Chapter 3775: The School Doctor's

~10 min read 1,893 words

The infirmary of Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is located on the second floor, occupying almost the entire eastern side. It features four wards, two examination rooms, two consultation rooms, and a doctor's office—one could say it is fully equipped.

The infirmary's decor matches the school's overall style: a highly luxurious, mysterious medieval Gothic castle aesthetic, or "Arrogant Happiness Style" for short.

As for whether Greed likes this style—if magic didn't exist, he would absolutely never have designed his office this way. Maintenance and cleaning alone would cost a fortune, and it wouldn't necessarily even get completely clean. Certain natural materials rot quickly, requiring redecoration every few years. This isn't building an office for himself; it's finding himself a living nightmare. Even if he didn't have to pay for it, he still wouldn't have it this way.

However, thanks to the existence of magic, maintenance and cleaning are no problem at all, and Shiler doesn't have to lift a finger. The office is clean and beautiful every day, so his acceptance of this style is much higher.

When Shiler moved into the office, he specifically called Wanda and Jarvis, so he wouldn't have to move things or tidy up. Professor Wanda, who is full of enthusiasm for housework, would keep the place in perfect order.

Because he had to prepare for the orientation, Shiler didn't head to his office right away. By the time he finished arranging the Great Hall and returned, everything had been taken care of.

As soon as he pushed open the door made of crystal, engraved with intricate constellation patterns, a beautiful Gothic-style office appeared before his eyes. The room was predominantly deep brown, and the freshly waxed floor shone like new.

The office has two levels. The first level is divided into three areas by decorative support pillars: there are floor-to-ceiling windows with pointed arches on both sides, a massive desk in the center with a full row of bookshelves behind it; a reception area with sofas on the right; and a decorative area filled with various peculiar magical items on the left.

On both sides of the central area are spiral staircases leading upstairs. The second-floor corridor is directly above the central area, with three doors: the archives on the left, a private reception room on the right, and a bedroom for resting in the middle.

A massive magical chandelier hangs from the ceiling, composed of over 200 candles. The frame is made of mithril shimmering with golden light, inlaid with many magical gems. The light of various celestial bodies constantly flickers, with the brilliance of shooting stars dotted in between.

The decorative area is even more dazzling: a magical globe that rotates on its own, quill pens floating in mid-air, magical books that occasionally flip open and shut, various crystal statues, and those little trinkets Shiler collected in the past. Although the stacking is a bit messy, it effectively neutralizes the serious and dull atmosphere of the deep brown wood.

Although Shiler's office is a bit larger than others, it is actually decorated quite simply. Strange's headmaster's office is even several times more luxurious than the Sanctum Sanctorum, with all sorts of rare treasures from the magical world moved there. Even someone who knows nothing about magic would be deeply shocked after entering.

The offices of ordinary professors like Wanda are similar—extremely luxurious and filled with a magical atmosphere, all to showcase the strength of their universe to students coming from various multiverses.

And the Great Hall, being the top priority, is certainly not shabby either. Even after the movie was released, it underwent further adjustments based on the opinions of many professional film critics and interior designers; it is currently as magnificent as human imagination can reach.

Even so, before the new students arrived, they still renovated and decorated it again to make the Great Hall look even more solemn and dignified.

The professors' attire is also very particular, basically consisting of a magnificent mage robe for everyone. The material used is Ancient One's favorite Chinese silk, and the patterns and designs on it are embroidered with magical thread; not only do they shimmer with all kinds of gorgeous light, but the patterns also change as one wishes, which is very beautiful.

Of course, many professors also wear the mage hats of popular stereotypes—those pointy hats—holding various staves, walking with the wind, their robes fluttering, more magical than magic itself.

On the day school started, most professors chose relatively calm colors for their attire: Strange wore a dark green robe, Wanda wore deep red, and Shiler wore a deep blue similar to a sapphire. It's just that because he isn't a professor, he didn't wear that pointy hat.

The Batmen were brought over by Lucifer, descending from the sky over Massachusetts and arriving directly at the entrance of the school's Great Hall. Looking at this towering ancient castle, the Batman of the Great Adventure Universe shook his head and sighed: "That really is a big deal."

Lego Batman stood on his shoulder, the little stars in his eyes popping out more and more. In his fantasy, he had already put on a mage robe, donned a pointy hat, and was holding a staff to fight the evil dragon for three hundred rounds.

It was also Lucifer's first time here. He is a character who loves to join in the fun, and he agreed to help Shiler transport people because Shiler promised to let him be a professor for a while.

That was, of course, before he knew Batman was coming to school. If he had known Shiler was truly crazy enough to bring so many Batmen over to attend school, including Bruce, who gave even Michael and Uriel headaches, he would have greased his heels and slipped away in a flash.

