Chapter 44: Just Want to Bully You
Shi Yuke pushed gently, and the door actually opened; Achou was sitting cross-legged on the bed watching TV, laughing until she swayed back and forth.
That face was already ugly to begin with, and it looked even worse when she laughed.
She only took one look before immediately turning her head away; she couldn't look, if she looked again she would vomit!
Achou spoke up: "You are not allowed to enter my room from now on, get out."
……
As soon as she spoke, the voice was even more unpleasant, as grating as metal scraping against glass.
Shi Yuke almost threw the tray and ran out.
She tried hard to restrain herself, but the bowls and dishes still kept clattering on the tray, and Shi Yuke's teeth were also chattering: "A, Achou, I, I am here to bring you your meal."
She placed the tray on the table and ran away as if fleeing.
All the flattery and ingratiating words she had prepared in her stomach, along with her introduction and attempts to build rapport, were not said at all.
"Pfft—"
Achou covered her mouth and snickered; to "welcome" Shi Yuke, she had specifically added some ingredients to her face while Jian Yining was away picking her up.
The "pimples" were already ugly enough, and she had also applied a liquid that emitted an unidentifiable color onto the "pimples"...
Closing the door, Shi Youxuan picked up the chopsticks to eat.
Shi Yuke knew how to cook; although she wasn't an expert, it was much better than what Shi Youxuan made, because she was going to marry into a wealthy family, and being able to whip up a few signature dishes was one of the standard requirements for a wealthy lady!
After the meal, she placed the tray at the door, and Shi Youxuan locked the door to sleep.
Shi Yuke kept watch in the living room for half the night, and only when she was sure there was no movement upstairs did she dare to return to her room to rest.
Achou was truly too ugly, so ugly that her heart would race whenever she passed Achou's room, but seeing the tray at the door and the note on it, Shi Yuke could no longer afford to be afraid.
The note was densely packed with the work that needed to be done tomorrow: wake up at six in the morning to make breakfast, clean the room at seven sharp, sweep the floor, wipe the windows, dust the tables and chairs...
It was meticulous, covering almost every single chore.
Shi Yuke was so furious she was steaming before she even finished reading; this was bullying people too much, are you the servant or am I the servant?
She was so angry that she even threw her fear aside, raising her hand to "slap-slap" the door: "Achou, you come out here, come out and explain to me what you mean?"
"You're even assigning me chores? Who do you think you are? I am a guest of honor invited by your young master, you are just a servant, what right do you have to boss me around..."
The door was opened from the inside, and Achou's ugly face was right before her eyes; Shi Yuke was so scared she quickly covered her eyes with her hands: "Stay away, stay away from me."
The sound of metal scraping glass rang out again: "This is what the young master ordered."
"Bang!"
Just as Shi Yuke was about to chase after her to ask, the door was suddenly slammed shut, almost hitting her nose.
……
Shi Youxuan hadn't slept at all last night, but tonight she had eaten her fill and slept quite well.
It was just that now it was Shi Yuke who couldn't sleep; she called her mother to report that she was safe, telling her that she was currently staying at the Jian Family Villa and wouldn't be going home for a few days.
She also asked her mother to tell her father that she was staying at her cousin Jiang Siwei's house.
Jiang Yadan asked her what was going on with Sheng Yukai?
If there were no problems between the two of them, her daughter wouldn't be staying at the Jian Yining Villa.
Mentioning Sheng Yukai made her feel annoyed, and because she was in a bad mood, her tone was also bad: "Don't ask anymore, I've turned the page on him."
"He's not buying you the villa anymore?"
Jiang Yadan still couldn't stop thinking about the villa in the Half Mountain District.
"Alright, just don't ask anymore, and remember not to let it slip in front of my dad." Shi Yuke gave another instruction before hanging up the phone.
She tossed and turned in bed like a pancake, and only drifted into a hazy sleep when dawn was about to break.
However, she had just fallen asleep when she was jolted awake by a forceful knocking on the door; thinking something terrible had happened, she jumped out of bed barefoot, pulled the door open, and was about to run out—"Ah!"
