Chapter 915: Starry Splendor (Part 2)

~10 min read 1,907 words

On the way to the crashed inspection ship, Stark turned his head to look at Shiler and asked, "Is your ultimate goal really just to get some scrap metal from the starport and the ship, and while you're at it, incite a war between two great empires, and while you're at it, share some technology with the mutants, and while you're at it..."

At this point, Stark sighed to himself and said, "Fine, these goals are already numerous enough, and the entire plan is crazy enough."

"After dragging their souls into Heaven, you forced them to hand over the locations and authorization codes for their secret bases, emptied their coffers, and stuffed the things you didn't need into Nick's secret warehouse."

"And because of the absence of superheroes, the Skrulls, just as you expected, impatiently took the stage, transformed into our likeness, and replaced our positions."

"But being a superhero is not an easy business at all. You utilized their guilty conscience and arranged all sorts of conspiracies to make them waver."

"Using the warehouse that was previously full of junk, you manufactured all kinds of non-existent attacks, causing the impostor Spider-Man to fall into a whirlpool of public opinion and doubt himself, causing the impostor Captain America to suffer physical trauma and exhaustion, and causing the impostor Iron Man to be busy with academic competition until he had a mental breakdown."

"More importantly, a group of peace-loving Skrulls who were unwilling to invade humanity had long since contacted Nick, and the leader of this group, Talos, told you exactly what kind of person the war-faction leader, General K'n'r, really was."

"You used your most proficient methods to lead him on, making him attempt to control Spider-Man, constantly urging and pressuring Captain America, and using violent means to treat Iron Man, resulting in a total loss of popular support."

"Then, you used mutants with shapeshifting abilities to break his psychological defenses, making him flee in a panic, and finally used the Earth's magical defense network to intercept his transmission signal, find the location of the *Polaris*, and crash the ship into the Kree starport."

"And now, I have only one question..." Stark squinted his eyes and looked at Shiler, asking, "When did you formulate this entire plan? Was it from the moment Nick told you about the existence of the Skrulls?"

Hearing this question, Shiler smiled and said, "I told you before, when facing K'n'r at Stark Tower at the end, Mystique and Rogue infiltrated Stark Tower in advance to inform that Skrull scientist of General K'n'r's intentions."

"That scientist named Ar'n-Gael didn't trust K'n'r to begin with and was willing to hide according to what we said, with Mystique continuing to play the role of Iron Man."

Stark took a deep breath and recalled, "At that time, Nick told you that there might be an alien race capable of perfect disguise, ready at any time to replace us and control humanity."

"Mystique has innate shapeshifting abilities, so she can perfectly disguise herself as Iron Man, but you should know that Rogue doesn't have this ability, yet in the end, she still disguised herself as me."

Stark frowned and said, "I heard that Rogue, oh, that is, Rogue, her ability is to absorb the mutant abilities of others. It's possible she absorbed Mystique's ability, and therefore could also shapeshift."

"But the person being absorbed is dazed during the process of Rogue using her ability and cannot use the ability that was absorbed from them. How could you let both of them shapeshift at the same time?" Shiler raised a question, but then he answered it himself:

"When I first met Rogue, Professor X told me that she is a mutant with infinite potential. There were a few times when she became able to use the absorbed ability for a long time, but the prerequisite was that she had to have prolonged contact with the other person."

Stark grasped the key point in his words and said, "In other words, when you let Rogue start contacting Mystique and absorbing her shapeshifting ability, you already had the entire plan. When did that start?"

"You should still remember that I borrowed the Underworld ship to Professor X as a school bus before, right?" Shiler smiled again.

Stark was stunned for a moment and said, "You started from that time... Wait a minute, you have always wanted a resurrection quota, could it be because..."

Stark took a deep breath and covered his forehead. He felt that all of Shiler's plan lines were tangled into a mess in his wise brain, which actually made him unable to sort it out for a moment.

Calculating death to obtain a resurrection quota, and inciting an interstellar war—which one was the cause, and which one was the effect?

Helping mutants, and obtaining rewards from mutants to help with the next step of the plan—which one was the process, and which one was the result?

"Thus, you and Nick formulated a fake-death plan, hired an assassin to kill Nick, and at the same time used the resurrection quota in your hand to let him enter Heaven."

How many people have been tested and improved themselves in this plan?

How many factions have obtained huge benefits that were within reach?

How many factions have been liquidated and purged because of this?

How much has humanity gained, and how much has the solar system gained?

What price will the Kree Empire and the Skrull Empire have to pay?

In the vast starry sky of the universe, when a huge star appeared in Stark's field of vision, he saw a dark and deep power obscuring the star's intense light.

This sun, because of his madness, unreasonableness, and full-hearted conspiracies, suddenly turned black. What remained unchanged was that he was still shining, and humanity's stars were brilliant.