But since he had already agreed, he had to bite the bullet even if he couldn't do it. Lucifer looked down at his mage robe and comforted himself that he was only a guest professor, and no matter how much trouble Batman caused, it wouldn't be blamed on him.

"Alright." He stood still at the entrance of the Great Hall and said, "Everyone, divide into four columns, standing from lowest grade to highest. Check your appearance; the Sorting Ceremony is about to begin."

There are quite a lot of students in this batch, adding up to nearly a thousand in total. In fact, there aren't many children, because after the recovery of Qi, many adults discovered their magical talents, like Gwen, and they are the main force of this year's new students. Therefore, Batman, who is also an adult, doesn't seem particularly out of place among them.

Lucifer, as rehearsed in the script, waved his hand and changed everyone into school uniforms. The school uniforms are also mage robes, currently all black; they will change into different colors after the sorting, and then they will receive the mage hats corresponding to their houses.

"Which house do you think you'll be sorted into?" Lego Batman poked the ear of the Great Adventure Batman and said, "I think I'll definitely be sorted into the strongest one and become a world-famous great magician."

"Which house do you think is the strongest?" Great Adventure Batman asked back.

"Uh... what houses are there again?"

"Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune."

"... What?"

Great Adventure Batman said somewhat helplessly: "If you can't remember the names, just remember the colors: gold, white, brown, and blue. They correspond to the Business School, the School of Literature and Arts, the School of Engineering, and... the Sports School? Or perhaps it should be called the Battle School."

"Then I'm definitely in the Battle School!" Lego Batman made a boxing motion, then did a roundhouse kick, and patted his chest confidently, saying, "I will wield my staff and beat all those monsters who dare to invade Earth to the ground!"

Great Adventure Batman smiled. Lego Batman asked him: "Which house do you want to go to most?" Then he added nervously, "You don't want to go to the Battle School too, do you? I think... I think sometimes there's no need for fighting and killing..."

"I'd rather go to the School of Literature and Arts," Great Adventure Batman answered truthfully. "I don't expect myself to truly learn magic; I want to gain a deeper understanding of the principles of magic in this universe and acquire some genuine occult knowledge, which should also be able to be applied to the magical theories of my universe."

"That's so boring," Lego Batman curled his lip and said. "Studying those profound tomes all day is truly boring. When you go back and your Robin asks you 'How is your magic learning going?', are you going to tell them you spent all day soaking in the library?"

"You're right," Great Adventure Batman said. "However, being sorted into a house doesn't mean you can only do those things. If I need to learn combat, I won't refuse either."

Owlman stood with Bruce. When they walked into the hall, he whispered: "You're still hanging out with that stiff and boring guy?"

Bruce looked him over and said: "Are you talking about yourself?"

"I'm talking about that Batman who looks most like Batman. Haven't you been with him lately?"

"You know best who he's been with lately." Bruce smiled at him and said, "Which house do you want to go to?"

"Saturn House. How about you? Do you like Neptune?"

"Perhaps I should choose Mercury or Venus?"

Owlman didn't quite believe it. He glanced at the Main Universe Batman standing next to the Arkham Batman, and then said: "I guess they'll both choose Neptune. Who wouldn't want to learn how to fight with magic?"

"Are you worried they'll compete with you? But it doesn't seem like there's a limit on the number of people in a house, right?"

"I want to avoid them. Do you know how the sorting is done?"

"I don't know." Bruce straightened the lapel of his mage robe and said, "You don't really intend to attend classes properly, do you? Opportunities to travel to another great world without the restrictions of the Battleworld are rare."

Owlman's eyes flickered and he said: "You want to run off? The Sorcerer Supreme won't agree. We can't beat him, unless you have an inside connection."

"I do indeed." Bruce didn't deny it, and he said, "But if you think he'll pull me out, you're mistaken; he's probably the one who least wants us running around."

Owlman hummed softly and didn't speak again. Beside them, the Main Universe Batman and Arkham Batman were also talking in low voices.

"That guy is hanging out with Owlman again," Arkham Batman said. "I always feel he's up to no good."

"He's always more up to no good than you think. But if he's targeting Owlman, it's a good thing for us."

"Do you really intend to study here?" Arkham Batman asked again.

"At least until we find a way to deal with the Sorcerer Supreme, we'd better behave ourselves," Main Universe Batman said. "I once shared a body with someone from this universe. Stephen Strange is a very difficult guy to deal with; it's hard to hide anything under his nose."

"Difficult, which means there's still a chance?"

"Let's go in first and see." ===== CHAPTER 3776 =====
