Have a good night,\" the driver smiled back politely.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Mmhm, good night to you as well.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After the final pleasantries, I quickly made my way into the restobar, passing through the tantalizing rich aroma of food.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There were all kinds of scents, spicy, tangy, meaty, alcoholic, and even some whiffs of high quality stuff.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But ignoring all those, I climbed the staircase.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Eva had told me that they all were gathered onto the rooftop, which also served as a mini club that had an ongoing live dj but nothing too fancy.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was a great place to chill, all in all.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Eva,\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Once on the rooftop, it wasn’t hard to find the raven haired beauty as she was standing quite close to the gate.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And hearing my voice, she turned around with panic evident in her eyes.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Aaron–\" she yelped as if she hadn’t been the one that called me here in the first place, but once her bearings were collected, she lowered her head.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Claire is not here right now.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I looked at her half expecting it to be a joke.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After all, why else did she call me here? But looking behind her, I could see some fucked up scenes that didn’t belong to a respectable restobar.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There were some splatters of blood, the chairs and tables were broken into splinters, all of them scattered as if a huge hurricane had swept over this place.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Barely anyone was on the rooftop, only a couple few people sitting in some remaining chairs while smoking and chatting to each other.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The dj system was broken and in shambles, sparking with electricity every once in a while.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And in addition, I was unable to see anyone of Claire’s friend group here, except Eva of course.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Keeping all this in mind, I sighed, \"Where is she then?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"In the hospital.\" Eva moved closer, her hand on my shoulder as she looked at me apologetically.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As if she was the one who caused all this.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But I, on the other hand, was feeling too confused about this situation.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Also a little irritated at how slowly Eva was revealing such key information.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Maybe noticing my doubts and confusion, Eva took a deep breath to calm herself as she went into the story telling mode. Her voice was gentle and mellow, with the small undertone of sadness.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She told me from the start, when I had finished the call with Claire and she had told me that they were going to drink.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>All of them were happy as they had managed to save Jaq, while also gaining quite a few freebies from the government for actively supporting in the crisis.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Regardless, in the midst of festivities, they ended up ordering a tad bit overdose of alcohol than they could all handle.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They were all nearing their limits in just 10-15 minutes of drinking, due to Katie’s continuous insistence on taking shots as she wanted to drown in her grief.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After which they wanted to leave the excess alcohol as they had no more capacity left, but Claire was against it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She berated them for being wasteful and drunk a nearly 3\u002F4 th bottle in one chug to show them not to waste good alcohol.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was a cool show at that moment, but when the alcohol hit, Claire got muddled.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Eva repeatedly mentioned that Claire was so drunk that she was sitting on a bench with a foolish grin, scrolling her phone when she suddenly got mad and smashed it onto the ground at full force.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And of course, Claire being a high levelled raider, the phone exploded into countless shards of glass and electronics, causing quite a carnage.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Unluckily, few of those shards ended up injuring a male on the nearby table.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It had left a big cut on his cheek, slightly grazing his eye to the point that slight blindness was a surety and total blindness was a possibility.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>At that point in the story, I sighed deeply.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It wasn’t hard to guess what happened after.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The people who were with that guy probably got enraged after their lovely protected flower was damaged.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And this resulted in a huge brawl that ended up sending Claire to hospital.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"You guys caused such a big mess in just 40-50 minutes...\" I felt speechless, glaring at Eva, \"And why didn’t you tell me about her hospitalization on the call?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Eva quickly defended herself, \"I didn’t know it would become such a big deal! Claire and us had beaten off the guy’s group, but we didn’t expect them to bring in their friends 10 minutes later!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>That made much more sense, and the timings also checked out.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I see, well fuck that.\" I snorted, \"Take me to Claire, and how bad is it?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Eva nodded instantly, grabbing my hand without being asked before rushing down the stairs with uncanny speed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And I also felt a warm glow enveloping around me, making my body feel lighter and much more flexible.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Must have been her skill to make me faster, and capable of matching her speed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"We took her to the Laby Hospital, and it’s not serious, but she was beaten pretty badly.\" Eva said while slipping through the crowds easily, before continuing:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I had a talk with Jaq earlier, she told me that there were quite a few bones broken. Even with potions, it will take her at least a few weeks to recover fully.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I could only nod at her words as we sat into a classy black sedan which Eva swiftly drifted onto the road, driving towards the hospital.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>In all honesty, I didn’t have much of a deep bond with Claire, as I barely knew her for one day.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Yet, the thought of her getting hurt didn’t sit right with me.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I didn’t get the feelings of revenge, as I knew it was way out of my current limits, yet I knew one thing.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>I didn’t want such a thing to happen again.\u003C\u002Fp>",1151,"2026-06-09T06:09:26.870Z",1,"novelbin.me","b08ce8e7d811a79f2ada0eab1eefa22d47964a91fcaf4d68cc305b11fa4c9f06","my-life-in-a-fantasy-women-dominated-world-chapter-41","my-life-in-a-fantasy-women-dominated-world-chapter-39",213,"https:\u002F\u002Fnovelzhen.com\u002Fimages\u002Fcovers\u002Fmy-life-in-a-fantasy-women-dominated-world-cover.jpg"]
