting such two people be responsible for wedding decoration was absolutely the worst idea Stark had come up with in the last ten years, none of them.
In the past few days, Shiler had seen dozens of internet-famous plans that Peter found online, one more outrageous than the other. If these outrageous things appeared at the wedding scene carefully arranged by Stark, Iron Man could punch Peter into the ground and couldn't dig him out.
But Peter really had no imagination in this regard, and he didn't know what kind of atmosphere it should be when the bride and groom entered.
Shiler made a lot of efforts in this regard, for example, guiding him to imagine the scene of seeing Gwen for the first time, imagining the scene of him revealing his true identity to Gwen for the first time, and recalling the scene of them traveling to Hollywood together.
The memories were all beautiful, but once they fell to the ground, the scene was comparable to an industrial exhibition.
Peter twisted and hummed on the sofa. Shiler was really annoyed by him, thought for a while, and said: "This problem cannot be solved here with me. You still have to find a professional."
"Professional? Is there anyone more professional than you?"
"I'm talking about a professional in wedding planning, at least in terms of design..." Shiler thought for a while and said: "Didn't Eddie film a whole season of wedding documentaries? He should know Tony's thinking about designing weddings very well. Why don't you go find him?"
Peter was enlightened, rushed up from the sofa like a pole, and ran out of the door while calling Eddie on his phone.
"Why is he still like a child." A familiar voice sounded in Shiler's ear. He turned his head and saw a gray mist.
"Why are you back at this time? Hungry again?"
"No," the gray mist churned and said: "I have to come back to attend Tony Stark's wedding. The chocolate he customized is especially delicious."
"That's right. Venom is going, so you have to go, otherwise all those expensive customized chocolates will be cheap for him."
"Heh, he is a glutton without taste, throwing everything into his mouth," the gray mist said somewhat disdainfully, and then he looked at the webpage on Shiler's computer and said: "Are you looking at recruitment information? Is the asylum short of doctors?"
"Doctors are not recruited on this website," Shiler shook his head, put down his phone, looked at the computer again, and said: "I didn't buy a farm? It needs manpower. Although I don't plan to really make a living by planting, I always need people to clean up or something."
The gray mist nodded seriously, and then floated to the other side and said: "The phone is going to ring."
Shiler picked up his phone. Sure enough, the phone rang soon, and the cheerful voice of Scarlet Witch Wanda came from the other side.
"Doctor, have you heard? Tony Stark invited Jarvis and me to hold a wedding together!"
"You guys too?!" Shiler said somewhat surprisingly, and then he shook his head and continued: "Tony is a bit too excited. A wedding for four pairs of newcomers, the things to prepare are much more troublesome. Is he ready to receive mutants?"
"I was just about to say this, Doctor. I don't really want to call Erik. Can you help me ask him who among the mutants can come?"
"Fine, I'll call him later, but you'd better not hold too much hope. The Andromeda Galaxy is not peaceful there, he estimates he has to leave quite a few people behind."
"Okay, I know, thank you, Doctor."
Hanging up the phone, Shiler sighed again. Originally, three pairs of newcomers were fine, but now Scarlet Witch and Jarvis were added. If something didn't happen at the wedding scene, it would be sorry for Stark's big hand.
But facts proved that Stark was more excited than he thought, because not long after, Ma Te's phone also came.
"You should have already received Tony's call, right? Doctor, he insisted on dragging Elektra and me to hold a wedding, we have both held one already..."
"No way, he is too excited now, no one can persuade him," Shiler said: "But I hope you won't see Kingpin at the wedding scene."
"Of course I will," one could tell how much of a headache he had from Ma Te's voice. He said: "That's why we didn't want to make a big deal out of it. Elektra and I both have quite a few enemies. They are very likely to make trouble at the wedding."
"Is there anything I can help with?"
"Adults are fine, but there are children at the wedding scene. Safety is of paramount importance. If possible, let's gather at S. H. I. E. L. D. tomorrow, how about it?"
"No problem, you set a time."
Shiler and Ma Te agreed to go to S. H. I. E. L. D. tomorrow afternoon to talk to Nick about the safety of the wedding. Although it was a bit exaggerated to use S. H. I. E. L. D. to escort a wedding, Nick might just need this opportunity to reimburse.
Sure enough, a little later, Shiler received a call from Nick. He said decisively on the other side.
"S. H. I. E. L. D. must take this big project, Shiler Doctor. The funding for the next two years depends on this time. Do you have confidence?!"
"I have full confidence that you will get a punch from Tony!" ===== CHAPTER 3070 =====
