Chapter 3807: The School Doctor's

~10 min read 1,892 words

Schiller's next plan was, of course, to kidnap them, then have Night Owl report to the Sorcerer Supreme, luring Strange here to have a fight with him. Then, he would pretend to be injured, forcing Night Owl to help him find herbs for treatment, which would drag things out even longer.

Although he had no way to communicate with the Main Universe Batman right now, not even through eye contact, he had an instinctive feeling that the Main Universe Batman should understand his intentions.

Schiller had just opened his mouth to speak when a voice suddenly came from behind him: "What's going on? Why are you all here?"

The few Batmen also looked toward the direction of the voice, and a small black shadow flew over.

"Good heavens, you have no idea how chaotic that eagle's nest is. He and his wife had four babies at once; I was almost crushed to death. If I hadn't run fast, they would have stuffed bugs into my mouth..."

It was Lego Batman. The Main Universe Batman felt a little relieved. He hadn't intended to harm Lego Batman, so he had just found an ordinary bald eagle. Not to mention that Lego Batman was made of plastic and the eagle shouldn't be able to eat him; Lego Batman knew magic, so apart from being startled at first, he could have used a spell to break free and wouldn't have been hurt.

But he had come at a terrible time. The Main Universe Batman had wanted to see how Schiller would act.

Just as he thought this, Schiller pointed a finger, and Lego Batman went "plop" and fell down. The Main Universe Batman walked up and picked him up, finding that his eyes had turned into "X"s and his tongue was sticking out; he appeared to have fainted.

The Main Universe Batman breathed a sigh of relief: thankfully Schiller reacted quickly. If Lego Batman had kept squawking, the atmosphere would have been ruined.

Schiller opened his mouth to say his lines again, but he saw a familiar figure on the path the Batmen had taken to get here. Bruce was flying over, flapping his wings.

"What are you all doing here?" Bruce stopped in mid-air, first glancing at the Batmen below, then his gaze fell on Schiller.

Fortunately, Bruce's psychoanalysis wasn't that great, nor did he have mind-reading powers, and Schiller had the Gray Mist, so Bruce couldn't see through his identity.

"Who are you?" Bruce asked, somewhat surprised.

"Go find the Sorcerer Supreme," the Main Universe Batman said. "Hurry, Bruce, I'm afraid you're no match for him."

Schiller, hidden under the hood, stared wide-eyed at the Main Universe Batman: You're really afraid he won't come over to fight me!

"I'm no match for him?! Let's see about that!" Bruce took the bait and went for it.

Schiller didn't let his guard down. Bruce was an angel, after all, and he hadn't forgotten his current persona: he couldn't use effects related to the mist, but should use ash instead. Fortunately, the Gray Mist itself could take any form, and it could create any kind of effect.

Bruce threw a punch at Schiller, only to find upon contact that it was just a charred phantom. A burst of ash drifted by, and a strong smell of burning filled the air.

Countless drifting ashes condensed back into a human shape, and Schiller appeared behind Bruce, extending a hand. Everyone heard him chant something in a low voice. Instantly, many black-and-red portals appeared in mid-air, and demonic hands wreathed in roaring flames reached out from the ovals, grabbing toward Bruce.

Holy light flashed on Bruce—once, twice, three times.

"What's going on? Why aren't these hellish things afraid of holy light?" Bruce frowned.

Schiller thought: Of course they aren't afraid, because this isn't from hell at all, and this universe doesn't have the rule that hell must fear heaven. Mephisto wouldn't fear angels either; he'd just find them troublesome and wouldn't want to interact with them much.

Bruce used holy light to draw a sword, slashed a few times to cut off all the demonic arms, and then held the sword in front of him. Increasingly dense holy light began to emanate from his body.

On the surface, he looked like he was charging up a big move, but in reality, he was using the holy light to make a phone call for reinforcements: "Lucifer! Lucifer, hurry over! There's a tough customer here in the Forbidden Forest!!!"

That's right, Bruce could use holy light in another world not because the power systems of the two universes were connected—in fact, they weren't, and even if they shared the same God, the holy light wasn't the same thing.

He could use it simply because Lucifer had come too. Lucifer acted as his large-scale power bank, and the holy light on his body was summoned from Lucifer.

Schiller knew Bruce too well; how could he not know what he was doing with that look on his face?

This disguise could fool Bruce, but it couldn't fool Lucifer. Although Lucifer might know they were filming a movie, he didn't know the script. If he called out his real name, it would all be over.

No, he had to find a way to shift the blame.

Schiller didn't hold back. Flames suddenly began to roar from his body, until the surrounding air was ignited. A massive magic circle made of ash appeared beneath his feet, and he began to chant.

