Chapter 1271: Shameless 2
"Qi Tian, don't waste your breath on him. Let's beat him until he can't crawl up and then leave. A wise man doesn't fight when the odds are against him!" Shi Ran reminded him.
And so, Qi Heng finally understood; it turned out they had teamed up to distract him.
There are two outcomes to being heartbroken.
One is losing the will to live, and the other is rebounding from rock bottom!
Qi Heng was the latter. He had originally been beaten to the point of having no strength to fight back, but now, stimulated, he suddenly erupted with immense power. With an "Awoo," he jumped up, giving Yun Qitian a fright.
What was going on?
Had he been injected with adrenaline?
How could his inner universe explode for no reason?
He had been riding on top of Qi Heng, beating him, but he was suddenly thrown face-first into the dirt, without even a moment of mental preparation.
Qi Heng had gained the upper hand; Shi Ran hadn't expected things to backfire.
He smashed down viciously at Yun Qitian's head; one blow like that would leave him dead or crippled.
Shi Ran lunged forward and knocked him away; he didn't land the hit!
At this moment, Qi Heng's bodyguards arrived. The numbers changed, and the situation immediately became different.
Yun Qitian was restrained.
Qi Heng was helped up by his bodyguards, staggered over to him, and slapped him across the face several times, back and forth!
With a final strike to the back of his neck, Yun Qitian passed out!
"Qi Tian, Qi Tian!"
Shi Ran shouted with all her might, struggling desperately.
She was restrained by Qi Heng's men and taken toward Qi Heng's private jet.
"I'm not going, let me go, let me go!"
She protested strongly, but it was useless.
She couldn't break free on her own and was ultimately taken away.
Yun Qitian woke up.
He had been woken up by airport staff.
This area had been cordoned off just moments ago, and none of the airport staff could get through.
They could see the fight from afar, but due to Qi Heng's status, they were not allowed to approach.
Qi Heng's plane had suddenly taken off; it didn't follow regulations at all—it was an emergency takeoff.
Once they were gone, the airport staff discovered that the Yun Family's young master, Yun Qitian, had fainted on the ground!
The first thing he asked upon waking was: "Where is Ranran? My wife."
The staff shook their heads in confusion: "We didn't see the young mistress."
Yun Qitian was furious and immediately exploded: "What are you all good for, huh? On our own turf in Jiangzhou, you actually watched as foreigners kidnapped my wife..."
The staff were in the wrong and didn't dare talk back even when scolded; they could only apologize timidly.
But what was the use of apologies?
Yun Qitian was quick-witted; he calmed down rapidly and asked: "How long have they been gone? Is it too late to implement air traffic control?"
Staff:...
This was a major issue, not something they, as lowly ground staff, could handle.
So they reported it to the control tower, but the tower didn't have the authority either.
They continued to report it up the chain... during this time, Yun Qitian was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan—pacing back and forth.
His wife had been kidnapped, and these people didn't know what they were doing; instead of saving her immediately, they were passing the buck!
In reality, not much time had passed; in about ten minutes, the final decision came down—air traffic control could not be used, as it didn't follow the rules.
"To hell with the rules." Yun Qitian was incredibly angry and cursed.
Then he boarded his own helicopter.
The pilot couldn't fly without receiving flight instructions!
Flying in violation of regulations was a major incident; without a doubt, his flying career for the rest of his life would be over.
"Fine, if you won't fly, move aside!" Yun Qitian's aura was fully unleashed, and the biting cold radiating from his body made people shudder.
The pilot trembled with fear: "Young Master, what are you trying to do? You can't act recklessly."
He knew that Young Master Yun had a pilot's license.
But his skill level was usually limited to flying a circle around the beach or the seaside.
His goal was obvious—he wanted to use the helicopter to chase the presidential plane, which was too dangerous.
"Move aside, or you fly and chase them, pick one!"
Finally, the pilot gritted his teeth and vacated the seat.
The helicopter wobbled into the sky, heading toward L Country without a second thought.
Yun Qitian didn't think about his own safety at all; he only had one thought in his mind, and that was to bring his wife back!
The presidential plane.
Shi Ran and Qi Heng sat opposite each other, glaring at one another.
She said to him, word for word: "I'll give you a chance. Send me back, and I'll treat this as a moment of confusion on your part; I can let bygones be bygones."
"Let bygones be bygones?"
"Hahahahahaha..."
Qi Heng laughed in an incredibly arrogant manner, as if he had heard a joke, laughing until tears even came out.
Finally, he finished laughing and stared at Shi Ran with eyes like a hawk, his gaze so fiery it was as if he wanted to burn a hole through her.
He gritted his teeth: "You betrayed me, yet you have the nerve to talk to me about letting bygones be bygones. Shi Ran, don't think that just because you're married I will let you go. You are thinking too simply; you are mine, and you will always be mine."
"In life you are my person, and in death you will be my ghost; the two of us will be together for all eternity, never to be separated."
She looked at him as if looking at a stranger; that was right, in her eyes he was a stranger now, so strange it was as if they had never known each other.
"You have changed."
She spat out the words coldly, her voice devoid of even a shred of emotion.
If before today Shi Ran still held a tiny place for him in her heart, then now there was absolutely nothing left; he had been completely excised.
"That's right, I have changed, but can you blame me for that?"
Qi Heng was emotionally agitated and blamed Shi Ran: "I loved you so much, but what did I get? Only coldness and betrayal. Everything you once said was fake, all lies to deceive me. You are just like your parents, merchants, profit-seeking..."
"Slap!"
He received a slap to the face; it was Shi Ran who hit him.
She did not want to see this face, twisted by emotional agitation, any longer; it was too ugly, making it impossible to even keep a good impression.
"You dare hit me? You bit—" Qi Heng raised his hand high, but did not strike down, and the words he wanted to use to curse her ultimately did not leave his mouth.
"Hit me, why aren't you hitting me?"
Shi Ran provoked him: "I am already married, I am now a member of the Yun Family, and I am still a merchant, the profit-seeking kind you look down upon. I have nothing to do with you, so are you kidnapping me for our family's money?"
"Name a figure, how much do you want? Even though we merchant families are profit-seeking, we won't be short on the ransom."
This was the deepest humiliation Qi Heng had ever suffered!
There was no other.
She understood him and knew how to make him angry and lose his temper.
If nothing unexpected happened, Qi Heng might let her go back in order to prove his innocence.
He was indeed preparing to do just that.
But at this moment, the pilot exclaimed: "Who is that? It looks like they are coming for us."
The current altitude was not the altitude for a helicopter.
Qi Heng asked viciously: "Investigate immediately and find out exactly what is going on!"
They had already flown out of the territory of Jiangzhou, and below them was the open sea.
Now he wanted to do something, and afterwards he could claim it was for self-preservation!
"It is a plane from the Yun Family, and the person piloting the plane is Young Master Yun."
