Chapter 91: Author
Last night I received notification—I’m finally going live.
Go-live time: November 23 at 12:00 PM.
Thank you to all readers who have voted, tipped, and left comments for this book.
I’d like to take this opportunity to chat with fellow readers about writing, and the future direction of this story.
This year, due to a job change, I gained more free time than ever before.
So I finally acted on my long-held desire to try web literature.
I tried submitting a few drafts internally but had no method.
So I went back and rewrote the opening several times, scrapped a few versions myself, and when I reached the third draft, I impulsively published it.
Around ten thousand words in, the editor picked it up—it was lucky, and I thank Jiang Cha for that.
I remember receiving the message while waiting for a red light; the excitement when I saw it, but what stuck with me most was the chorus of car horns behind me, haha.
Compared to several other popular Hong Lou Wen novels released at the same time, this one’s data isn’t impressive.
But that’s not an issue for me, because I’ve maintained deep passion for the entire story from start to finish.
Simply finishing it fully has already been a compelling pleasure.
I look forward to the moment when the story ends but the characters’ lives continue—pure exhilaration.
Through the first two hundred thousand words, I’ve gained invaluable experience with web literature—extremely precious.
I’ve also received many valuable suggestions from readers; I’ve saved every single one and sincerely thank you all!
The first twenty thousand words have laid the groundwork for the protagonist’s early growth; the second volume will see a significant upward shift, with more frequent climaxes and satisfying moments than the first two hundred thousand!
Every time I read Hong Lou Meng, I can’t help but imagine the era behind the text, the magnificent landscapes it describes.
Where there is a realm, there are beauties.
Daiyu’s ethereal grace, Tan Chun’s briskness, Ying Chun’s gentleness, Xiangyun’s sweet innocence, Wu’er’s frail delicacy, Qingwen’s charming beauty, Keqing’s allure…
A thousand reds in one cave, ten thousand beauties sharing the same sorrow.
Readers who’ve carefully read Hong Lou Meng likely all wish those gifted, exquisite girls could have a happy ending.
And what a grand, sweeping scene must that Hong Lou realm have been!
Let your imagination run wild.
Then, just write it all out.
…
After going live, I’ll post two updates daily as standard, and may add extra chapters based on plot needs and word count, adjusting according to circumstances and reader feedback.
The first VIP chapter serves as a bridge to the following plot—it’s the crucial trigger for Jia Cong’s expansion into the world beyond Jia Fu; don’t miss it.
Finally, please support the first subscription—help me avoid a disastrous collapse. Thank you!
