Chapter 3671
When the hover car took off, the crowd on the ground cheered. Stark stretched his head and arms out of the window to wave to them. The bright sunlight reflected his hair into a shining gold, and then he sat back slightly reservedly, held the steering wheel with both hands, and stepped on the accelerator lightly.
Shiler felt a strong push back, and then the car "whooshed" and rushed out. Peter let out a cry, and by the time he came back to his senses, he had already arrived at the other side of Central Park.
"The brake is too loose! Tony!" Peter looked terrified, even though the speed had slowed down, he gasped and said, "The power seems to be a bit too sufficient, let's make a speed limiter."
"What are you afraid of, anyway, there are no other aircraft in the sky, it doesn't matter if you drive fast."
"But you have to understand, not everyone is like you, wearing a suit of iron shell and cruising at high speed in the sky every day." Shiler grabbed the car door handle and said, "Ordinary people will definitely vomit if they accept such high acceleration for the first time. Since you used the classic car model that old money likes, it should be based on stability and dignity, instead of acting like those young people who like to explode the street."
"Is it really fast?" Stark turned his head and said curiously, "I think it's okay, but what you said makes sense. It seems that the speed needs to be adjusted again."
On the ground, S. H. I. E. L. D. agents rushed over in a hurry. The first time Stark landed, he heard Seeing Natasha's roar:
"Thanks a lot, Tony Stark! This is the first time in my life I've seen a rocket with wheels!!! Are you planning to let this kind of thing fly around in New York's sky in the future?! Nick will definitely double all the loss bills and send them to your house, I'm not joking!!"
Stark touched his nose. Seeing Natasha covered her forehead and said: "Don't think about testing this thing in New York in the future, get out to New Mexico!"
Coulson also chased over and said: "My god, this is driving too fast. Are you planning to train everyone into pilots?"
"You guys are a bit too exaggerated." Stark walked to the shade of a tree and said, "This shouldn't be faster than the acceleration of a roller coaster, right?"
"Don't you think there's a problem with comparing a household car with a roller coaster?" Shiler shook his head helplessly and said, "And the acceleration of a roller coaster is only for a moment. If you didn't step on the brake just now, the two buildings in front of you would have become the second Twin Towers."
Stark sighed dejectedly and said: "You all say so, then it's even more impossible for Congress to pass the bill related to flying cars."
"Then you should think about why they don't pass it." Seeing Natasha said, "You can't let any ordinary person accept rockets flying around in the sky. You need an intelligent driving system, a stable speed limiter, to avoid any possibility of dangerous driving."
"Looks like I have to study it again." Stark said, "Let's stop here today, I'll take this car back to Stark Group."
"No, Tony, give it to me." Peter said, "You go study the intelligent driving system, I'll handle the speed limiter. I think there's a better solution than the brake."
"Where do you plan to park it?" Stark asked.
Peter looked at Shiler. Shiler sighed and said: "Alright, the sanitarium still has parking spaces. But you must promise me that you absolutely cannot drive it around in the sky."
"Don't worry, Doctor, I'm not a kid anymore." Peter said, "Besides, if I take it up in the sanitarium, Peder and Nelson will definitely shoot it down with guns. You should worry about the safety of the car."
Shiler was speechless, because he knew what Peter said was true. The mental patients in his sanitarium wouldn't let go of a car that could fly. He felt more and more that this was dangerous, but he had already promised, and it wasn't good to go back on his word immediately, so he could only keep an eye on it.
Independence Day is coming. Seeing Natasha walked down the hillside lawn: "This year is Steve's 100th birthday, he's going to be 100 years old. We decided to celebrate it well. Do you have any ideas, Doctor?"
"He is also the first centenarian I've ever known." Shiler laughed and said, "Of course, Madam, you are also the first 90-year-old I've ever known."
"That's not very polite, but I'll let it slide this time." Seeing Natasha shook her head and said, "Steve wants a dinner party, the kind of most traditional American family dinner. Everyone has to bring a dish they made themselves. I'm having a headache about this."
"You don't know how to cook?" Shiler was a bit surprised.
"What exactly are you surprised about?" Seeing Natasha looked a bit annoyed, "Which part of my life experience could have allowed me to learn how to cook? I never had the chance to learn, so of course I don't know how."
"You don't know Russian food either?"
"If you're talking about that kind of dry-as-a-bone bread, and the big mixed vegetable soup made by throwing all the vegetables into a pot, then I guess I know how. But I can't bring that, it's neither good-looking nor delicious, and it's not very grand. At least... at least I should make an Olivier salad, right?"
"What are the others planning to bring? I guess Peter will bring the raspberry pie his aunt is best at, Tony will probably bring cheeseburgers again, Clint is definitely Iowa sweet corn salad. As for me, I remember Steve likes the char siu I make, but I think I should bring something fresh, like roast goose or something."
"Alright, you're all master chefs. I should apply for a few days of vacation from Nick and practice my cooking skills." Seeing Natasha sighed long and said, "My god, my house doesn't even have a kitchen."
