Chapter 2731: Layered Subcontracting
"What?" The second devil was startled, his face turning pale instantly.
"Shout your ass!" Old Seven cursed, quickly glancing out the car window, and only after seeing no one did he exhale: "Are you afraid others won't hear you?"
"No, no!" The second devil shook his head vigorously: "Just... killing Zhou Andong, this..."
Old Seven's face darkened instantly: "It's not like I'm asking you to kill him—what are you scared of, a chicken feather?"
"Yeah, yeah, it's not like I'm going to kill Zhou Andong, scared of a chicken~!" The second devil's face returned to normal: "Big Brother Seven, I'm going to find my cousin right now—you gotta lend me the car, or I won't be able to sleep holding this fifty thousand yuan; what if it gets stolen?"
"Fine!" Old Seven glanced at his own fifty thousand yuan, realizing it wasn't safe even in the car—it needed to go home for peace of mind: "You drive, take me home first."
"Okay!" The second devil grabbed the car keys, climbed into the driver's seat, and smoothly pressed the clutch, started the engine, shifted gears, pressed the accelerator, and drove off.
More than ten minutes later, the minivan stopped in front of a residential building. Old Seven hugged the money in his shirt and got out of the car.
The second devil shouted: "Big Brother Seven, should I come pick you up later?"
"No need!" Old Seven waved his hand without turning back: "I'll take a taxi to the dance hall myself—after you're done, just go straight back."
Old Seven jogged up to the fourth floor, took out his key, opened the door, and as soon as he entered, saw his wife sitting on the sofa, picking at her toenails while applying nail polish.
This woman had an excellent figure—truly well-proportioned. She wasn't stunningly beautiful, but certainly not ugly. Hearing the door, she looked up, saw Old Seven return, a flicker of surprise crossed her eyes, then she lowered her head again, continuing to pick at her toes, murmuring softly.
"How come you're back already, just after leaving?"
Old Seven plopped down beside his wife, wrapped an arm around her shoulders, and grinned: "Honey, I missed you after just a little while—so I came back."
"Get lost!" The woman shrugged her shoulders, then shoved Old Seven away, dissatisfied: "Can't you see I'm putting on nail polish? You've got no observational skills at all—look, you've smudged it all."
Old Seven didn't waste words, flung open his shirt, and slammed five stacks of hundred-yuan bills heavily onto his wife's thigh: "Honey, this is all yours."
Seeing the thick five stacks of cash on her thigh, the woman screamed, instantly flung the nail polish onto the sofa, excitedly turned around, threw her arms around Old Seven's neck, and with a smack, planted a heavy kiss on his face.
"Dear, where did all this money come from? Is it all for me?"
"Of course!" Old Seven reveled in his wife's startled yet awestruck admiration: "It's all for you—hurry up and put it away; tomorrow we'll go buy some special clothes."
The woman swiftly gathered the money, went into the bedroom—no one knows where she hid it—and soon came back out. Then, as she walked, she began undressing, eventually stripping completely naked, and climbed onto Old Seven's lap, straddling him.
"Honey, today I'm going to really reward you."

At the same time, the second devil parked the car in front of a civilian house in He County Town, then picked up two stacks of money placed on the passenger seat, his eyes full of reluctance. Finally, he threw one stack back before opening the car door and getting out.
The house looked quite nice — likely newly built just a few years ago. However, the courtyard wall was only waist-high, and the gate was made of woven branches. The second devil picked up the rickety gate, which seemed ready to fall apart at any moment, tossed it aside, and strode confidently into the courtyard.
Inside, a man in his early thirties with a buzz cut sat cross-legged on the kang (heated brick bed), a small dining table before him holding two plates: one of fried peanuts, one of pork head meat. This man was Liu Wencai, the second devil's cousin—thin, deep-set eyes, dull complexion, clearly drained by alcohol and lust.
"Slurp!"
Liu Wencai lifted his wine cup, took a slurping sip, drew the liquor into his mouth, then picked up his chopsticks, grabbed a piece of fatty and lean pork head meat, and ate it with great relish.
With a bang, Liu Wencai heard the outer door being violently shoved open, his face instantly turning pale. Thinking it was debt collectors, when he saw it was the second devil, he flew into a rage, grabbed his rice bowl, and prepared to smash it.
The second devil quickly raised his hand, waved the stack of hundred-yuan bills: "Don't hit me—I brought you money."
Liu Wencai's body stiffened, his gaze slowly shifting to the money in the second devil's hand, his eyes instantly blazing with fire, unable to resist sticking out his tongue to lick the corner of his mouth—his utter greed plain for all to see.
"Yang Er, is this money meant for me?"
"Exactly!" The second devil walked over, slapped the money down on the table with a crack: "But I need you to do something."
"Oh my!" Liu Wencai enthusiastically grabbed the second devil: "Brother, come on, up on the kang—let's have a couple drinks."
Saying that, Liu Wencai placed his bowl in front of the second devil, picked up the half-bottle of erguotou on the table, and poured him a little.
The second devil didn't hesitate, climbed onto the kang still wearing his shoes: "Big Brother, the food's great today—there's even pork head meat."
"I had good luck today, scraped together a bit, so I bought some pork head meat to improve the meal," Liu Wencai said, eyes locked on the money on the table: "Yang Er, speak up—what do you want me to do?"
The second devil leaned forward, lowered his voice: "Kill someone!"
"Kill someone?" Liu Wencai shook his head violently: "No way!"
The second devil smirked, picked up the money on the table: "Big Brother, this is ten thousand yuan—besides killing someone, what other job could pay you this much? If there really were such a job, would it even come around to you?"
"You're right," Liu Wencai mused, "it really is like that: tell me, who do you want me to kill?"
The second devil leaned in again, voice even lower than before: "Zhou Andong!"
"Zhou Andong?" Liu Wencai's eyes flickered, then he slammed the table hard: "No problem—I'll get this done properly for you."
The second devil laughed, raised his wine cup: "Big Brother, I toast you."
Liu Wencai lifted his wine cup, they clinked, he drank, set the cup down, and asked curiously: "Little Brother, who's got a grudge against Zhou Andong and wants him dead?"
"Big Brother, you've forgotten the rules of the road?" The second devil waved his hand, stern: "I gave you the money—finish the job cleanly, don't ask extra questions. It's not in your interest to dig deeper."
"Exactly, exactly!" Liu Wencai nodded, admitting fault: "I won't ask, I won't ask."
The second devil's expression softened: "Big Brother, Zhou Andong definitely has bodyguards—you sure you can handle it?"
Liu Wencai didn't answer, instead got down, rummaged through the cabinet, and finally pulled out a homemade short gun: "Little Brother, with this, even if Zhou Andong had a dozen bodyguards, it wouldn't matter—one bang, and his brains are blown out."