Although it looked cool on the outside, in reality, he was also making a call for reinforcements: "Mephisto! Mephisto, hurry over! It's time to show off your power as the Lord of Hell! There are several Batmen here, and Bruce intends to drag Lucifer over for a fight. Don't you want to show off in front of your future believers? Hurry over!"

Schiller specifically reminded him: Don't use your own skin, come in your true form, and not your human true form, but your most terrifying, most intimidating demonic true form.

Upon receiving the call, both Lucifer and Mephisto were a bit confused: "What's going on? What happened to the Forbidden Forest?"

But both of them rushed over. Lucifer was afraid something truly bizarre would happen—after all, he had brought these people here, and he couldn't let anything happen to them; Mephisto was moved by Schiller's words, preparing to show off his strength in front of the Batmen.

Over the past few days, he naturally hadn't given up on recruiting the Batmen, but most of them were like stones in a latrine—stinky and hard—and he had been infuriated by them. Fine, you don't look up to devils? Today I'll let you see the power of a devil!

Mephisto wanted to make a big scene, and he didn't even look at who was coming; he just went for a claw swipe.

Lucifer was even more shocked: in thousands of years, this was the first person other than Michael who dared to hit him!

Lucifer was also not without a temper. He instantly spread his wings, his Morningstar Archangel skin ready, the highest win-rate rune of the Fall of Heaven configured—Come and fight!

By the time Strange arrived at the scene, the situation was already getting out of control. Both sides were truly fired up, and the divine power and hellish power had dyed half the sky red.

"I knew building the school next to Boston was a mistake!!!" Strange roared in frustration. "What are you doing! Stop fighting!"

In fact, if he had studied under the Ancient One for a few more days, he would have understood: in this situation, shouting was useless; he should have just raised his fists and beaten both sides.

But unfortunately, his skill tree had been skewed from the start, and he hadn't learned a single bit of the Ancient One's signature moves. With that shout, he was met with a claw swipe from Mephisto and a sword strike from Lucifer.

Lucifer and Mephisto's fight could be considered evenly matched. Lucifer, while powerful in his own world, was mainly powerful because of his authority; after coming here, although he could still use holy light, he had lost his authority, and his strength had dropped significantly. Mephisto, while not at that level, was a local snake, and with the Hell Dimension behind him, the two were evenly matched for a time.

The one who finally stopped them was Director Chris.

After discovering something was wrong in the Forbidden Forest, Director Chris had run to the edge of the forest as fast as he could. He couldn't tell it was an illusion spell and thought the Forbidden Forest was truly being destroyed, so he shouted: "Props team, props team! Hurry over!! Protect the props!!"

That shout brought Mephisto back to his senses. Indeed, if they kept fighting and broke the props in the Forbidden Forest, the movie wouldn't be able to be released on time, and his plan to gain followers would be indefinitely delayed.

He hurriedly pulled back his strength, even taking a few hits from Lucifer. Lucifer also sobered up and hurriedly checked to see if he had damaged anything.

Both of them saw Strange's long, angry face at the same time.

"Ahem, I can explain," Mephisto said.

Lucifer was just about to speak when he turned his head and saw a face exactly like Schiller's. After fighting Mephisto for so long, nothing had caused him as much damage as this moment; the mighty Lucifer Morningstar almost choked to death on the spot.

"You, you, you, you, you..."

Mephisto suddenly remembered that he hadn't used this image to see Lucifer, but he was very good at reading people. After staring at Lucifer for a while, he said: "What's going on? You and Schiller..."

Mephisto's face was full of "I don't understand, but I'm deeply shocked." He said in horror: "Your friend isn't your current friend, but they share a face. Is this what humans call a 'body double romance'?!"

Lucifer raised his sword to strike.

In the end, almost all the Sorcerers arrived, and they finally managed to pull the two apart. Fortunately, both had shown some restraint, and only a small area had been destroyed, though it would take some time to repair, and the filming schedule was delayed again.

Director Chris wasn't too angry. He had arrived very quickly and caught the second half of the fight. While Strange was busy cursing Mephisto, he squeezed through the crowd like a loach, came to Lucifer, shook his hand enthusiastically, and looked at him with passionate eyes, using a familiar tone: "Hello, Mr. Angel, could I take a few minutes of your time?"

"Uh, what do you want?"

"May I ask your honorable name?"

"Lucifer Morningstar."

Chris gasped.

Then Lucifer watched as this human director grabbed his hand with both of his and shook it violently, looking at him with unparalleled enthusiasm, using a tone he had heard somewhere before: "May I ask, sir, would you be willing to fight again?!"

?? My stomach hurts /(tot)/~~

"Lucifer Morningstar."

Chris gasped.

Then Lucifer looked at this human director, shook his hand fiercely with both hands, looked at him with incomparable enthusiasm, and said in a tone that seemed familiar: "May I ask, are you willing to fight again?!"

?? Stomach hurts /(tot)/~~