"I think you can try making a dessert." Shiler thought for a while and said, "For example, cupcakes or something, or you can try mixing drinks. As a Russian, you don't know how to mix drinks?"
"It's precisely because I'm Russian that I don't know how to mix drinks, we all drink straight from the bottle. Only you Americans would use that little hourglass that isn't even as long as my finger to drink industrial essence."
"I'm hearing someone describe a cocktail glass as a little hourglass for the first time." Shiler couldn't help laughing and said, "Maybe you can really try, rainbow cocktails are quite simple. By the way, what is Coulson bringing?"
"I guess he wants to bake a cake with Captain America's head on it, wishing even the chicken that laid the eggs was raised by himself. And when he brings that thing over, he will fill the whole room with all the words of praise in the world."
"Steve might give him a brand new set of flashcards, it's possible it's the set he took last Christmas."
"No, he might give him the navigator set." Seeing Natasha curled her lips and said, "That set has already been speculated to 600 dollars on the black market. Looks like someone is going to make a fortune at Steve's birthday party."
"You reminded me." Shiler said, "Cooking isn't difficult, the key is the gift. Have you thought about what to give?"
"Spare me." Seeing Natasha was almost wailing, "Or I'll give him a Soviet medal, so he'll have enough reason to get out of the United States on Independence Day."
"If you can get the real thing, he might actually like it." Now it was Shiler's turn to sigh, "I really can't think of what to give Steve. He's too untraditional in his traditionalism. Do I have to give him a moose sweater again?"
"You gave him a moose sweater last Christmas too?"
"Are you too?"
"Coulson too. And Nick. We sent moose sweaters of different styles separately. Steve looked quite happy."
"As long as someone gives him a gift, he's happy. Steve is just like that. So we can't tell what he really likes. If it were Tony, it would be simple, if what you give isn't right, he'll give you a face for a month."
"Was being kind a mistake?" Seeing Natasha reached out and combed her hair and said, "Maybe we should go ask Bucky, he's Steve's good buddy. They grew up together, he should know."
"That's true, no one knows Steve better than Bucky. It just so happens that his psychological assessment report for this month hasn't been handed in yet, I'll call and urge him. When he comes over, I'll ask sideways."
"I think he definitely knows what you're doing." Seeing Natasha didn't look hopeful, "He also has to prepare his share, in order not to crash, he can't tell you his choice either."
"Gift crashing is really too troublesome." Shiler took out his phone and said, "We must pull a group chat to confirm what everyone is giving. Otherwise, although Steve doesn't mind, it's too disrespectful to this centenarian."
"Alright, if you build it, pull me in. By the way, pull Ivan in too, I still have to learn Russian food from him."
While talking, they had already walked back to the front of the sanitarium gate. Seeing Natasha said with some emotion: "This location is really good."
"Alright Madam, are you going up to sit for a while, or are you leaving now? If you are going up, I have to remind you, my office is full of hairy monsters."
"It doesn't matter, I'll go see the little cat." Seeing Natasha said, "How is he? Does he still have diarrhea?"
"Much better lately." Shiler walked upstairs with her from the front door and took the elevator to the top floor. As soon as he pushed the door open, he saw a little black cat jump from the shelf to the computer desk.
"Hey, Torik, you better not be trying to bite my computer cable." Shiler rushed up and picked it up, and the other party turned his eyes away very humanly.
"Ah, you little bad cat." Seeing Natasha laughed, but then seemed to remember something and said, "Torik? Didn't you call him Nyarlathotep?"
"Yes, I unilaterally called him Nyarlathotep, but Nyarlathotep didn't quite agree, so I changed it to the name of his creditor."
"Creditor?"
"Anatoly. Torik is a nickname."
Seeing Natasha picked up the little cat and shook it in front of her eyes, and then said: "What do you think if I give Steve a pet? He looks like the kind of person who likes to raise a dog."
"If he really liked it, wouldn't he have raised one long ago?"
"Carter seems to be allergic to fur." Seeing Natasha said, "Maybe I can find pets that don't shed, like goldfish or something. Judging by Steve's personality, he will take good care of them."
"I think it's also okay, but you'd better ask Carter's opinion first. After all, little Rogers is still young, I'm not sure if his mother would be willing to add living things to the house at this time."
"Alright, I should pull the mothers into the same group chat." Seeing Natasha said while typing on her phone, "This way I can confirm at any time whether they are safe and sound, and I can also consult them about many similar human relationships. Married women are always much more informed in this regard."
"Seriously, Seeing Natasha, don't you plan to..."
"I'm also seriously, with friends around me getting married and having children, I'm really more and more..."
"More and more want to end single life?"
"More and more enjoy single life!" Seeing Natasha said while typing, "I'd rather go to the battlefield than be like a sheepdog, staring at children crawling all over the floor, and I can't stand being woken up by them in the middle of the night. Aren't you?"
Shiler reached out, Seeing Natasha understood and high-fived him. "Long live single life."
"Long live single life."
