Chapter 2147: Disaster Relief Performance

"Friends in front of the TV, welcome to watch the Yugong Group TV Station noon news."

The Yugong Group TV station had been broadcasting for less than a month, so apart from news, it didn't have its own programs and played movies 24 hours a day.

In this era, no one paid copyright fees; you could broadcast whatever you wanted after buying a videotape, and most of them were pirated. According to Station Manager Liu Caihua, the Group's TV station was just established, funds were tight, and they had to save.

Liu Caihua was the deputy station manager of the municipal TV station. Originally, the old lady was going to retire next year, but the Yugong Group established a TV station and poached her. She didn't even consider it and handled a sick leave retirement.

For this old lady, money was secondary; she was afraid of having nothing to do after retirement, so she handled the sick leave retirement without hesitation. Because if she waited until next year to retire normally, would there be any role for her at the Yugong Group TV station?

After the old lady took office, the first thing was to organize a team and develop programs, but this stuff couldn't be done in a day or two. Even if they copied from the municipal station or provincial station, they needed corresponding talent.

So, what to do when programs hadn't been developed yet? Of course, it was ratings.

And the most effective and fastest way to occupy ratings was to play movies, 24 hours a day, and then the old lady sent people to buy videotapes, whether from Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Europe and America.

Anyway, they were an enterprise TV station, and the review wasn't that strict. And the effect of playing movies 24 hours a day appeared immediately; in just a few days, it suppressed the municipal TV station.

"Since June, heavy rain has continued in many parts of the country, causing serious flood disasters. The Central Meteorological Observatory has issued more than 90 heavy rain warnings for more than 30 consecutive days, a duration rare in recent years. The whole country has fully entered the main flood season, and flood control and flood fighting are facing severe tests.

Yesterday morning at 10:00, according to the flood control and flood prevention warning issued by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Group Chairman Zhou Andong presided over a meeting and made a series of deployments in response to the severe flood control and flood prevention situation..."

The Group TV station news was 20 minutes long, and the entire 15-minute report was news about the city and the Group's flood control and flood prevention, which made Gu Bing very impatient.

"It's almost over, why hasn't it been broadcast yet?"

"What are you in a hurry for?"

Zhou Andong picked up a piece of pork ribs and watched the TV without blinking.

At this moment, they were interviewing the director of the Municipal Meteorological Bureau.

"The reason why the rainfall in the flood season is so fierce, long-lasting, and powerful is that the most important reason is good water vapor conditions. The plum rain lingering in the Jiangnan and Jiang Huai areas is the continuous rainfall brought by sufficient water vapor.

In addition, as the behind-the-scenes pusher of the flood season weather in our country, the strength and position of the subtropical high determine the distribution changes of the rain belt in most parts of our country.

The consequence of such strong rainfall is that the water levels of rivers, lakes, and reservoirs rise rapidly, especially in the Yangtze River Basin, where some rivers have appeared above-warning floods, and some tributaries have experienced floods exceeding history.

Local flood and geological disasters are serious, which is worrying. Since the flood season, more than 300 rivers across the country have experienced floods above the warning level, and emergency signals have been issued continuously...

And our city will have continuous rainfall in the next five to seven days, and the intensity is high, the rainfall is large, and the rainfall is more than double the same period in normal years.

The rain situation in this year's flood season has three characteristics: a wide range of heavy rain, large rainfall, and strong extremity. During the entire month of June, except for Liaoning Province, Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province were soaked in rain for half the time.

Especially in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, the western part of Jilin Province, and other local areas, the number of rainy days exceeded 15 days. 21 national meteorological observation stations broke the extreme value of daily rainfall in June, and 5 stations including Harbin broke historical extreme values..."

The expression on Zhou Andong's face became more and more serious. He knew that the flood disaster this year was very serious, but he didn't expect it to be so serious.

"Huilin!" Zhou Andong swallowed what was in his mouth. "There are too many disaster-stricken areas in the country. Relying solely on our Group's donations is just a drop in the bucket; it won't work."

"Fundraising?"