Stark was silent for the whole journey until they arrived at the planet where the inspection ship crashed.

This impact was very tragic, even directly affecting the planet's rotation. Everyone saw the huge spaceship at a glance and discovered the Kree mark on it.

Polaris suddenly spoke up and said, "Wait! The magnetic field is telling me there are survivors... right inside the spaceship!"

"Subsequently, using Nick's death and the absence of the S. H. I. E. L. D. Director, you let Spider-Man take the initiative to find helpers in the multiverse, completing the multiverse labor trafficking plan that you and Nick had been thinking about."

"How many?" Shiler asked.

"Only one." Polaris frowned, trying to concentrate, and said, "Probably... at this location. Wait, his vital signs are constantly weakening. He should be bleeding. He might have suffered very heavy injuries..."

"Cut a hole directly and go in." Shiler looked at the ship cabin Polaris was pointing to and said, "The person on the other side is very likely a Kree officer. Capture him; he will bring us greater benefits."

Stark, wearing his armor, flew over and said, "I'll do it. Who knows who is on the other side? It's best not to make too much noise. I'm not that guy who would rather die than sneak attack."

Originally, Iron Man's laser could not smoothly cut through the defensive armor of the Kree spaceship, but because the entire spaceship was crashed to the point of falling apart and the outer hull plating was blown away, the entire spaceship became thin-skinned and soft-hearted. Stark used the laser to cut out a passage that could accommodate one person.

Seeing the scene inside the spaceship, Stark said, "I finally know why that Kree got injured. The explosions here haven't stopped at all. Without some skill, you can't move around here."

"Fine, I am the person without skill you mentioned. You two go in and catch him out; I won't go in." Shiler shrugged and said, "The symbiote is afraid of loud noises and explosions. Just before the spaceship crashed, I used a portal to hide elsewhere."

Stark looked back at him but didn't say anything, and flew in with Polaris.

Entering the interior of the spaceship, both of them had means of self-protection. Stark brought many energy cores, so he was not afraid to activate his maximum-intensity shield. Polaris had magnetic field protection, so the explosions couldn't threaten her.

The two of them encountered mountains and opened mountains, encountered stones and split stones, and went directly to the location of the survivor sensed by Polaris with the shortest distance.

"When everyone's eyes are focused on Peter, you then use the New Warriors team and the mutant twins to create a huge explosion sufficient to kill Spider-Man, rendering the intense and fierce conflict to its peak."

Stark looked at Polaris and said, "You do it or I do it?"

Polaris rolled her eyes and said, "I'll do it. I think I can disguise this incident as an accident."

After speaking, she glanced at Luonan, who was constantly looking for an escape ship in the spaceship's docking bay, reached out and grabbed, and the beam above Luonan's head smashed down directly. Luonan dodged quickly, and with a "bang," he was slapped to the ground by a door flying over from the side.

Confirming that he had lost consciousness, Polaris and Stark carried Luonan out. Shiler, who heard their crime process, stroked his chin and said, "You mean, you didn't let him discover that it was humans who did it?"

Polaris nodded and said, "Recent high-intensity work has allowed my control over the magnetic field to reach another level. I was very cautious; he definitely didn't discover it."

Shiler revealed a malicious smile, and after Stark and Polaris saw his expression, they all stepped back slightly.

Between the flickering lights, a burst of stinging pain came from his forehead. Luonan could feel himself lying on the cold ground wanting to wake up, but he was powerless to do so.

The next second, he felt an electric current pass through his body. Luonan let out a scream and then woke up in shock.

Appearing in front of him was a human wearing a white lab coat and possessing white skin.

Luonan saw that the human smiled and said to him, "Hello, Kree General, I am a human doctor. We discovered you in the wreckage of the spaceship and saved you..."

"You knew clearly that Steve would be very sad after learning of Peter's death and would be eager to find out the secret behind Spider-Man's death. Utilizing his distraction, you set a trap and killed him."

Luonan lay on the cold bed, looking at the ceiling that had no seams at all, and the huge sun outside the window beside him that couldn't be seen in its entirety. He snorted coldly and then said:

"Skrulls, this trick of yours is already too outdated."

"Then, I also went to Heaven with you. All the superheroes who could guard New York were dead."

"You then returned to New York, used the shadow of the Iron Curtain's return to oppress the masterminds behind the scenes, making them seek help from mutants, pulling mutants from the edge of society back into the core of power, making everyone realize that only Professor X has the ability to check and balance you."

"Subsequently, when all superheroes were absent and your invasion with the vampires was carried out simultaneously, that group of masterminds chose to preserve themselves rather than the public, and thus, you could justifiably execute them." ===== CHAPTER 916 =====
