Chapter 645: Survival in the Wild—A Great Failure (Part 1)
It was proven beyond doubt that Batman was the DC editorial department's literal father figure; no matter the environment or circumstance, Batman always found a way out.
Bruce handed all the finished fish traps to Arthur, then began crafting a rope ladder from the remaining fiber rope and wooden sticks—the ladder could be lowered from the cave platform, eliminating the need to descend slowly along the rock ledges.
After finishing the ladder, Bruce crafted a set of metal tools—far superior to Arthur's crude stone-hammered metal shards; the metal parts were honed razor-sharp, perfectly sized and shaped, the wooden handles meticulously calculated to match natural force application, and the wood itself polished smooth for a comfortable grip.
With the tools complete, Bruce turned to using them to improve their survival conditions; Hal watched him work for a while, then walked over and asked, "How did you get here? Did you fly in? Where's your plane?"
