"You mean the son of Hoenn Gym Leader Norman—that Takao?"

Baimu studied the other's face carefully; once it was converted from a 2D plane into a three-dimensional image, some celebrities weren't that easy to recognize.

Takao was also surprised that Baimu could connect his name to his background the moment he heard it. After a quick guess, he asked, "Big Brother, have you challenged the Petalburg Gym?"

"No, I'm preparing to challenge the gyms in the Hoenn region, so I did some homework online in advance and that's how I know your name."

The latter shook his head and casually offered a reason. "My name is Baimu, just call me by my name."

In the anime, Norman, the Petalburg Gym Leader, has one daughter and one son: the daughter is May, and the son is Takao. He once accompanied Ash and Brock on their travels through Hoenn and Kanto, and saw quite a few legendary Pokémon.

Anyone who had watched the anime basically couldn't possibly not know him.

From the looks of it, as Ash traveled to other regions, Takao had finally turned ten and gained the qualification to set out on a journey.

Takao had no reason to doubt him. His father and sister were both very famous figures—one was considered a strong contender for the next Hoenn Elite Four, and the other was hailed as the Hoenn Dance Princess, a top-tier Coordinator reserve.