A shrill scream echoed throughout the entire Villa, making Achou's eardrums "buzz."
"Ghost, a ghost!"
Shi Yuke dove under the bed, shivering, her face deathly pale, unable to even speak clearly.
Shi Youxuan was dressed in white clothes and white pants, wearing a long wig on her head; the wig was so thick it almost covered her entire face.
Added to that was her face—it really did look like a ghost!
She walked in barefoot, holding the head of a broom, and poked Shi Yuke with the broom handle: "Come out, come out."
"Ah, ah... get away, get away... don't touch me!"
Shi Yuke was shaking like a sieve; she was scared to death, screaming unconsciously, not even knowing what she was shouting.
Shi Youxuan suppressed a laugh, thinking to herself, is this all you've got?
You better hold out a little longer, the fun is still to come.
Every time Shi Yuke stopped screaming, Shi Youxuan would poke her with the broom, and then she would scream desperately again: "Help! Someone come!"
Half an hour later.
"Help..."
"You get out, I beg you, stop scaring me."
Shi Yuke was still huddled under the bed, her voice completely hoarse, able to make only a very faint sound.
She had also realized that the one knocking wasn't a ghost, but Achou, who was even scarier than a ghost, but she still didn't dare to come out.
"Are you really that afraid of me?"
Shi Youxuan had finished her makeup and couldn't even bear to look at herself a second time, yet now she asked while knowing the answer.
"Afraid!"
Shi Yuke didn't hesitate: "Please, get out, as long as you don't let me see you, I'll do anything."
"You should have said so earlier; wouldn't it have been easier if you'd just agreed right away?"
Before the words had even faded, a slip of paper drifted before her: "Follow what's written here; if you dare to tell on me, I'll make you regret it." This sentence was very familiar; in the past, whenever Yuke bullied Shi Youxuan, she would often say this.
But she didn't think in that direction right now, because upon seeing the content on the paper—she was so angry she nearly blew smoke from her seven orifices!
It was still that same chore schedule from last night; it turned out that pretending to be a ghost to scare people before dawn was just to make her do chores.
Yuke crawled out from under the bed, cautiously pulled the door open to look outside, and the hallway was empty with no one there; she "slammed" the door shut and then bolted it again.
This is too bullying.
I moved here to get closer to Jian Yining, not to be bullied by an ugly monster like you.
Yuke could bear it no longer; she embellished the events that had just occurred into a text message and took a photo of the chore schedule, but just as she was about to send it... she hesitated.
If she sent it over, what if Jian Yining didn't believe her?
She didn't know how long Achou had been staying here, and it looked like Jian Yining trusted her quite a bit; if Achou were to bite back, she would be in a passive position.
Sheng Yukai was unreliable, but she absolutely could not miss out on Jian Yining again.
Thinking this way, Yuke swallowed her anger; isn't it just getting up to make breakfast?
Fine, I'll feed you to death.
Yuke went to the kitchen to make breakfast, and Achou supervised the work in the kitchen.
The wig had been taken off, and although she still looked very ugly, at least she wasn't so terrifying.
"Add sugar when grinding the soy milk; I don't like it plain."
"The peanut butter must be spread evenly; why are you so clumsy?"
"Wait a while before toasting the bread!"
"I don't eat fried eggs, I eat boiled ones; make sure they're soft-boiled, don't overcook them... the bacon is burnt, chop the vegetables finer, the steak should be medium-rare..."
Achou's grating voice rang in her ears endlessly; it was just breakfast, yet the demands were excessive and the details were extremely picky.
She was deliberately finding fault with her—Yuke was clear on that.
She endured it not because she had a good temper, but because she had quietly turned on the recording function of her phone and placed it in an inconspicuous spot to collect evidence!
Empty words were too pale; when Jian Yining came, she only needed to place the evidence before him, and without saying a word, the fact that the wicked servant Achou was bullying her mistress would be presented before his eyes one by one!
Breakfast was finally finished, but Achou didn't head toward the dining room; instead, she walked toward the place where the phone was hidden...