Wu Huilin immediately understood Zhou Andong's meaning; after all, Hong Kong often held charity fundraising.

Zhou Andong nodded. "Led by us, we will unite with Future Culture to hold an anti-flood and disaster relief fundraising art performance. Of course, in order to expand influence, this matter still needs to find CCTV."

"Okay!" Wu Huilin put down her chopsticks. "You contact Future Culture, and I will contact various enterprises, especially our Jiangzhou Industrial Park, which has hundreds of large and small enterprises. 300,000 or 500,000 is not too much, and 3,000 or 5,000 is not too little; we don't force it."

"Don't forget Wu Hongkang and Zhang Shenghui." Zhou Andong laughed. "We are partners."

Wu Huilin also laughed. "You should be responsible for notifying those two."

"Okay!" Zhou Andong agreed. "As for the enterprises we are not familiar with, as long as we let out the wind, those with responsibility and conscience will definitely give feedback."

Just at this moment, the interview ended, the TV screen turned, and returned to the studio.

"Last night, the Beishan Police Station received a report that someone was engaged in illegal activities at the Beishan Hotel. Our station reporter followed the police to interview on the front line..."

Received a report, Beishan Hotel, illegal activities; these words immediately attracted the attention of most people, and they all stopped eating and looked up at the TV.

"F*ck your mother, do you know who I am?"

"Believe it or not, with one word, I'll strip off your skin?"

"My name is Yin Mo, my father is Yin Mingsheng, and he is the Liaoning Provincial Party Secretary."

"Wearing this dog skin, do you not know what your surname is?"

"My name is Gu Yang, my grandfather is Gu Jinshan. If you dare to arrest me, I'll kill you."

"F*ck your mother, you bunch of dogs, your noses are quite sensitive; you came smelling the scent."

"Okay, I'll go with you; I want to see how much guts you have."

"..."

In this era, it wasn't popular to blur faces. Yin Mo and the others' arrogant flames and ugly faces were completely exposed to the eyes of the people of Jiangzhou.

"F*ck!" A young employee cursed. "Damn it, no wonder they are so arrogant; they are actually the son of the Provincial Party Secretary."

"Sigh!" A middle-aged man shook his head and said, "Just watch, arrested today, and they will be released tonight. If it goes wrong, the police who arrested them might really be stripped of their clothes."

"No way!" A young man next to him said, "Our TV station reported it. Even if it's the Secretary's son, they can't break the law and not be punished."

"You are still too young." The middle-aged man smiled. "If it were us, that's breaking the law, but for the leader's son, that's called relaxing."

Similar discussions were everywhere. Gu Bing looked up at Zhou Andong. "Did you arrange it?"

"What do you mean I arranged it?" Zhou Andong said angrily. "They broke the law and committed crimes and were caught by the police; what does it have to do with me?"

"Right, it has nothing to do with you." Gu Bing laughed. "Then let me ask you, will it really be like the discussion, that Yin Mo and the others will be released tonight?"

Zhou Andong took a toothpick and leaned back. "You have to believe in our people's guardians; they will definitely not fear power and will enforce the law impartially."

Gu Bing looked up at the TV. "Even if they don't fear power and enforce the law impartially, just prostitution, it seems like it won't cause them much damage."

"No matter how much damage it causes them, even if they were killed, how much significance does it have for us?" Zhou Andong looked at Gu Bing. "From the beginning, they were not my target; they just appeared at the right time and the right place."

Gu Bing frowned. "What do you mean?"

Zhou Andong stood up and stretched. "My target is Yin Mingsheng. His son was caught breaking the law, and it was because of prostitution. Do you know how much lethality this has for that high-and-mighty Secretary?"

Gu Bing suddenly realized, and a smile appeared on his face. "And these guys are so arrogant. The common people will definitely think that these guys must often use their family background to do whatever they want and bully the common people.

And Yin Mingsheng just took office. In the hearts of the common people, he has already become a corrupt official. No matter if he intervenes in his son's affairs or not, his reputation is ruined." ===== CHAPTER 2148 =====
