Chapter 22: Driving Away the Fool

"Ahem."

Wang Yingzhi coughed twice in embarrassment, then told the servant to go upstairs and bring down the doll.

The servant did not move, reminding Wang Yingzhi: "Madam, the Eldest Young Master has given orders that if the Eldest Young Mistress is wronged in the Villa, he will make that person pay it back a thousandfold!"

Thinking of her son, Wang Yingzhi shuddered, and her entire bellyful of anger vanished in an instant.

She dared not move against Shi Youxuan openly; back then, because of the Jian Yixin incident, the bond between mother and son had already become as thin as paper, and if she were to anger her son again because of Shi Youxuan now...

The consequences would be unimaginable.

She couldn't move against her openly, but she could always do it behind her back, right?

Wang Yingzhi squeezed a fake smile onto her face and beckoned to Shi Youxuan: "Come here. I am your mother-in-law and your elder; I wouldn't really hold a grudge against you, would I? You haven't served me tea yet; come in and serve me tea."

Shi Youxuan knew things weren't that simple, but she still obediently returned, took the tea poured by the servant, and served it to Wang Yingzhi: "Mother-in-law, please have some tea."

The tea was warm; it was impossible to make an issue out of the teacup.

Wang Yingzhi took it and drank a mouthful.

With the daughter-in-law's ceremony complete, Wang Yingzhi wiped a gold bracelet off her wrist and handed it over as a meeting gift: "A gift for you, put it on."

"Thank you, Mother-in-law." Shi Youxuan put it on her wrist; the bracelet was quite heavy, but the style was old-fashioned and not at all pretty.

But Wang Yingzhi felt a sharp pang of heartache; if she had known earlier that she would have to let a fool serve her tea, she should have just prepared a red envelope and stuffed a few banknotes in it to brush her off.

Setting down the teacup, Wang Yingzhi stood up and said to Shi Youxuan: "Accompany me for a walk outside; the weather is nice today, it's stifling in the house."

"Mm."

Wang Yingzhi raised her arm slightly, waiting for Shi Youxuan to come over and support her.

After waiting for a long time, there was no movement; Shi Youxuan was at least a meter away and had no intention of coming over at all.

This infuriated Wang Yingzhi; back when she was a daughter-in-law, she had to know what was going on at a single glance from her mother-in-law, otherwise she would be scolded.

Since Shi Youxuan wouldn't come over to hold her arm, she went over and grabbed Shi Youxuan's arm to step out the front door.

Ahead was the artificial lake; Wang Yingzhi dragged her toward the lakeside, saying sweet things: "Let's go for a walk by the lake; the scenery there is beautiful, I like it very much." But her eyes were shifty, constantly looking left and right to see if anyone was around.

The water by the lake wasn't deep and wouldn't drown anyone, but it was more than enough to scare someone and give them a show of force.

Arriving at the lakeside, Wang Yingzhi suddenly changed her face, gripped Shi Youxuan's arm tightly, and asked fiercely: "Tell me, was it your father's idea for you to marry into our family?"

"No." Shi Youxuan shook her head.

"If you don't tell the truth, I'll push you down and drown you."

Wang Yingzhi forced Shi Youxuan to admit it, even turning on the recording function on her phone, preparing to take the "evidence" back to claim credit!

She had come here under the "entrustment" of her sister-in-law to do two things.

First, to persuade her son to give up the title of General Manager of the company. Second, to drive Shi Youxuan away so that Shi Yuke could marry in again.

Both things were for the sake of Sheng Yukai, but Bai Xue was so eloquent that she made Wang Yingzhi believe that as long as Sheng Hanyu agreed, he would be taking a huge advantage.

Shi Youxuan wasn't actually a fool, so of course, she wouldn't admit to something that didn't exist.

When she wouldn't say it, Wang Yingzhi kept pressing her to admit it, getting more and more agitated, and eventually, she just started using her hands.

Shi Youxuan "accidentally" knocked her mother-in-law's phone into the lake.

Wang Yingzhi was furious and gave Shi Youxuan a hard shove, wanting to push her into the lake to vent her anger!

She quickly squatted down and covered her head with her hands; the mother-in-law pushed at empty air, lost her balance, and "Splash!" fell headfirst into the water!

Water splashed everywhere; Shi Youxuan didn't hesitate at all and immediately ran back, shouting as she ran: "Help! Help! Mother-in-law fell into the lake!"

The servants and bodyguards rushed to the lakeside and scrambled to fish Wang Yingzhi out of the lake.

With water still dripping from her head, Wang Yingzhi emerged from the water soaking wet and sneezed several times in a row.

"Where is that woman? Where is Shi Youxuan? Bastard, how dare she hide?"

She was about to explode with rage; with her son away, she had wanted to hold her head high and put on airs as a mother-in-law, but she had been repeatedly humiliated by a fool. She couldn't swallow this anger; she had to let it out.

"Shi Youxuan, you dead woman, come out here!"

Wang Yingzhi didn't even bother to take a shower and change clothes first; she hurried to look for Shi Youxuan in every room to settle the score, and finally dragged the woman who was holding Zai Zai out of a closet in a guest room on the second floor!

To snatch back a "meeting gift" she had already given away—Wang Yingzhi's pettiness made the servants and bodyguards standing outside curl their lips; they despised her from the bottom of their hearts.

But no matter how much they despised her, this person was still the Eldest Young Master's mother, so they could only complain in their hearts and dared not say it out loud.

The bracelet was "snatched" back by Wang Yingzhi without effort, and Shi Youxuan was driven out the front door by her just as easily.

Sheng Hanyu left the Sheng Family, but instead of returning to his own home, he went to the Apartment.

He had been guarding here for many days, yet he still hadn't managed to guard that person!

He had sent people to investigate, and this house was indeed under Jian Yixin's name, and the time it was purchased was four years ago.

Jian Yixin had said before that she liked places with mountains and water, to build a small house far away from the crowds, growing flowers in the front and vegetables in the back...

He cautiously kept watch in the Apartment, because he did not know what Jian Yixin would think of him, so he was careful and timid, only keeping watch here; everything in the room was kept as it was, for he was afraid that if Jian Yixin came back and saw things had been moved, she would be unhappy.

The housekeeper called to tell him that Wang Yingzhi had gone to the Villa to look for him, and asked him what to do?

Sheng Hanyu coldly replied with two words: "Don't see her!"
