a mage, I could only wonder how he had the gals to say he can solo the boss.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Just one scratch from the would hospitalize this smug bastard, yet he was bragging.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Though most of my irritation came from the fact that Klaus had this awesome class that gave him magic spells, while I could only choose skills that made me better at fucking.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>So unfair!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Ruby and Lina were standing a few steps away, after assuring us that they will be here to help if we cannot handle the boss ourselves.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>We walked deeper into the darkness, my heart thumping with every step into the unknown.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I could barely see 1 meter ahead of me, it felt like we were walking down a straight line, a narrow path that opened up into a bigger room.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Unlike the rest of the labyrinth, this room was lit in a dim, blue glow.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There was no illumination source in sight, yet everything appeared crystal clear.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There was a door at the end of the room, appearing similar to the door that we just entered.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And in the center of it, was an ant.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A giant, red ant.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Ugh, Red Anthro!\" Greg cursed under his breath, shooting Lina a glance.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"You can do it, it’s slow, use the speed against it.\" Lina cutely pumped up her hand, cheering her boyfriend like an absolute sweetheart.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I was trying hard not to get jealous of this man.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Goddamn, how many good deeds did he commit in his past life to deserve such a good partner?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Luckily for me, the ant stole all of our attention.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It rose to its 6 legs, opening the mandibles and screeching at us in rage.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Its chitinous armor was glinting in the mysterious dim light, eyes locked onto us.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Thankfully, it was slow, just as Ruby and Lina had already told us.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"FIREBALL!\" Klaus shouted from behind, pulling out a wand from his jacket and aiming it at the ant like an experienced wizard from the Harry Potter films.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Heeding his command, I watched mana obediently flowing at the tip of his wand, slowly compacting, getting hotter and hotter.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It barely took a second or two for the fireball to get ready, burning at a dangerously high temperature.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He shot it at the ant, hitting it on the armoured body.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The ant shrieked again, in pain and even more rage.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Get ready, Aaron.\" Greg said to me while unsheathing his saber.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I scoff, pulling out my falcata from its scabbard, locking my eyes onto the incoming monster.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I was really tempted to use reverse senses on the beast, I had a feeling that it would be fun to watch the ant squirm and shriek in pain after I slice off its leg.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Alas, I was level 4 with no skill.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I dash to the left of the ant while Greg went right.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I tried to target their joints on the abdomen, the thinnest parts of their body that was easiest to attack... normally.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But this was no mere ant, it was a boss monster of floor 1.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was not harmless like a tiny little insect that you can crush under the foot.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The ant’s legs appeared thin and sharp, strong enough to slice through our flesh with ease.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And despite being only half my height, I couldn’t afford to take it for granted.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I slash my falcata in a wide arc, finally using Ruby’s teachings as I slice off a leg cleanly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Its blood was yellowish in colour, thick enough that it barely leaked out of the wound.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>From the other side, Greg also managed to slice off a leg, heavily ruining the ant’s balance as Klaus’s next fireball hit it perfectly on the head.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Were all fights supposed to be this easy?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>This was a boss monster, hell it barely lasted a few slices!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And it wasn’t even just me, Klaus and Greg were similar to my level and they were
